[Item 5]
PUBLIC ON NONAGENDA ITEMS. I SEE WE HAVE BONNIE CASHMORE WHO SIGNED UP TO SPEAK.PLEASE COME FORWARD AND YOU WILL HAVE THREE MINUTES TO SPEAK. IT DOESN'T START UNTIL YOU START
TALKING. DON'T WORRY. >> FIRST OF ALL, I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR TAKING US SERIOUSLY AT THE LAST MEETING. I KNOW YOU PUT TOGETHER.
WE WERE WONDERING WHEN THE SIGN WILL GO UP OR MAYBE PUT A PAPER SIGN UP.
ALSO THE SHERIFF SAID HE WAS GOING TO PUT UP SOMETHING WITH HIS NAME AND PHONE NUMBER AND
ALL THAT. WE HAVEN'T SEEN THAT EITHER. >> IT'S ONE OF OUR AGENDA ITEMS
SO WE WILL DISCUSS THE ITEM ITSELF. >> ALSO, I JUST WALKED AROUND THE SMALL DOG PARK. THERE ARE 14 HOLES. MAINTENANCE HAS GONE DOWN A LOT.
THEY'RE NOT WORKING WELL. SOMEBODY WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE IS NOT HERE.
I THINK THAT'S PRETTY MUCH IT. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING. I HOPE THINGS WILL COME
TOGETHER. >> THANK YOU VERY MUCH. >> IF I COULD JUST, AND THIS WON'T BE A BACK AND FORTH, THERE'S A PARKLAND APP. IF YOU DOWNLOAD THAT ON YOUR PHONE, YOU CAN TAKE PICTURES OF ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED OR FIXED.
SEND IT RIGHT IN AND IT GOES RIGHT TO THE DEPARTMENT. SO IT'S A REALLY EASY WAY TO MAKE SURE THAT ANYTHING THAT YOU SEE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IS GETTING TO THE RIGHT
DEPARTMENT IMMEDIATELY. >> THAT'S NICE. >> IF YOU COULD DOWNLOAD THE
PARKLAND APP. >> DO ANY OF YOU HAVE A DOG? DO YOU GO THERE?
>> I USED TO. MY DOG PASSED. BUT WE LOVE THE PARK.
>> TIME TO GET ANOTHER ONE. >> BUT I WOULD SUGGEST IF YOU DOWNLOAD THE PARKLAND APP AND SHARE WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOR, IT'S A GREAT WAY TO COMMUNICATE EVERYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED, SUCH AS HOLES. ANYBODY ELSE FROM THE PUBLIC ON A NONAGENDA ITEM? SEEING NO ONE FROM THE PUBLIC, I AM CLOSING TO THE PUBLIC AND OPENING TO THE COMMISSION. I WILL BEGIN WITH COMMISSIONER KAGAN.
>> THANK YOU, MAYOR. I JUST WANTED TO SHARE WITH MY FELLOW COLLEAGUES HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE THE WAY THINGS WERE HANDLED WHEN I HAD TO LEAVE A LITTLE BIT EARLY AT THE LAST MEETING. I REALLY APPRECIATE THE WAY THAT YOU GUYS THOUGHT OF ME AND IT MEANT A GREAT DEAL. I ALSO WANT TO PERSONALLY THANK JACKIE BECAUSE WITHOUT JACKIE, I DON'T KNOW IF I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THROUGH THE NIGHT. AS WELL AS PARKLAND FIRE AND BSO. SO THANK YOU ALL. AND LET THE RESIDENTS FEEL REST ASSURED THAT I FEEL COMPLETELY SAFE AND WELL TAKEN CARE OF. IT'S BECAUSE OF ALL OF YOU.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I ALSO WANTED TO SAY AS DIFFICULT AS A WEEK THAT WE'VE HAD WITH THE ANNIVERSARY, I WANT TO THANK STAFF AND AND MY COLLEAGUES SITTING UP HERE BECAUSE IT WAS A VERY EMOTIONAL YET POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE, AND WHEN YOU HAVE A TRAGEDY LIKE THAT, PEOPLE EXPERIENCE THINGS IN SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS AND EMOTIONS ARE HIGH AND YOU DON'T ALWAYS KNOW WHAT TO SAY OR HOW TO REACT. SOMETHING THAT I REALLY LEARNED IS JUST BE PRESENT. JUST BE THERE AND JUST LET PEOPLE KNOW THAT YOU CARE.
[00:05:08]
THAT IS SOMETHING THAT I THINK IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT I THINK WE SHOULD ALL CONSIDER AN LIVE BY. OTHER THAN THAT, THAT'S ALL I HAVE.THANK YOU. >> THANK YOU. >> CAN WE GET ON THE AGENDA OR ON THE WORKSHOP ON THE 18TH, A DISCUSSION ON THE MEMORIAL? BECAUSE WITH SUNSHINE, WE CAN'T EVER TALK ABOUT THAT. I CAN GET SOMETHING THAT WE REALLY NEED TO JUST TALK ABOUT
OPENLY. >> THANK YOU. COMMISSIONER WALKER.
>> THANK YOU, MAYOR. I'M GLAD YOU'RE DOING WELL, STACY.
WE WERE NERVOUS FOR A LITTLE BIT. GLAD YOU'RE BACK UP AND HOBBLING AROUND AGAIN. I JUST WANTED TO SAY IT WAS VERY NICE TO SEE SO MANY PEOPLE PARTICIPATING IN THE DAY OF SERVICE ON THE 14TH THROUGHOUT THE CITY'S OF PARKLAND AND CORAL SPRINGS. I WANTED TO MENTION A COUPLE PEOPLE WHO I THOUGHT DID A FANTASTIC JOB. OBVIOUSLY, CITY STAFF OF PARKLAND.
TURNOUT WAS GREAT. THEY HAD SNACKS. THEY HAD MEDITATION.
EAGLES HAVEN IS A FANTASTIC PARTNER HERE IN PARKLAND. TES IT WAS GREAT TO SEE THEY HAD SUCH A GREAT TURNOUT. THE FIRST RESPONDERS BREAKFAST THAT THEY HAD, I THOUGHT THAT WAS A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY FOR THEM TO THANK THE FIRST RESPONDERS. EVERYBODY SEEMED TO ENJOY THAT. I PERSONALLY DID.
IT WAS GREAT TO SEE EVERYBODY THERE. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT THE FAMILIES OF THOSE WHO LOST SOMEONE GO THROUGH ON A DAILY BASIS.
THEY ARE THE STRONGEST PEOPLE I KNOW. THEY FIGHT FOR ALL OF US, NOT JUST US IN PARKLAND. NOT JUST IN FLORIDA. BUT THEY'RE MAKING POSITIVE CHANGES ACROSS AMERICA. WHETHER IT'S STAND WITH PARKLAND, MAKE OUR SCHOOLS SAFE, SAFE SCHOOLS FOR ALEX. YOU HAVE TONY, LORI, MAX. THEY'RE ALL WORKING SO HARD TO MAKE POSITIVE CHANGES. AND I JUST WANTED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT AND I HOPE FRIDAY, SEEING ALL THE LOVE AND ALL THE SUPPORT THAT WE HAVE HERE IN PARKLAND AND CORAL SPRING, I HOPE THAT GIVES SOME OF THE FAMILY MEMBERS. SHE WAS SUCCESSFUL IN NEW JERSEY. THAT WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE THAT DONE IN FLORIDA.
THE CLEARING HOUSE THAT WAS DONE WITHSTAND WITH PARKLAND, ALSO THE WHITE HOUSE, IT WAS GREAT TO SEE POSITIVE IMPACTS. JUST TREMENDOUS TO SEE WHAT THESE FAMILIES GO THROUGH EVERY DAY TO HELP US. I'M FOREVER -- SOMEBODY AS A FATHER OF FIVE SCHOOL AGE SCHOOL CHILDREN, I'M FOREVER IN THEIR DEBT FOR ALL THE HARD WORK THEY'RE DOING TO TRY TO MAKE OUR CHILDREN AND EVERYBODY ELSE'S CHILDREN SAFE ON A DAILY BASIS. I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU
TO ALL OF THEM. THAT'S ALL I HAVE. >> COMMISSIONER CUTLER?
>> THANK YOU, MAYOR. I'M GOING TO MIRROR SOME OF THE SENTIMENTS THAT COMMISSIONER WALKER'S ALREADY EXPRESSED. I AM VERY HAPPY TO SEE COMMISSIONER KAGAN UP HERE DOING BETTER. WE MISSED YOU THAT NIGHT. YOU SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ALL OF US. THANK YOU. IN REGARDS TO OUR DAY OF SERVICE AN WHAT WE HAVE CALLED I GUESS A COMMEMORATION OF I WANTED TO EXPRESS IN A DIFFERENT WAY.
I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL TO THE PARENTS OF ALL THESE CHILDREN AND ALL OF THE PEOPLE AND THE
[00:10:02]
KIDS THAT HAVE GONE OUT THERE TO CHANGE OUR PERSPECTIVE ON A LOT OF THING, MOST PARTICULARLY SAFETY OF THE CHILDREN AND TEACHERS THAT ARE IN THE SCHOOLS.BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, EMPHASIZING THE NOTION THAT WE NEED TO BE A LITTLE BIT MORE MINDFUL OF NOT JUST THE WEAPONRY IN THE WORLD, BUT ALSO OF PEOPLE THAT ARE SUFFERING FROM MENTAL ILLNESS AND HAVING ISSUES AND HOPEFULLY WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF DEALING BETTER GLOBALLY WITH THOSE ISSUES. THE SENTIMENT -- THERE WERE ONLY TWO SENTIMENTS THAT I CAME OUT WITH FROM THAT DAY OF SERVICE. THE FIRST IS AN OVERWHELMING SENSE OF LOVE THAT I FOUND IN THIS COMMUNITY JUST IN EVERYTHING THAT WE'VE DONE, FROM THE MORNING BREAKFAST WITH THE FIRST RESPONDERS AND THE INTERFAITH VIGIL THAT WE HAD. THERE WAS A LOT OF LOVE IN EVERY ROOM. IF WE ARE THE PEBBLE IN THE POND, THE RIPPLES OF THAT PEBBLE CAN GO OUT AND SPREAD THEMSELVES TO THE REST OF THE STATE AND THE REST OF OUR COUNTRY AND THE REST OF THE WORLD, THEN THIS IS GOING TO BE A BETTER PLACE. THE SECOND THING THAT I TAKE FROM THAT IS TO EXPRESS TO MY STAFF, THE PEOPLE I WORK WITH, HOW PROUD I AM OF WHAT YOU DO, NOT JUST ON THAT DAY, BUT EVERY DAY TORQUE MAKE THIS A BETTER PLACE.
AND YOU INSPIRE ME AND YOU MAKE THIS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE. WE SEEM TO BE UNDER A SHADOW FOM THAT DAY. THE COURAGE COMING THROUGH WITH THE STRENGTH OUR COMMUNITY IS SHOWING IS GOING TO CARRY US THROUGH. AND WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS.
SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MAYOR. >> VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHN. >> FIRST, COMMISSIONER KAGAN, I'M GLAD YOU'RE BACK UP HERE. I DON'T SEE YOUR WALKER, SO THINGS ARE LOOKING BRIGHTER.
I'M GOING TO ECHO SOME OF THE SAME SENTIMENTS OF FEBRUARY 14TH.
WE KNOW IT WAS A DIFFICULT DAY IN OUR COMMUNITY AND A DIFFICULT DAY FOR ALL OF US.
WE ALL PARTICIPATED. I WANT TO THANK NANCY AND HER STAFF AND EVERYONE WHO COORDINATED THE ACTIVITIES ON THAT DAY. I ALSO WANT TO RECOGNIZE THE TREMENDOUS STRENGTH AND COMPASSION THAT OUR STAFF CONTINUES TO HAVE.
I KNOW THAT WE CONTINUE TO MONITOR OUR EMPLOYEES TO ENSURE THEY ARE SUPPORTED.
I HOPE THAT OUR COMMUNITY CONTINUES TO MONITOR THEMSELVES TO MAKE SURE THAT THOSE THAT ARE STILL SUFFERING, THOSE THAT STILL HAVE TRAUMA, ARE REACHING OUT AND GETTING THE SUPPORT THAT THEY NEED. ONE THING I JUST WANT TO CIRCLE BACK ON IS, I REMEMBER WHEN DR. SCHOENFELD CAME HERE AND WE TALKED ABOUT SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES DURING THE SUMMER AND HE SHOWED US THE GRAPH OF WHERE WE WERE AND HOW TO GET PAST. I THINK WE'RE ON OUR WAY TO SOME GROWTH WITH EVERYTHING THAT IS HAPPENING FROM OUR DIFFERENT NONPROFITS AND DIFFERENT GROUPS.
I'M PROUD OF THIS COMMUNITY. I ALSO WANT TO RECOGNIZE THE MAYOR AND HER LEADERSHIP BECAUSE THERE'S A LOT OF THINGS THAT WE'VE DONE NOW IN THE PAST TWO YEARS THAT WE CAN LOOK ON AND REFLECT. THERE WAS A LOT OF PRESSURE TO BE VERY ACTIVE IN JUMPING INTO THINGS. AND SHE DIRECTED US TO TAKE A STEP BACK, TAKE A PAUSE, TAKE A LOOK AT IT, GET THAT SUPPORT, CONCENTRATING MORE ON THE MENTAL HEALTH FOCUS OF IT.
I THINK IN HINDSIGHT, IT'S WORKED OUT VERY WELL. SO THANK YOU, MAYOR, FOR YOUR LEADERSHIP. I UNDERSTAND THE WORK THE MAYOR DOES BECAUSE THERE WAS A COUPLE THINGS I PARTICIPATED IN, IN HER ABSENCE. SOME OF THEM THANK YOU.
SOME OF THEM, I'M NOT SURE THANK YOU. I DID ATTEND THE ROADRUNNERS YOUTH PROGRAM. THEY HAVE A GREAT PROGRAM. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT I PARTICIPATED IN AND WAS LEADING THEM THEIR FIRST TWO LAPS IN WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A WARM-UP
[00:15:07]
LAP. I DON'T KNOW IF HE THINKS A WARM-UP LAP IS RUNNING A FIVE MINUTE MILE. LITTLE TIRED BUT I MANAGED TO PERSEVERE THROUGH IT.I ALSO GOT TO CHAIR THE NORTHWEST OFFICIALS MEETING. I WANT TO THANK THE COMMISSIONER FOR ATTENDING. COMMISSIONER CUTLER AND COMMISSIONER KAGAN HAD SOME OTHER OBLIGATIONS THAT DAY. I WANT TO THANK NANCY FOR ATTENDING AS WELL AND STEPHANIE AND LISA FOR THEIR SUPPORT FOR ARRANGED THE MEETING AND WORKING THINGS OUT.
ALSO ONE OF THE THINGS IN THE MAYOR'S ABSENCE, AND I THANK THE MAYOR AS WELL, I GOT TO THROW OUT THE FIRST PITCH UNDER THE LIGHTS AT THE ANTHONY RIZZO STADIUM.
THE OUTCOME WASN'T AS GREAT AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. 3-3 TIE AGAINST CORAL SPRINGS.
LAST NIGHT THEY PLAYED THEIR FIRST SEASON OPENER AND LOST TO WESTERN HIGH SCHOOL 5-2.
THEIR THIRD BASEMAN AND SHORTSTOP, HE THIS IS JUST A PRESEASON GAME.
THERE WERE TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF SCOUTS FROM MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL AND DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS. I KNOW HE'S GOING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA.
GOOD LUCK TO HIM AND WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN THE DRAFT. DR. JESSICA RUIZ FROM THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ASSOCIATES OF BROWARD COUNCIL, JEWISH FAMILY SERVICES, LEARN ABOUT THEIR MISSION, FUNDING OF MENTAL HEALTH AND TRAUMA CARE FOR OUR COMMUNITY AND HOW THAT'S BEING PUT INTO ACTION. COUPLE THINGS FROM TALLAHASSEE, OUR LOBBYIST TEAM.
ONE OF THE BILLS THAT I WANT TO THANK MICHELLE IS THE 459. THIS IS THE HOUSE BILL WHICH IS BILL WOULD PROHIBIT LOCAL GOVERNMENTS FROM APPLYING LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS THAT REQUIRE SPECIFIC BUILDING DESIGN ELEMENTS SUCH AS COLOR AND VARIOUS ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS.
THE GOOD NEWS IS AND THE SENATE COMPANION, WHICH IS SB954 BY SENATOR PERRY, THAT IS UP IN THE COMMUNITY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE AND THEY ARE NO LONGER MEETING THIS SESSION.
SO IT SEEMS THAT UNLESS SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENS, THAT BILL WILL DIE A SLOW DEATH.
ALSO ON THE TALLAHASSEE FRONT, WE'RE DEALING AGAIN WITH VACATION RENTALS.
SEEMS THERE'S A LOT OF TRACTION. THE HOUSE COMMERCE COMMITTEE CONSIDERING TOMORROW.
IT WILL UNDO WHAT WE HAVE IN OUR LOCAL VACATION ORDINANCE. THE COUPLE BROW CARD DELEGATE MEMBERS ARE ON THAT COMMITTEE. REPRESENTATIVE STARK. WE CAN REACH OUT TO THEM BETWEEN NOW AND TOMORROW AND LET THEM KNOW OUR THOUGHTS THAT WOULD BE GREAT.
THAT WOULD MAKE IT ITS FINAL COMMITTEE STOP. CSSB1128 IS NOT SCHEDULED YET FOR ITS FINAL COMMITTEE STOP, WHICH IS THE RULES COMMITTEE. SO, AGAIN, KEEP ABREAST OF THOSE AND CONTINUE TO ADVOCATE, WHICH I KNOW WE ARE DOING. FINALLY, I WANT TO RECOGNIZE OUR MAYOR. ON MARCH 15TH, THOSE WHO MAY NOT KNOW, WE KNOW, BUT THOSE IN THE PUBLIC MAY NOT KNOW THAT OUR MAYOR IS ACTUALLY OF IRISH DISSENT.
SHE WILL BE RECOGNIZED AS THE IRISH MOTHER OF THE YEAR FOR THE ANIMAL SOCIETY AT THE ST.
PATRICK'S SOCIETY 70TH ANNUAL GALA WHICH IS SUNDAY MORNING 9:30.
CONGRATULATIONS. THOSE ARE MY COMMENTS. >> I WON'T BE DOING AN IRISH JIG, I PROMISE. STACY, WE'RE GLAD THAT YOU'RE FEELING BETTER.
ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU WERE GONE AND WE HEARD YOU WERE HEADING TO THE HOSPITAL AT OUR LAST MEETING. IT WAS MY PLEASURE TO ASK THE COMMISSION TO DEFER THE ITEMS UNTIL THIS MEETING SO THAT YOU COULD BE HERE TO BE PRESENT TO BE VOTING ON THE CLERK.
AND BOB, I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR COVERING FOR ME WHEN NEEDED. THAT'S WHAT A LOT OF PEOPLE, I DON'T THINK THEY ALWAYS REALIZE. WE DIVIDE AND CONQUER UP HERE, MAKING SURE WE ARE COVERING AS MUCH GROUND IN THIS WONDERFUL COMMUNITY AS WE CAN. MY COMMENTS WILL MAINLY BE ABOUT
[00:20:02]
FRIDAY. I THINK FRIDAY ENDED UP BEING FOR MANY PEOPLE A MORE DIFFICULT DAY THAN EXPECTED BECAUSE I THINK WITH THE SECOND COMMEMORATION THERE MIGHT HAVE BEEN A FEELING WE WERE DOING A LITTLE BETTER THAN WE MIGHT HAVE ACTUALLY FELT ON FEBRUARY 14TH.I WANT TO FIRST OF ALL THANK OUR STAFF. YOU DID A PHENOMENAL JOB LAST YEAR AND YOU DID A PHENOMENAL JOB THIS YEAR. THE HEART AND SOUL YOU PUT INTO THE EFFORT TO MAKE SURE THE COMMEMORATION IS SOMETHING WORTHY OF THE 17 WHO WERE KILLED AND SOMETHING WORTHY OF THOSE WHO WERE INJURED AND SOMETHING WORTHY OF THOSE WHO ARE STILL SUFFERING AND SOMETHING WORTHY TO SHOW THE REL SILL -- THAT DOESN'T JUST HAPPEN.
SO I WANT TO THANK YOU ALL FOR THAT, ALL OF OUR STAFF. I WANT TO ALSO THANK THE STAFF OF CORAL SPRINGS WHO PARTNER WITH US ON ALL OF THIS AND EVERY PART OF IT AND WITH WHOM WE COULDN'T DO THIS WITHOUT. I WANT TO THANK EAGLES HAVEN FOR EXTENDING HOURS LAST WEEK.
IT'S JUST SO IMPORTANT. WE TALK ABOUT HOW GREAT THE COMMUNITY IS.
WE'RE ALSO BLESSED AS A COMMUNITY TO HAVE ALL THE SUPPORT WE HAVE OUT THERE.
I WANT TO RECOGNIZE SOME OF THAT. THE PRINCIPAL DID A WONDERFUL JOB. OUR TEACHERS AND STAFF. THEY HAD ACTIVITIES GOING ON IN THE MORNING. OUR NORTHWEST BROWARD CLERGY DID OUR HOUSES OF WORSHIP DID AN AMAZING JOB. THE RABBI BOXMAN WAS THE ONE ORGANIZING THE WHOLE THING.
EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED AND ALL THE FEEDBACK I GOT ONCE AGAIN THIS YEAR WAS HOW MEANINGFUL SERVICE IT WAS. IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO GO THROUGH A TRAGEDY LIKE THIS AND FIND WHERE THE MEANING IS IN IT. I DON'T THINK ANYONE DOES IT BETTER THAN OUR INTERFAITH COALITION UP HERE. VARIOUS HOUSES OF WORSHIP ALSO HOSTED SERVICES AND JUST HAD PLACES FOR OUR RESIDENTS TO GO. SEVERAL HELPED WITH SERVICE PROJECTS AND WITH THE FIRST RESPONDER BREAKFAST THAT TOOK PLACE THAT MORNING. I WANT TO THANK HANDS ON BROWARD CANINE ASSISTED THERAPY, ALL THE VOLUNTEERS AND EVERYONE WHO MADE FEBRUARY 14TH SUCH A MEANINGFUL DAY OF SERVICE AND LOVE, HONORING THE 17 LIVES TAKEN, THE 17 WHO WERE INJURED AND OUR ENTIRE COMMUNITY THAT WAS TRAUMATIZED. I AM SO INCREDIBLY PROUD OF THIS COMMUNITY AND THE STRENGTH THEY HAVE SHOWN. THE STRENGTH OUR FAMILIES HAVE SHOWN IN NOT ONLY WANTING TO HONOR THEIR LOVED ONES BUT MAKING A DIFFERENCE SO NO ONE HAS TO GO THROUGH WHAT WE'VE BEEN THROUGH. OUR COMMUNITY'S ACTIVE CHOICE TO BE A LIGHT IN THIS WORLD. TO TAKE A HORRIFIC EVENT AND CHOOSE TO STAND UP TALLER AND STRONGER AND TO SERVE THOSE IN NEED BY REALIZING THAT WE FIND PURPOSE WHEN WE SERVE OTHERS AND TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD. OUR COMMUNITY, IN MY OPINION, AND OUR FAMILIES, ARE THE EPITOME OF RESILIENCE. I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO THANK THOSE WHO REACHED OUT TO US ON FEBRUARY 14TH TO LET US KNOW YOU HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT OUR FAMILIES AND YOU HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY. I FEEL ONE OF THE BIGGEST FEARS WHEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS IS THAT YOU JUST BECOME AN AFTER THOUGHT OR AN ASTERISK AND THE REST OF THE WORLD MOVES ON AND FORGETS THE LOVED ONES AND FORGETS THE COMMUNITY.
WITH THAT I WOULD LIKE TO THANK WILLIAM KROZER FROM THE WHITE HOUSE GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT AND FORMER MAYOR OF SOUTH BEND PETE BUTTIGIEG WHO BOTH CALLED ME ON FEBRUARY 14TH I APPRECIATE THEM TAKING THE TIME OUT OF THEIR BUSY SCHEDULES TO CALL TO CHECK IN ON THE COMMUNITY AND TO LET US KNOW THAT THEY WERE THINKING OF US AND PRAYING FOR OUR COMMUNITY.
I WANT TO THANK THE CORAL SPRINGS COMMISSION, MAYOR SCOTT BROOK, VICE MAYOR JOY CARTER, COMMISSIONER SONSERA, JOSH SIMMONS AND LARRY VIGNOLA FOR YOUR PARTNERSHIP ON FEBRUARY 14TH AND EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR. WE APPRECIATE ALL THEY DO FOR OUR COMMUNITY EVERY DAY.
[00:25:05]
I WANT TO THANK THE COCONUT CREEK COMMISSION, MAYOR SANDY WELSH, COMMISSIONERS MICKY BELVEDERE AND THE CITY FOR HOSTING A BUTTERFLY RELEASE AND CEREMONY AND FOR ISSUING A PROCLAMATION THAT WE ACCEPTED ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND. WE APPRECIATE THEIR FRIENDSHIP AND THEIR PARTNERSHIP MORE THAN I CAN EXPRESS. I WANT TO THANK OUR BROWARD COUNTY COMMISSIONER MICHAEL UDINE. HE WAS EVERYWHERE TO BE SEEN ON FEBRUARY 14TH. AND HE IS ALWAYS NO MORE THAN A PHONE CALL AWAY TO SUPPORT US IN WHATEVER WE NEED. I WANT TO THANK SHERIFF TONY WHO WAS HERE THROUGHOUT THE DAY.HE ATTENDED SO MANY EVENTS INCLUDING THE FIRST RESPONDER EVENT.
WE APPRECIATE HIS SUPPORT AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. I WANT TO THANK CONGRESSMAN TED DEUTCH FOR ATTENDING THE FIRST RESPONDER BREAKFAST AND FOR ALWAYS THINKING OF OUR COMMUNITY AND SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY. I ALSO WANT TO THANK BROWARD COUNTY'S MAYOR, THE VICE MAYOR ARLENE SCHWARTZ AND STEVE TKPWELER'S OFFICE FOR ATTENDING THE INTERFAITH CEREMONY.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK MANY OF OUR OUT OF STATE FRIENDS WHO REACHED OUT DIRECTLY TO ME TO LET THE COMMUNITY KNOW THEY WERE THINKING OF US INCLUDING NICOLE HAWKLY, DILLEN'S MOM FROM SANDY HOOK, DAYTON'S MAYOR, SANTA FE TEXAS MAYOR. THEIR SHOOTING WAS JUST THREE MONTHS AFTER OURS. SANTA FE TEXAS COMMISSIONER IVE HOPE.
LINCOLN NEBRASKA'S MAYOR BAIRD, PO MURRAY FROM THE NEW TOWN ACTION ALLIANCE, PETE KELLY FROM BOSTON LATIN SCHOOL, MAGGIE FEINSTEIN, THE DIRECTOR OF THE 1027 HEALING PARTNERSHIP IN PITTSBURGH THAT WAS FORMED AFTER THEIR MASS SHOOTING, JASON CUNSMAN, THE CHIEF PROGRAM OFFICER FROM THE JCC IN PITTSBURGH AND JOY REED FROM AM JOY FOR THEIR KIND AND THOUGHTFUL MESSAGES THAT THEY SENT ME TO LET US KNOW THAT THEY WERE THINKING OF OUR COMMUNITY.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK THE MANY BROWARD COUNTY ELECTED KPH OFFICIALS WHO HAVE BEEN A SOURCE OF SUPPORT NOT JUST ON FEBRUARY 14TH BUT EVERY DAY INCLUDING THE WESTIN MAYOR, SUNRISE MAYOR, LAUDERDALE LAKES MAY KWHROR, PEPL BROOK PARK MAYOR, NORTH LAUDERDALE MAYOR, DAVEY MAYOR, PLANTATION MAYOR LYNN STONER, MICHELLE GOMEZ AND WESTON COMMISSIONER BYRON JAFFEY. I WANT TO THANK THEM AND ALL WHO REACHED OUT DIRECTLY AND ALSO INDIRECTLY AND KEPT US IN YOUR THOUGHTS THAT DAY. WE ARE VERY BLESSED TO HAVE SO MUCH SUPPORT FROM WITHIN OUR CITY, OUR COUNTY, OUR STATE, AND OUR COUNTRY.
TO THE FAMILIES OF THE 17 VICTIMS AND THE 17 INJURED AND ALL WHO WERE AFFECTED, I HOPE YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN OUR HEARTS EVERY DAY AND THAT WE AS A CITY HAVE COMMITTED TO NEVER FORGETTING YOU, TO ALWAYS REMEMBERING AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO HONOR YOU THROUGH SERVICE AND CONTINUE TO ADVOCATE FOR OUR COMMUNITY. I WANT TO THANK THE FAMILIES FOR SHOWING UP, SHOWING COMPASSION, SHOWING HUMANITY NOT JUST ON FEBRUARY 14TH BUT THE WAY YOU ALL CARE ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY IS EVIDENT AND IT'S SOMETHING THAT MAKES OUR COMMUNITY SO VERY SPECIAL. SO I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU FOR ALL YOU DO AS ESPECIALLY FOR WHAT YOU DO ON FEBRUARY 14TH. THAT'S IT FOR MY THANK YOUS.
I THOUGHT IT WAS IMPORTANT. SO MANY COMMUNITIES GET FORGOTTEN.
I WANTED EVERYBODY TO KNOW WHO REACHED OUT TO KNOW WE APPRECIATE IT.
ON ANOTHER NOTE, I WILL BE ASKING, I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S AT STRATEGIC PLANNING OR ONE OF THE FUTURE MEETINGS THAT WE HOLD A DAY OF COMPASSION THAT WE CAN HOLD IN SEPTEMBER OR OCTOBER TO CONNECT OUR COMMUNITY TO THE VOLUNTEER WORK BEING DONE BY VARIOUS SERVICE ORGANIZATION AND HOUSES OF WORSHIP IN OUR COMMUNITY. IT WOULD BE A DAY OF SERVICE AND A WONDERFUL REMINDER FOR THE NEED OF COMPASSION TOWARD OUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS.
I WILL BE PUTTING THAT AS SOMETHING -- I WILL BE WORKING WITH NANCY TO SEE WHEN THE BEST
[00:30:03]
TIME IS THAT ON AN AGENDA. THOSE ARE MY COMMENTS. COMMISSIONER CUTLER?>> I APOLOGIZE, I MEANT TO DO THIS FROM A PROCEDURAL STANDPOINT.
COMMISSIONER KAGAN HAD ASKED FOR SOMETHING TO BE PLACED ON THE AGENDA AND I WILL SECOND THAT SO
WE CAN GET IT ON THE AGENDA. >> NEXT ON THE AGENDA IS THE APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA.
[Item 6]
>> MOTION TO APPROVE. >> I HAVE A MOTION BY VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHN, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER KAGAN. ALL THOSE IN SUPPORT SAY AYE. PLEASE SHOW IT PASSES.
[Consent Agenda]
NEXT IS THE CONSENT AGENDA, 7A AND 7B. IF ANYBODY FROM THE PUBLIC WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK ON OUR CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS PLEASE COME FORWARD.SEEING NO ONE FROM THE PUBLIC, I AM CLOSING TO THE PUBLIC AND OPENING TO THE COMMISSION.
>> MOTION TO APPROVE. >> SECOND. >> I HAVE A MOTION BY VICE MAYOR MAY MAYO MAYERSOHN. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT PASSES
[Item 8]
UNANIMOUSLY. ITEM 8A.>> ARE WE GETTING A PRESENTATION FROM SOMEONE? NO? ALL RIGHT. I WILL OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, IF ANYBODY WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK ON THE REGULAR AGENDA ITEM. PLEASE COME FORWARD. SEEING NO ONE FROM THE PUBLIC, I
AM CLOSING TO THE PUBLIC AND OPENING TO THE COMMISSION. >> MOTION TO APPROVE.
>> SECOND. >> I HAVE A MOTION BY COMMISSIONER KAGAN, SECOND BY
COMMISSIONER WALKER. ROLL CALL, PLEASE. >> COMMISSIONER CUTLER.
>> YES. >> COMMISSIONER KAGAN. >> YES.
>> COMMISSIONER WALKER. >> YES. >> VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHN.
>> YES. >> MAYOR HUNSCHOFSKY. >> YES.
PLEASE SHOW THAT IT PASSES UNANIMOUSLY. 8B CITY CLERK SELECTION.
>> GOOD EVENING. JACKIE MAINWYER. WE HAVE THIS OPPORTUNITY TONIGHT FOR YOU ALL TO DISCUSS THE INTERVIEWS THAT YOU DID WITH FIVE VERY GOOD CANDIDATES FOR CITY CLERK ON JANUARY 28TH. WE'VE GOT FIVE PEOPLE WHO ARE RARING TO GO TO COME AND SERVE THIS COMMUNITY. SO MY RECOMMENDATION WOULD BE PROCEDURALLY, TO SEE IF MAYBE YOU ALL WOULD LIKE TO TALK ABOUT IT. YOU MAY HAVE SOME AGREEMENTS ALREADY AMONGST YOU AS TO WHO YOU MIGHT BE LOOKING AT AS YOUR CANDIDATE.
IF NOT, WE'VE GOT SOME OTHER METHODOLOGY TO COME UP WITH WHO YOU WOULD LIKE TO PUT IN THAT POSITION. I THINK IT WOULD BE BEST FOR YOU ALL TO, IF YOU'RE AGREEABLE TO
THAT, TO START HAVING A GOOD CONVERSATION ABOUT IT. >> SOUNDS GOOD.
WOULD ANYBODY LIKE TO START THE DISCUSSION? GO AHEAD, COMMISSIONER WALKER.
YOU LOOK READY TO GO. I SEE YOU PUSHING THE MICROPHONE THERE.
>> I GUESS TO START, WE SHOULD -- I MEAN, ALL THE CANDIDATES, I THOUGHT, WERE WELL QUALIFIED AND I THINK WOULD DO A FANTASTIC JOB HERE IN THE CITY. I DON'T WANT TO SAY CONCERN, I THINK SOME OF THE CANDIDATES MAYBE COMING FROM A BIGGER CITY, COMING HERE, MIGHT FIND THEMSELVES, I ALMOST WANT TO SAY -- I DON'T WANT TO SAY OVERQUALIFIED, BUT THEY SEEM TO BE -- IT'S A SMALLER CITY. IT'S MORE STRAIGHT AND NARROW WHAT WE'RE -- WHAT'S NEEDED OF THEM. SO PERSONALLY, I THOUGHT THE BEST FIT, I GUESS, SHOULD I --
>> YEAH. >> OKAY. I THOUGHT THE BEST FIT WOULD BE ALLISON MORALES. SHE'S AN ASSISTANT CITY CLERK NOW SO THIS WOULD BE, YOU KNOW, A PROMOTION, SO TO SPEAK. AGAIN, SOME OF THE OTHER CANDIDATE, I THINK COMING FROM BIGGER OFFICES WITH MORE EMPLOYEES MIGHT FIND THIS, YOU KNOW, LESS CHALLENGING, I SHOULD SAY. THAT'S KIND OF MY THOUGHT ON THE CANDIDATES WE HAVE.
>> SHE'S THE ONE FROM CORAL SPRING, WHICH IS THE BIGGEST CITY.
[00:35:06]
VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHN. >> FIRST OF ALL, I AGREE WITH COMMISSIONER WALKER.
ALL THE CANDIDATES WERE VERY WELL VERSED. HAVE THE BACKGROUND, HAVE EXPERIENCE. ONE OF THE CANDIDATES THAT ROSE TO THE TOP FOR ME WAS ALLISON MORALES. THE REASON I SAY THAT IS, WHEN I HAD ASKED HER A QUESTION, SHE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL IN HER ANSWER AND ONE OF THE THINGS THAT RESONATED ABOUT WHO SHE WAS GOING TO WORK FOR IS SHE SAID, I WORK FOR THE RESIDENTS FIRST. AND THAT STRUCK ME AS, SHE'S WORKING FOR THE CITY, FOR THE PEOPLE. THAT KIND OF SEPARATED HER FROM EVERYBODY ELSE. NOT TO SAY EVERYBODY WASN'T QUALIFIED, BUT THAT TO ME STRUCK
ME. THAT WOULD BE MY SELECTION. >> COMMISSIONER KAGAN?
>> THANK YOU, MAYOR. I AGREE WITH MY COLLEAGUES. WE HAD, I THINK, FIVE VERY QUALIFIED PEOPLE. EACH HAD DIFFERENT THINGS THEY BROUGHT TO THE TABLE.
THERE WERE TWO THAT STOOD OUT TO ME EXTREMELY STRONGLY. ONE BEING ALLISON MORALES AND THE OTHER BEING AEYSHA ROBINSON. EITHER OF THEM, OR ANY OF THESE CANDIDATES WERE ALL HIGHLY QUALIFIED, BUT FOR MANY REASONS, THOSE WERE THE TWO THAT REALLY FOOD OUT FOR ME.
>> COMMISSIONER CUTLER? >> I FELT THE SAME WAY. I'M FINE WITH EITHER OF THOSE
CHOICES. >> ALL RIGHT. WELL THEN I WOULD SAY WE'LL DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR A CHANGE, SINCE THERE IS ALREADY CONSENSUS WITH THE TOP TWO AND ALLISON MORALES BEING IN EVERYBODY'S TOP TWO AS OPPOSED TO SOMEONE WHO IS ONLY IN SOME PEOPLE'S TOP TWO. THAT WE SHOULD PROBABLY GO FORWARD WITH ALLISON MORALES.
>> I WOULD AGREE. >> DO WE NEED A MOTION? >> YES, I RECOMMEND YOU HAVE A
MOTION. >> WE NEED TO OPEN FOR THE PUBLIC?
>> YES. >> WITH THAT, I WILL OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, IF ANYBODY FROM THE PUBLIC WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK ON THIS AGENDA ITEM. SEEING NO ONE FROM THE PUBLIC, I AM CLOSING TO THE PUBLIC AND OPENING TO THE COMMISSION. AGAIN, THERE WAS ONLY ONE PERSON WHO WAS IN AMONG THE TOP CHOICES FROM EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THIS COMMISSION.
THIS COMMISSION IS NOW DECIDING THE DIRECTION WILL BE TO GO WITH THE PERSON WHO IS AMONG THE TOP CHOICES OF EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THIS BOARD. WITH THAT, WE HAVE A MOTION AND
A SECOND. >> MOTION TO APPROVE ALLISON MORALES AS CITY CLERK.
>> SECOND. >> I HAVE A MOTION BY VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHN, SECOND BY
COMMISSIONER KAGAN. ROLL CALL. >> CUTLER.
>> VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHN. >> YES. >> COMMISSIONER KAGAN.
>> YES. >> MAYOR HUNSCHOFSKY. >> YES.
>> SHOW THAT IT PASSES UNANIMOUSLY. >> YOU MAY ALSO WANT TO MAKE A
MOTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT. >> THAT'S WHERE I WAS GOING.
>> THANK YOU. SORRY. I DIDN'T MEAN TO JUMP THE GUN.
>> I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE EVERYBODY WAS IN ON THE COMMISSION IS OKAY.
NANCY HAD REACHED OUT AND ASKED IF WE WERE OKAY WITH THAT. I WANTED TO MAKE SURE.
THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY. ARE YOU OKAY WITH STAFF MOVING FORWARD AND NEGOTIATING A
CONTRACT? >> YES. >> EVERYONE'S OKAY WITH THAT.
IS THAT OKAY, ANNIE -- ANTHONY OR DO YOU NEED A VOTE? >> WHAT HE SAID.
>> I MAKE A MOTION WHAT ANTHONY SAID. >> ROLL CALL.
>> COMMISSIONER KAGAN. >> YES. >> COMMISSIONER CUTLER.
>> YES. >> COMMISSIONER WALKER. >> YES.
>> VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHN. >> YES. >> PLEASE SHOW THAT, TOO, PASSES
[Item 9]
UNANIMOUSLY. NEXT ARE COMMENTS BY THE BROWARD SHERIFF'S OFFICE.>> GOOD EVENING PARKLAND DISTRICT. I'D LIKE TO FIRST OFF ECHO WHAT YOU HAVE SAID BUT MY THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF, THE CITY, THE PUBLIC WORKS GUY FORCE DOING ALL THE HEAVY LIFTING FOR US IN TERMS OF THE PHYSICAL SECURITY PUTTING BARRIERS OUT FOR US.
REALLY APPRECIATE THAT. TODD AND GAIL WORKED CLOSELY WITH US.
[00:40:03]
CAROL WAS INDISPENSABLE ON KEEPING US UP TO DATE ON WHAT THE SCHOOL BOARD'S PLANS WERE.CHRISTINE AND HER FOLKS AT PARKS AND RECS. EVERYBODY DID A GREAT JOB.
WE APPRECIATE ALL THE ASSISTANCE. A QUICK UPDATE.
WE CONTINUE TO HAVE OUR OVERNIGHT RESIDENTIAL CAR BURGLARY ISSUE.
WE GOT BANGED UP A LITTLE LAST FRIDAY. SAME STORY SO I'M NOT GOING TO GET HEAVILY INTO IT. ONE OF THE THINGS WE'VE DONE IS WENT BACK ON SOCIAL MEDIA, SPECIFICALLY TARGETED PINE TREE ESTATES AND PUT SOME INFORMATION TO THOSE FOLKS.
VALUE ALREADY IN HAVING THE LIEUTENANT HERE, HER CONNECTIONS WITH CORAL SPRINGS BURGLARY TEAM AND JUST HER KNOWLEDGE OF THE PLAYERS IN GENERAL. SHE ALREADY SET UP AN INTELLIGENCE MEETING WITHIN HER FIRST WEEK HERE. WE HAD THREE OR FOUR AGENCIES.
THE ROOM WAS PACKED. MY UNDERSTANDING WE HAD MORE THAN THAT.
I'M UNDERSELLING HER. SHE'S DONE A GREAT JOB. REALLY HAPPY TO HAVE THAT GOING FOR US. LASTLY, I WOULD LEAVE YOU WITH THOSE OF YOU MAY NOT KNOW BUT SPECIAL OLYMPICS IS, I DON'T WANT TO CALL IT A CHARITY. NOT SURE WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR.
IT IS AN ORGANIZATION NEAR AND DEAR TO LAW ENFORCEMENT. IT IS THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CHARITY. IT IS SOMETHING ALL THE AGENCIES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, WE AR PACE AT THIS TIME WITH THE SPECIAL OLYMPIC. EVERY YEAR WE DO A TORCH RUN TO BRING IT UP TO TALLAHASSEE WITH THE GAMES PARTICIPATED. THIS YEAR WE'RE DOING SOMETHING UNIQUE. WE'RE DOING A TIP A COP EVENT. TIP A COP IS OUR WAY OF RAISING MONEY FOR SPECIAL OLYMPIC. YOU COME IN, YOU HAVE DINNER AT THE RESTAURANT AND YOU HAVE LAW ENFORCEMENT AS SERVERS. WE'RE GOING TO TRY TO STIFF ARM YOU FOR AN EXTRA TIP.
IT GOES TO THE SPECIAL OLYMPIC. WE WILL BE DOING TWO EVENTS COMING UP IN THE NEXT TWO WEEK.
FIRST ONE IS DEJA VU THE 25TH FROM 5 P.M. TO 8 P.M. PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE TIME, SPEND SOME TIME WITH US, SPEND SOME MONEY AND TIP WELL. THAT'S ALL I HAVE.
I KNOW YOU ALL HAVE INFORMALLY MET LIEUTENANT DEVLIN BUT I THOUGHT THIS WAS A BETTER TIME FOR HER TO STEP UP FORMALLY AND TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT HERSELF.
>> GOOD EVENING, EVERYONE. LIKE THE CAPTAIN SAID, THIS IS MY 24TH YEAR WITH BROWARD SHERIFF'S OFFICE IN VARIOUS POSITIONS THAT I WON'T GO INTO DETAIL ABOUT.
I AM HONORED TO BE HERE. I CONSIDER IT A BLESSING. I WILL SERVE THE REST OF THIS YEAR. I'M EXCITED AND WANT ALL OF YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU CAN COUNT ON
ME. >> WELCOME AND THANKS FOR REALLY HITTING THE GROUND RUNNING ALREADY. APPRECIATE IT. APPRECIATE YOU BEING HERE.
[Item 10]
COMMENTS BY THE CITY MANAGER. >> I DO HAVE A FEW THIS EVENING. I'D LIKE TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE CITY IS THE RECIPIENT OF THE 2020 NATURE SCAPE EMERALD AWARD FROM BROWARD COUNTY.
WE RECEIVED THIS AWARD FOR OUR SIX ACRE PARK.
FOR MAINTAINING A MODEL FLORIDA FRIENDLY LANDSCAPE AND INVASIVE REMOVAL.
SO WHAT THEY'RE GOING TO DO IS RECOGNIZE THE CITY AT THE BROWARD WATER MATTERS DAY, WHICH WILL BE AT TREE TOP PARK IN DAVEY ON SATURDAY, MARCH 14TH AT 9:00.
LISA WILL SEND OUT A MEETING REQUEST TO YOU ALL ON THAT. ALSO, DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL, MAY AND JUNE, AS YOU KNOW, WE'RE VERY BUSY WITH STRATEGIC PLANNING AND BUDGETING.
THE COMMISSION WILL BE IN LIKE FIVE ADDITIONAL STRATEGIC PLANNING MEETINGS.
OUR AGENDA IS PRETTY LIGHT IN JUNE DUE TO TRYING TO GET THE BUDGET AND STRATEGIC PLANNING TOGETHER, I'M REQUESTING THAT WE CANCEL THE JUNE 3RD MEETING AND JUST HAVE ONE MEETING FOR THE
MONTH OF JUNE. >> I THINK THAT'S GREAT. LIKE YOU SAID, WE'RE GOING TO
HAVE AT LEAST FIVE ADDITIONAL MEETINGS. >> FIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING.
>> WE WANT TO MAKE SURE STAFF HAS ENOUGH TIME TO WORK OFF OR WORK THROUGH ALL THOSE ITEMS THAT WE'RE GOING TO BE GIVING YOU DURING STRATEGIC PLANNING. I WOULD RATHER YOU HAVE THE TIME TO DO THAT AS THOROUGHLY AS POSSIBLE SO WHEN WE HAVE OUR MEETINGS, OUR SECOND MEETING IN
JUNE, THAT WE'RE READY TO DIVE IN AND APPROVE IT. >> IF EVERYONE AGREE, THAT WOULD BE WONDERFUL. I'LL HAVE A REVISED CALENDAR AT OUR NEXT MEETING.
>> THANK YOU. >> COMMENTS BY THE CITY MANAGER? >> CITY ATTORNEY.
[Item 11]
>> SORRY, CITY ATTORNEY. >> NO PROBLEM. >> I KNEW WHAT I WAS SAYING.
[00:45:05]

HAVE A GREAT NIGHT. >> THAT'S IT. AND WITH THAT, DO I HAVE A
MOTION TO ADJOURN? >> MOTION TO ADJOURN. >> MOTION BY VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHN, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER CUTLER. ALL IN FAVOR SIGNIFY BY SAYING AYE.
