[1. Call to Order]

[00:00:09]

>> OKAY. GOOD EVENING, EVERYONE.

GOOD EVENING, EVERYONE. I WOULD LIKE TO CALL THIS REGULAR CITY COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF PARKLAND CITY OF PARKLAND, ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH, 7:00 P.M. TO QUARTER. PLEASE RISE FOR THE PLEDGE.

>> I PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS.

ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE WITH LIBERTY AND

JUSTICE FOR ALL. >> ROLL CALL.

>> EXCUSE ME. EXCUSE ME.

ORDER IN THE CHAMBERS, PLEASE. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES.

[4. Approval of Minutes]

>> MOTION APPROVED. >> I.

>> WE HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE BY VICE MAYOR ISROW.

ALL IN FAVOR? >> I DO.

[5. Comments from the Public on Non-Agenda Items]

>> THESE SHOW IT PASSES UNANIMOUSLY.

COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON NONAGENDA ITEMS? IS THERE ANY ONE FROM THE PUBLIC THAT WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK ON A NONAGENDA ITEMS? COME ON, TONY.

>> PULL ON THE TRIGGER. >> HERE WE GO.

>> CAN HE GIVE ME HIS THREE MINUTES?

>> THERE'S NO SHARING OF MINUTES.

>> WHAT ARE YOU STARTING THE CLOCK FOR HER?

>> ONE MINUTES FOR SPEAKERS. >> IT IS LIKE KANYE WEST AND TAYLOR SWIFT OVER HERE. BUT I JUST WANT TO CONGRATULATE CINDY AND NEIL. AND YOU GUYS WILL DO A GREAT JOB LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR SERVICE TO THE CITY OF PARKLAND.

AND THANK YOU GUYS. >> THANK YOU.

>> YOU'RE WELCOME. >> ANYONE ELSE ANYONE ELSE.

SEEING THAT THAT THERE'S NUNCA WE WILL START WITH COMMISSION COMMENTS. WE WILL START WITH COMMISSIONER

BRIER. >> SURE.

THINK EQUIPMENT. I WANT TO CONGRATULATE MY FRIENDS AND ALCOHOLIC ON THEIR I LOOK FORWARD TO THEM BOTH TO CONTINUE TO SERVE THE CITIZENS OF PARKLAND. I WANT TO TOUCH ON A COUPLE OF ISSUES. ONE IS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TWO NEW -- NEWLY ELECTED COMMISSIONS.

COMMISSIONERS AND THE OUTGOING COMMISSION HELP WE HAVE MAINTAINED OUR COLLEGIATE RELATIONSHIP EVEN AMIDST DEALING WITH SOME TOUGH ISSUES BEFORE US.

WHEN YOU CARE ABOUT SOMEONE AND YOU BELIEVE THEY ARE A GOOD PERSON, THERE'S NO ISSUE WITH SEEING THEM SUCCEED.

IN FACT, YOU WANT THEM TO. WE CAN ALL RISE TOGETHER.

THERE'S NO, MAKING THE OTHER PERSON WAS JUST TO MAKE YOURSELF MORE. WANT THEM TO WIN AS MUCH AS YOU WANT YOURSELF TO WIN BUT SOMETIMES EVEN MORE SO.

YOU WANT TO BE THEIR CHAMPION BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT [INAUDIBLE]. THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU AGREE ON EVERYTHING AND OFTENTIMES WE ON THIS DAY IS AND HER TWO COMMISSIONERS WHO JUST ROLLED OFF THIS EVENING HAVE DISAGREED OVER IMPORTANT ISSUES BEFORE THE CITY.

BUT YOU KNOW THEM. YOU KNOW THEIR FAMILIES.

YOU KNOW THEIR VALUES. HE RESPECTS THEIR VIEWPOINT.

YOU THIS INTO THEIR OPINIONS. AND EVEN AFTER DIGESTING IT, EVEN IF YOU STILL DON'T AGREE, THAT IS OKAY.

THERE IS GOOD. THAT IS BENEFICIAL FOR OUR RESIDENTS. BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE THEIR BEST INTERESTS AT HEART. AND SOMETIMES WE JUST DISAGREE ON HOW TO GET THERE AND WE GET TO THE RIGHT RESULT IN A DIFFERENT FASHION. SPEAK TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE.

WE CHECK IN DIFFERENT VIEWPOINTS AND BECAUSE OF OUR EXPERIENCES AND NEED TO UNIQUE PERSPECTIVES, WE HAVE A DIFFERENT LENS.

BUT IN THE END, WE DISAGREE WITHOUT BEING DISAGREEABLE AND EVEN IF ONLY OUR NATIONAL POLITICAL SPHERES AND TOOK THE SAME APPROACH, THINK OF HOW MUCH BETTER OUR WORLD WOULD BE.

MY WISH FOR BOTH OF YOU AS NEW COMMISSIONERS IS THAT YOU KNOW JUST LIKE THE TWO THAT SAT HERE BEFORE YOU AND GAVE US THE SAME ASSURANCE THAT EVEN WHEN WE DISAGREE THAT YOU HAVE A COMFORT AND A KNOWLEDGE THAT WE RESPECT YOU, CARE ABOUT YOU, WE WILL LISTEN TO YOUR VIEWPOINTS AND WE WILL HONOR YOUR DECISION.

THEREFORE, I ENCOURAGE BOTH OF YOU TO GIVE INDEPENDENCE LAW TO EACH ISSUE BEFORE YOU. CONTINUE TO SPEAK WITH RESIDENTS AS I KNOW YOU'VE DONE THROUGHOUT YOUR CAMPAIGNS AND THROUGHOUT THEIR TENURE IN PARKING. SPEAK WITH THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED WITH YOU. ME BEFORE YOU.

SPEAK WITH THOSE SERVING ON A DIFFERENT PLATFORM AND THEN INTO THIS COMMISSION WAS A COMFORT LEVEL AT THE SAME APPROACH THAT WE HAVE SEEN, WORK WELL HERE, WHICH IS LISTEN TO OTHERS, HOLD FIRM TO YOUR VALUES, SPEAK YOUR MIND.

AND E.D. IN, AGAIN, EVEN ON ISSUES WE DON'T ALL AGREE ON THE KNOW THAT YOUR VIEWPOINT IS APPRECIATED AND VALUED.

I CHALLENGE YOU BOTH TO AS I KNOW YOU WILL THAT WE SERVE THE

[00:05:02]

CITY OF PARKLAND AND THE PEOPLE OF PARKLAND.

WE MAY ALL WANT WHAT IS BEST FOR THE RESIDENTS BUT EACH OF US WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT PHILOSOPHY AND APPROACH ON HOW WE GET THERE. AND AGAIN, THAT IS A GOOD THING.

I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE THAT WE DON'T NEED FIVE PEOPLE HERE WHO THINK THE SAME WAY. THAT WAS THE CASE -- IF THAT WAS THE CASE, WE WOULD ONLY EAT ONE PERSON UP HERE.

WITH THAT, I CAN'T TELL YOU ABOUT HOW PROUD I AM OF YOU, HOW HONORED I AM TO NOW SERVED WITH BOTH OF YOU.

I LOOK FORWARD TO TACKLING ALL THAT WE HAVE TO TACKLE TOGETHER IN A PRODUCTIVE AND MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL FASHION FOR THE CITY OF PARKLAND. CONGRATULATIONS.

>> VERY WELL SAID. COMMISSIONER BRIER.

END. >> ZERO.

>> PERFECTLY STATED. I THINK ONE OF THE THINGS I'VE LEARNED IN THIS SHORT TENURE OF THIS WILL IS THAT THIS JOB CAN BE DONE IN 54 WILL BE A THOUSAND DIFFERENT WAYS AND IT DEPENDS ON YOUR PERSONALITY, YOUR OWN EXPERIENCES, YOUR OWN PERSPECTIVE ON THINGS. AND THAT IS, IN FACT, WHAT MAKES EACH PERSON'S CONTRIBUTION VALUABLE IS BECAUSE YOU COME IT FROM YOUR OWN UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE.

SO I AGREE THE EXTENT THAT ONE WHEN ISSUES COME UP IS TO IN A, BE COURAGEOUS. BE REMEMBER THAT SOMETIMES GROWTH AND CHANGE IS DIFFICULT. BUT IT REQUIRES TAKING THAT LEAP OF FAITH AND TO IN A, I THINK THE PERFECT EXAMPLE PROBABLY IS THE HAIR OR EVEN THE PINE TREE ROAD IS THINGS THAT HAVE PROBABLY BEEN GOING ON SPECIFICALLY COUNTRY ROADS FOR YEARS THAT HAVE NEVER REALLY BEEN TACKLED BECAUSE PEOPLE FOR WHATEVER REASON THEY EVEN HAVE SHIED AWAY FROM IT FOR POLITICAL CONCERNS OR BECAUSE OF THE COMPLEXITY AND JUST DIFFICULTY OF REALLY WANTING TO, YOU KNOW, CHALLENGE THEMSELVES TO RESOLVE AN ISSUE THAT IS AS MUCH MORE NUANCED THAN MOST PEOPLE GIVE IT CREDIT FOR. SO I THINK FOR ALL THE TIME YOU HAVE PUT IN AN CAMPAIGNING, THAT IS REALLY JUST SETTING THE TONE FOR THE, I WILL CALL IT ALMOST THE ENDURANCE AND THE KIND OF THE MUSCLE BOTH PHYSICAL AND MENTAL TO BE ABLE TO NOW KIND OF MOVE FORWARD INTO THE ISSUES THAT YOU ARE GOING TO -- THAT ARE GOING TO COME BEFORE YOU. SO I AGREE WITH THAT.

I'M SO PROUD OF BOTH OF YOU. KNOW THAT ANY ELECTION IS NOT EASY REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES, JUST PUTTING YOURSELF OUT THERE, PUTTING YOUR FAMILY OUT THERE.

IT IS TOUGH. AND SOMETIMES, INNER, IT KIND OF PUT YOU IN A MINDSET OF COMMAND, LIKE, IS THIS THE RIGHT THING TO DO AND NOT -- OR NOT? AND THE FACT THAT YOU GO THROUGH THAT, YOU PERCEIVE IT TELLS ME ANYTHING -- EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT YOU GUYS ARE THE RIGHT PEOPLE FOR THE JOB.

I'M EXCITED TO SERVE WITH YOU BOTH.

AND WE ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO DEVELOP THAT SYNERGY, THAT DYNAMIC, THAT WE HAVE COME TO BE ALL APPRECIATED WITH, YOU KNOW, OUR PRIOR COMMISSION. AND FOR THAT IS WHAT I'M EXCITED FOR BECAUSE WITH EACH CHANGE UP HERE IS A CORRESPONDING CHANGE IN OUR COMMUNITY AND I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THE CONTRIBUTION OF NOTCHES YOU BOT BUT ALL OF US HAS A BODY.

SO I WILL SAY CONGRATS AGAIN. I KNOW THERE'S A LOT OF EMOTIONS, I'M SURE, THAT ARE KIND OF RUNNING THROUGH YOU AND THAT IS ALL A GOOD THING. AND JUST REMEMBER THAT THIS HERE IS, SOME WILL CALL IT A JOB. BUT REALLY IT IS A PRIVILEGE.

WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN A PRIVILEGE TO HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE ABLE TO HELP SHAPE AND MOLD A CITY THAT I KNOW ALL OF US TRULY LOVED AND I JUST ASK THAT ALL OF US, YOU KNOW, REMEMBER THAT AND YOU KNOW, HONORED THAT PRIVILEGE AND GIVE IT ALL, GIVE IT YOUR ALL. I ALSO WOULD BE REMISS IF I DID NOT WISH ALLISON A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OBVIOUSLY.

I WOULD LIKE TO WISH EVERYONE A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING, INNER, THIS IS ALWAYS SAY TIME FOR, YOU KNOW, INTROSPECTIVE YOU KNOW, THINK ABOUT THE THINGS YOU'RE THANKFUL FOR YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR. IT IS NOT JUST YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR FAMILY. IT IS OUR COMMUNITY.

I MEAN LOOK AT WHAT WE JUST, YOU KNOW, SAW AND HEAR AND FELT IN HERE THE LOVE AND THE EMOTION IN THIS ROOM IS SOMETHING THAT ALL OF US REALLY SHOULD BE PROUD AND GRATEFUL FOR.

AND THE INNER, LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST.

I WOULD BE MORE MEMBERS IF I DID NOT GIVE A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO THE TWO OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PROPERTY HERE.

MY WIFE, JESSICA, AND MY SON, PARKER, WHO RARELY GETS HERE.

SO I JUST -- EXACTLY EXACTLY. HE TOOK A PAGE OUT OF THE MAYOR'S DAUELSBERG. SO IF YOU EVER NEED A REPLACEMENT THAT HE IS HERE. THANK YOU, AGAIN.

I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO A LOT OF EXCITING THINGS AND CONGRATS.

THOSE ARE MY COMMENTS. >> THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

MAC VICE MAYOR, BOTH OF YOU GUYS SAID IT PERFECTLY.

SO I DON'T WANT TO BELABOR TOO MUCH OF WHAT THEY SAID.

BUT IT WAS AN HONOR CAMPAIGNING WITH YOU BOTH.

I KNOW THAT IS A CAMPAIGN [INAUDIBLE] HARDER.

THEN NEIL DID. BUT NONETHELESS, YOU REALLY

[00:10:02]

SHOWED, YOU SHOWED THE CITY OF PARKLAND WHAT YOU ARE MADE OF.

TO BE OUT THERE LIKE YOU WERE, DAY AFTER DAY, THROUGHOUT THE CAMPAIGN THAT YOU THAT YOU KNOW, I KNOW IT IS VERY STRESSFUL.

BUT YOU HANDLE IT PERFECTLY. AND I THINK, IN A COMPARTMENT DID ITSELF A GREATER SERVICE BY ELECTING YOU.

SO I'M VERY HAPPY AND VERY EXCITED TO SERVE WITH YOU AND OBVIOUSLY WITH YOU AS WELL, N NEIL.

AND NO VICE MAYOR SAID IT BEFORE, THERE'S A LOT OF DIFFICULT TOPICS THAT WE MAY HAVE TO, YOU KNOW, ADDRESS OR THAT WE WILL HAVE TO ADDRESS. BUT THAT IS WHAT WE ARE HERE.

WE'RE HERE TO MAKE DIFFICULT DECISIONS.

BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN WE CAN'T HAVE FUN, WE CAN'T DO IT.

YOU KNOW? EASILY.

RIGHT? BECAUSE WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS THAT WE SHOWED THE RESIDENTS THAT WE CAN GET ALONG SO THAT THEY CAN UNDERSTAND THAT WE DON'T TAKE YOUR.

THERE'S NO REASON FOR INVOLVEMENT IN THE CITY TO BAKER BECAUSE WE DON'T. SO PEOPLE WILL FOLLOW THAT LEAD.

I'M PRETTY MUCH INTO JUST MAKING SURE THAT WHATEVER WE DO UP HERE WHICH WE HAVE BEEN DOING FOR SINCE I'VE BEEN ON THIS COMMISSION EVEN BEFORE I WAS THE MAYOR, IN A, WE UNDERSTAND.

WE ARE DOING IMPORTANT THINGS. BUT WE GOT BUT WE GOT TO HAVE FUND BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT ULTIMATELY WE ARE HERE TO DO IS ENSURE PARKLAND STAYS AN AMAZING PLACE TO LIVE.

AND IN DOING SO, WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THE RESIDENTS ARE ENJOYING THEIR TIME HERE, THEIR PROPERTY VALUES ARE INCREASING AND WE KEEP PARKLAND WHY PEOPLE MOVED HERE.

IT DOESN'T MEAN WE DON'T MOVE FORWARD BECAUSE HE GOT TO MOVE FORWARD. BUT WE NEED TO REMEMBER WHAT PARKLAND IS ABOUT. YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO BE FANTASTIC. I'M VERY MUCH LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING INTO THE TOPICS AND DISCUSSING DIFFERENT THINGS.

TONIGHT, WE HAVE AN EASY AGENDA, WHICH IS FANTASTIC.

YOU KNOW? SO REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.

WE WILL GO TO COMMISSIONER CINDY MURPHY SALOMONE HE.

>> THANK YOU, MAYOR. AND JUST SEEING THE COMMISSION AND HEARING THE WORDS JUST REMINDS ME OF HOW HONORED AND PRIVILEGED I FEEL AND AM TO HAVE BEEN ELECTED AND SERVED IN -- AND OF COURSE, THAT IS A LOT ABOUT, TOO, MY FAMILY.

UNFORTUNATELY, NOT OF MY FAMILY COULD BE HERE TONIGHT.

LONG STORY. BUT THEY ARE ALL DOING THINGS THAT THEY HAVE TO BE DOING BUT THEY ARE WATCHING LIVESTREAMS. SO THAT IS REALLY AWESOME THAT WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY.

BUT I ALSO HAVE TO TAKE ALL OF MY VOLUNTEERS, MY FRIENDS.

A LOT OF THEM ARE HERE TONIGHT. A LOT OF THEM HAD TO GO HOME.

BUT IT TAKES A VILLAGE. THE CAMPAIGNING WAS ROUGH.

BUT IT WAS FUN. WE MADE IT FUN.

AND WE WERE OUT THERE A LOT. MY HUSBAND AND I EVERY MORNING WERE PUTTING UP THAT TENT AND DURING EARLY VOTING.

BUT I DO DEFINITELY WANT TO JUST SAY HOW GRATEFUL I AM AND HOW EXCITED I AM ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE WITH THIS AMAZING COMMISSION. AND THE NEW COMMISSIONER, COMMISSIONER KANTERMAN AND ALSO I DO HAVE TO SAY OF COURSE THE STAFF, NANCY, EVERYONE, INNER, AMAZING BEFORE AND AFTER BEING ELECTED. AND YOU SAID SOMETHING, NANCY.

AND NOW THIS IS A TERM THAT IS USED.

IT IS ALSO AN HONOR TO SAY THAT I WILL BE PART OF A CAN-DO COMMISSION. AND THAT IS PRETTY AMAZING.

AND OF COURSE, YOU KNOW, BOB AND KEN, ALL PART OF THAT.

SO I'M REALLY GRATEFUL AND I DO WANT TO SAY THAT, INNER, DISTRICT THREE IS MY DISTRICT. AND OF COURSE, ALL OF PARKLAND VOTED AND I AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR THE SUPPORT.

AND I DO ALSO WANT TO SAY THAT I'M READILY AVAILABLE.

SO SEE SELEMANI AT THE CITYOFPARKLAND.ORG AND I WILL ALSO MYSELF IS ALWAYS -- MY CELL IS ALWAYS A PHIL PERKINS 954 -- I THINK IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO BE ACCESSIBLE.

SO I WANT TO SAY THAT TO THE RESIDENTS ANYBODY THAT IS WATCHING THE ISSUE CRIMSON KNIGHT OR THAT MIGHT BE ALSO LISTEN TO THE RECORDING LATER. AND AGAIN, I JUST CAN'T SAY IT ENOUGH? I'M SO GRATEFUL AND I HOPE TO, YOU KNOW, DO GREAT WORK. THAT IS MY PLAN AND I LOOK VERY MUCH FORWARD TO IT. THEY KEEP EXPECT EXCELLENT.

THANK YOU. COMMISSIONER CAROLYN?

>> THANKS, OUR MAYOR. NUMBER ONE, I JUST WANT TO TAKE THIS MOMENT TO SAY JUST HOW HONORED AND HOW ABSOLUTELY HUMBLED AND HOW THANKFUL I AM TO BE SITTING IN THIS SEAT.

THIS IS A VERY, VERY SPECIAL PLACE THAT I HAVE COME TO REALLY APPRECIATE IN MY MIND CAMPAIGNING AND REALLY GETTING INTO COMING TO THE MEETINGS AND SEEING HOW YOU ALL WORK TOGETHER. IT IS JUST ABSOLUTELY AN HONOR TO BE ABLE TO TAKE PART IN, THE GOVERNMENT TO GIVE A SPECIAL APPRECIATION TO BOB MAYERSOHN AND KEN CUTLER FOR THEIR TIME ON THIS COMMISSION. THEY SERVED AS PHENOMENAL ROLE MODELS AND I HAVE TO SAY THAT SEEING THE WAY THEY HANDLE THEMSELVES AND BOTH IN THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS ATTENDING THE MEETINGS AS WELL AS NOW THEY ARE CLOSING OUT THEIR TENURE ON THE

[00:15:04]

COMMISSION IS COMMENDABLE AND I THANK THEM BOTH FOR THAT.

THE ONGOING COMMISSIONERS MAYOR WALKER VICE MAYOR ISROW AND COMMISSIONER BRIER, IT HAS BEEN, IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE REASON I'M SITTING IN THIS CHAIR IS PRIMARILY BECAUSE I SEE HOW THE FIVE OF YOU WERE GETTING THINGS DONE AND WORKING IN A POSITIVE MANNER AND IT MADE IT A PLACE THAT I REALLY FELT I WANTED TO TAKE PART IN. SO I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT. ALL MY CAMPAIGN SUPPORTERS THAT HELP ME IN THE TRUNCATED BUT IMPORTANT CAMPAIGN THAT I HAD.

I WANT TO THANK THEM ALL FOR ALL RELATED.

IT WAS SO MEANINGFUL TO ME. ALL OF MY FRIENDS, MY FAMILY THAT SUPPORTED ME IN THIS, I COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU. MANY OF YOU WERE HERE TONIGHT AND THAT MEANT THE WORLD TO ME. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING PART OF THIS JOURNEY AND IT IS JUST BEGINNING.

AND OF COURSE, MY WIFE ANDREA, SHE IS ABSOLUTELY THE SHINING STAR IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. MARRYING HER WAS THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE, NO QUESTION.

BUT ALL THE OTHER GOOD DECISIONS ARE MADE INCLUDING MAKING THIS DECISION TO DO THIS WAS ENTIRELY DRIVEN BY HER TELLING ME, YEAH, YOU CAN DO THIS. THIS IS -- SHE IS EVERYTHING TO ME. SO THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. AND ARE READY TO GET TO WORK.

>> THANK YOU PRETTY MUCH.

AND I WOULD BE REMISS TO ONE MORE TIME GET A CHANCE TO SAY THANK YOU TO COMMISSIONER CUTLER AND COMMISSIONER MAYERSOHN.

YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN GREAT STEWARDS OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND AND IT WAS MY HONOR TO SERVE WITH THE TWO OF YOU FOR THE PAST SIX YEARSS. SO THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE TO BE OVER THAT TIME. I REALLY DO APPRECIATE IT.

AND NOW WE KNOW LONGER OUR COLLEAGUES AND NOW WE CAN JUST

[6. Proclamations and Recognitions]

BE FRIENDS. SO GOOD STUFF.

ALREADY. SO WE ARE GOING TO START WITH THE PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS.

SO WE WILL GET OUT INTO THE W WELL FOR JUDGE OUR REPORTER.

>> THANKS FOR HAVING ME. >> YES.

>> BROWARD CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE OUR REPORTER RECENTLY RECEIVED THE 2024 CHIEF JUSTICE A WORD FOR JUDICIAL EXCELLENCE FROM THE FLORIDA SUPREME COURT. IT IS NO SURPRISE THAT JUDGE PORTES RECEIVED HIS REWARD.

BUT WE ARE ESPECIALLY PROUD THAT HE CALLS PARKLAND HOME.

JUDGE PORT HAS SERVED ON THE 17TH CIRCUIT COURTS SINCE HIS APPOINTMENT IN 2013, WHERE HE PRESIDES OVER THE CIRCUIT'S ONLY MENTAL HEALTH COURT. HIS DEDICATION TO IMPROVING THE COURT SYSTEM IS EVIDENT THROUGH HIS LEADERSHIP AS CHAIR OF THE 17TH CIRCUIT'S MENTAL HEALTH TASK FORCE AND HIS ROLE AS AN EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER OF THE FLORIDA CONFERENCE OF CIRCUIT COURT JUDGES. JUDGE PORZI IS ALSO A MEMBER OF THE FLORIDA JUDICIAL WELLNESS PROGRAM COMMITTEE AND THE JUSTICE UNIT. THE CHIEF JUSTICE AWARDS FOR JUDICIAL EXCELLENCE AND REALLY RECOGNIZES ONE COUNTY COURT JUDGE AND ONE CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE WHO DEMONSTRATE EXCEPTIONAL COMMITMENT TO THE JUDICIAL BRANCH AND WHO PERSONIFY JUDICIAL EXCELLENCE, IMPARTING QUALITIES SUCH AS STRENGTH AND CHARACTER, INTEGRITY, FAIRNESS, OPEN-MINDEDNESS, KNOWLEDGE OF THE LAW, SOUND JUDGMENT, PROFESSIONAL ETHICS, INTELLECTUAL COURAGE, COMPASSION, AND DECISIVENESS. ACCORDING TO CHIEF JUSTICE CARL MUNIZ, JUDGE PORT EXEMPLIFIES THE QUALITIES OF INTEGRITY, FAIRNESS, AND COMPASSION THAT JUDGE -- THIS AWARD SEEKS TO HONOR. IT IS A PLEASURE AND A JOY TO RECOGNIZE ONE OF OUR OWN FOR SUCH A PRESTIGIOUS AWARD.

ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND, CITY COMMISSION, CONGRATULATIONS.

>> THANK YOU. >> THANK YOU SO MUCH.

THANK YOU. THANKS FOR HAVING ME.

>> CAN I SAY ONE THING? >> YOU CAN SAY.

>> SO I LOVE HAVING COMPANY IN THE COURTROOM.

I ACTUALLY HAVE FIVE CHAIRS ON THE BENCH.

USUALLY THEY ARE FILLED WITH STUDENTS.

[00:20:01]

BUT I LOVE HAVING POLICYMAKERS. SO ALL OF YOU HAVE AN OPEN INVITATION. I'M IN COURTROOM 7810 AND THE COURT HOUSE PLEASE COME VISIT. YOU HAVE AN OPEN INVITATION.

>> THANK YOU.

[7. Approval of the Agenda]

>> MOTION TO APPROVE. >> TO MOW -- APPROVAL OF THE

AGENDA. >> GOOD WORK.

>> MOTION TO APPROVE. >> TO I HAVE A SECOND?

>> SECOND. >> YEAH.

WE HAVE A MOTION BY COMMISSIONER KANTERMAN AND A SECOND BY

[8. Presentation]

COMMISSIONER MURPHY SALOMONE HE. PLEASE SHOW IT PASSES UNANIMOUSLY. WE HAVE A PRESENTATION.

>> SCOTTEN AND WE WILL BE PRESENTING THE RESULTS OF OUR STRATEGIC PLAN AND THAT IS FOR FY, WHICH IS FISCAL YEAR 2024.

THAT PHYSICAL YEAR BEGAN OCTOBE. AND AS NINE, 30 OF 2024.

STRATEGIC PLAN CONTAINS A VISION, MISSION AND STRATEGY'S GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO SEE IS KIND OF LIKE A DIAGRAM OF A PLAN AND WHAT IS A STRATEGIC PLAN? IT IS A ROADMAP THAT GUIDES THE CITY AND NAVIGATING -- IN NAVIGATING THE FUTURE, FOCUSING ON KEY PRIORITIES, RESOURCE ALLOCATION, AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES.

HERE WE GO. NOW, IN OUR STRATEGIC PLAN, THE COMMISSION DEFINES OUR STRATEGIES TO OUR STRATEGIES ARE QUALITY OF LIFE, COMMUNITY, ENGAGEMENT, INTERGOVERNMENTAL ENGAGEMENT, EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT GOVERNMENT AND POLICY LEADERSHIP. NOW, UNDER OUR STRATEGIES, WE DEVELOPED AND THIS IS ALL DONE THROUGH STRATEGIC PLANNING.

WE DEVELOP THE LIST OF GOALS. SO THE GOALS UNDER QUALITY OF LIFE BAR TO IMPROVE AND ENHANCE THE CITY'S INFRASTRUCTURE TO MAINTAIN A SAFE COMMUNITY, CONTINUED TO BE THE PREEMINENT CITY FOR PARKS AND RECREATION, STRENGTHEN THE CITY'S COMMUNITY CHARACTER, AND FOSTER HIGH-QUALITY DEVELOPMENT.

STRATEGY OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT.

OUR GOAL IS TO UTILIZE THE COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND EXPERTISE TO FURTHER THE STRATEGIC PLAN, INTERGOVERNMENTAL ENGAGEMENT. OUR GOAL IS TO ACTIVELY COLLABORATE WITH OTHER PUBLIC ENTITIES ON TOPICS OF COMMON INTERESTS. THEN WE HAVE EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT GOVERNMENT IS A GOAL TO CONTINUE TO BE FINANCIALLY SOUND, CITY GOVERNMENT. AND THAT WE HAVE POLICY LEADERSHIP, WHICH IS TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND DIRECTION TO FULFILL THE STRATEGIES. SO UNDER ALL OF OUR GOALS, WE HAVE WHAT WE CALL ACTION ITEMS. SO I'M GOING TO HAVE STAFF PRESENT WHERE WE ARE ON OUR ACTION ITEMS FOR THIS STRATEGIC

PLAN. >> GOOD EVENING.

FOR THE RECORD, JAKOBI MEYERS, A SENIOR DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY AND INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS. SO WE'RE GOING TO GO STEP-BY-STEP THROUGH OUR ACTION ITEMS. BUT FIRST, JUST WANT TO REMIND YOU THAT THE AGENDA PACKET DOES HAVE THE FOURTH QUARTER REPORT IF YOU ALL HAVE TAKEN A LOOK AT THAT. AND FOR A FEW OF YOU WHO ARE NEW TO THIS REPORT IS GOING TO LOOK A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT.

PLAN WE ARE GOING TO JUST SIMPLY REVIEW INDIVIDUAL ACTION ITEMS OVERALL AND NOT GET INTO SPECIFIC DETAIL.

SO HOW DID WE DO? IN THE FISCAL YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN, WE ENDED WITH A 98% PROGRESS.

SO WHAT THAT MEANS IT IS UNDER EACH ONE OF OUR PROJECTS, WHICH WE CALL ACTION ITEMS, THERE ARE CERTAIN TASKS THAT WE IN THIS MAN TO DO EVERY SINGLE FISCAL YEAR.

SO 98% OF THOSE INDIVIDUAL TASKS WERE COMPLETED FOR THE YEAR.

MANY 5% OF THE ACTION PLANS OR THE PROJECTS ARE COMPLETED.

SO THIS PAST YEAR WE WERE WORKING ON 20 INDIVIDUAL ACTION ITEMS. AND 19 OF THOSE WERE COMPLETED.

SO YOU'LL FIND OUT A LITTLE BIT INFORMATION AS WE GO THROUGH ON THAT ONE ITEM THAT WE DID NOT COMPLETE.

IF YOU TAKE A LOOK IN YOUR REPORT CAR YOU'LL SEE THAT THERE ARE A CHECKLIST OF ALL THOSE INDIVIDUAL TASKS THAT WE

[00:25:04]

ANTICIPATE TO GET DONE DURING THAT YEAR.

AND A MULTIYEAR ACTION ITEM, WHICH IS ONE OF THOSE PRODUCTS THAT TAKES MULTIPLE YEARS, YOU ARE ONLY GOING TO SEE THE INDIVIDUAL TASKS FOR THAT SPECIFIC FISCAL YEAR.

THOSE ARE THE ONES THAT WE ANTICIPATE GETTING DONE DURING FISCAL YEAR 24. IF YOU LOOK AT THAT RIGHT HAND SIDE, THAT WILL SHOW YOU THE PERCENT OF THAT MULTIYEAR PROJECT THAT WAS COMPLETED IN PREVIOUS FISCAL YEARS.

THE% THAT IS ANTICIPATED DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR END AND THE PERCENT OF THAT PROJECT THAT STILL IS TO BE COMPLETED IN FUTURE FISCAL YEARS. TO STEP US THROUGH THESE INDIVIDUAL ACTION ITEMS, I'M GOING TO START WITH OUR ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER TO SWANEE JOHNSON.

>> THANK YOU, CZECHIA. SO THE FIRST PROJECT THAT WE COMPLETED WAS THE TORRANCE DAVIS FOREMAN INVASIVE REMOVAL PROJECT. THIS PROJECT IS A PART OF THE CITY COMMISSION'S DIRECTIVE TO IMPROVE THE ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT OF THE CITY BY REMOVING EXOTIC, INVASIVE SPECIES. THOSE SPECIES POSE A THREAT TO OUR NATIVE HABITAT AND ALSO POSE A NEWS -- NUISANCE TO THE ENVIRONMENT. TO FURTHER THE ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVE, THE CITY ALSO HAS AN ANNUAL INCENTIVE PROGRAM THAT WE DO WITH THE RESIDENTS THAT THEY CAN ACTUALLY APPLY FOR FUNDING TO HELP MOVE THE EXOTIC SPECIES.

THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT WAS COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY IN THE

FIRST QUARTER OF 2024. >> IT IS DOWN.

>> SO STREETLIGHTS ON THE BOULEVARD.

SO AT OUR STRATEGIC PLANNING, THE CITY COMMISSION WENT AHEAD AND GIVE US DIRECTION TO GO WITH DECORATIVE TREE PLANTING FOR OUR STREETLIGHTS AS YOU KNOW RIGHT NOW WE HAVE THE CONCRETE POLE AND OVER I LIKE LIKE THE COUPLE HAD PICTURES.

WE'RE GOING TO A REMATCH DECORATIVE POLE AND I'M PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT ONE OF OUR PROJECTS ACTUALLY STARTED.

SO I WILL TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT IT IN THE UPCOMING SLIDES.

SO THE COMMISSION APPROVED THE STREETLIGHT AS THE PREFERRED ROADWAY LIGHTING. THIS IS AN INITIATIVE WITH A COUNTY BECAUSE IT IS OWNED BY BROWARD COUNTY.

WE ACTUALLY AT THE ALPHABET 16TH MEETING AND APPROVED THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT, WHICH GIVES APPROVAL TO INSTALL THE STREETLIGHTS ON THE COUNTY RIGHT AWAY.

THE PROJECT IS GOING TO PLAN REVIEW AND ULTIMATELY WE HAVE MOVED TO THE PERMITTING AND THEY WILL PERFORM THE INSTALLATION OF DISCIPLES. SO WITH THAT, THE COMMISSION ALSO WANTED US TO WORK ON ADDING TO THE AESTHETICS OF WEST HILLS BOULEVARD BY ENHANCING AND INSTALLING LANDSCAPING.

SO WE ARE YOU SEE OUR HOME TWO-YEAR-OLD UP WITH THE LARGE CANOPY, X-RAY TREES. WE'RE GOING TO DO SOMETHING SIMILAR ON HIS PURPLE HEART. END THE SOLID SIDE TO.

LUPEIKA WE GOING TO INSTALL LARGE OAKS IN THIS WELL.

AND THEN ULTIMATELY, THE CITY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MAINTENANCE, AGAIN THEY ARE IS TO INSTALL THESE THREES.

WE WILL HAVE TO DO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT.

THAT FOUR IS ALSO A PLAN IN THE COUNTY.

SO EVERGLADES WAY HILLSBORO, OREGON THIS PROJECT WAS ONE OF OUR FIRST NEW ROUNDABOUT PROJECT AS YOU KNOW WE INSTALLED A ROUNDABOUT IN FRONT OF PGA WGC THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT IS TO ENHANCE ROUNDABOUTS WITH MARKET -- ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES FOR AND WE HAVE MANY PROJECTS THAT COME INTO OUR FUTURE.

THIS PROJECT WAS FUNDED BY THE CITY COMMISSION AND THE LONG-TERM MAINTENANCE WILL BE TAKEN FEAR OF BY THE FOSSIL PART IN COMMUNITY. FOR THAT PROJECT WAS COMPLETED IN 2020 IN 20 SUNIA TURUVA AND HERE'S A LITTLE VISUAL AERIAL IMAGE OF THE READ ABOUT AS IT SITS TODAY.

HILLSBORO BOULEVARD READ ABOUT AT ME MECCA BOULEVARD.

SO THIS IS PART OF A LARGER WHICH IS THE PROJECT FOR HILLSBORO BOULEVARD. THAT PARTICULAR PROJECT WILL INCLUDE THE INSTALLATION OF MIGRAINES.

WE WILL HAVE NO SIDEWALKS. WE WILL HAVE LIGHTING AS WELL IN THIS STRETCH OF THE ROADWAY. IN ADDITION, HE KNEW READ ABOUT AT MECCA BOULEVARD AND HILLSBORO BOULEVARD.

THE PARTICULAR ROUNDABOUT, THE COUNTY, THEY ARE NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF ENHANCING OUR ROUNDABOUTS.

WE WANT WE WANT TO BREXIT WE ARE GOING TO GO HIT INTO A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE COUNTY TO GO AHEAD AND DO THE ACTUAL AMOUNT BUT IMPRO DONE THROUGH AT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WHICH THE CITY WILL PROVIDE A CAPITAL FUNDING FOR THIS PROJECT AND ACCOUNT WILL GO AHEAD AND IS PERFECT IS FURTHER SO BOTH

[00:30:03]

PROJECTS AT THE SAME TIME. AND RHINO RHINO, THEY ARE IN THE PROCUREMENT PHASE AND WE ANTICIPATE CONSTRUCTION HAPPY.

2020 -- >> LUIS TAPIA FOR A SECOND FOR A SECOND. IS THE LEADING EDGES ON HIS

WELL-BEING REPLACE? >> SO WHEN YOU SAY RIGHT NOW,

RIGHT NOW, THERE ARE NO LIGHTS. >> ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO DESIGNATED WHAT THE YES, THEY ARE IN THE SAME DECORATIVE LIGHTING THAT WE ARE INSTALLING.

LOXAHATCHEE ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.

EVERYBODY'S FUN PROJECT. SO THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT IS THE PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY OF PARKLAND.

THAT THE OTY, THE COUNTY, AND THE BEAR AND PIO IMPROVEMENT OF THE 6-MILE QUARTER OF LOXAHATCHEE ROAD PAPER WITH THE PROJECT INCLUDES MEDIANS, MIGRAINES, SIDEWALKS.

WE'RE ALSO GOING TO UPGRADE THE EXISTING LIGHTING UNLOCKS ROAD.

AND GEORGIA STATE 17 BY ADDING A NEW DEDICATED LANE TO TAKE US UP INTO POKER. THIS PROJECT IS IN THE FIRST PHASE. WE ACTUALLY HAVE A MEETING WITH THE D.O.T. TOMORROW MORNING AND WE WERE INFORMED THAT THIS PROJECT WILL BE COMPLETED BY DECEMBER 6.

>> OKAY. >> AND AGAIN, THAT IS JUST TO LET ME MAKE IT CLEAR. FINISHES THE FIRST PHASE OF THE FOUR. THE OVERALL PROJECT WILL BE COMPLETED IN EARLY 2027. AND THAT LEADS US INTO THE ROUNDABOUT IMPROVEMENTS. SO THERE ARE THREE NEW ROUNDABOUTS THAT HAVE BEEN ADDED AS PART OF THIS PROJECT AT NOBHILL, AT PARKSIDE AND UNIVERSITY DRIVE AND SIMILAR TO HILLSBORO, THE CITY WANTS TO ENHANCE THOSE WHEREABOUTS SO YOU'RE ACTUALLY WE CAN'T CONTINUE THAT UNTIL IT IS COMPLETED. THAT PROJECT ONCE WE COMPLETE OUR DESIGN WILL -- WE WILL SHELVE IT UNTIL 2027, WHEN THE D.O.T. IS FINISHED WITH THEIR PROJECT.

THE BRANCHES DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM THIS WAS FUNDED WITH AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT DOLLARS AND WILL INCLUDE CREATING MATERIALS FROM THE EXISTING DITCHES IN THE BRANCHES WHERE YOU RESHAPE IN THE DISH BANKS, REPLACE AN INTERESTING BACKOVERS. THE RULE OF GRAY EXISTING PUMP STATION TO ADD A SECOND PITCH FOR NOT ONLY IN GOING BUT I'M GOING DRAINAGE FOR PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS IS INTENDED TO MITIGATE ROADWAY VERY IN THE COMMUNITY AND AGENT FOR DANGER SO FAR OBSERVATIONS. THE PROJECT IS IN NEGOTIATIONS AND LAND DEVELOPMENT AND IS. THE ROB BRANTLY OF SERVICING PROJECT IS IN CONTROL IN WITH THE DRAINAGE PROJECT.

THIS PROJECT WANTS THE DRAINAGE PORTION IS FROM OUR INTENTION IS ALSO IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS TO RE-PITCH THE ROADWAY TO THE PITCH FOR IMPROVED VENGEFUL AND THE REFERENCES THIS WILL INCLUDE THE DRAINAGE DISHES. REPLACING EXISTING PIPE COVER AND WE WILL UPGRADE TO THE PINE TREE WATER CONTROL DISTRICT MAIN CANAL. THE IMPROVEMENTS IS INTENDED TO MITIGATE FLOODING IN ADDITION TO IMPROVING DRAINAGE FLOW AND THE LOCATION. THE PROJECT IS CURRENTLY IN CONSTRUCTION AND IS ANTICIPATED TO BE COMPLETED THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2025. AND THIS IS THE LIMITS OF THE PROJECT. AND HERE IS A FEW SHOTS OF THE BEFORE AND AFTER OF THE PROJECT. THIS PROJECT IS MOVING PRETTY WELL. THE ORIGINAL INTENDED COMPLETION DATE WAS MARCH APRIL OF 2025. BUT THIS CONTRACTOR IS GOING TO MEET THAT SCHEDULE BY QUITE A BIT.

SO WE ARE EXCITED FOR THAT. AND THEN JACKIE ALLUDED TO EARLIER THAT WE HAVE 5% OF OUR PROJECT THAT WE DID NOT COMPLETE, WHICH WAS THE PINE TREE, THE STATE ROADWAY DESIGN.

BUT THIS WAS FOR GOOD REASONS. THE CITY COMMISSION PREVIOUSLY APPROVED FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF THE ROADWAYS AND PINE TREE STATE. HOWEVER, THE DESIGN COSTS PROVED COSTLY. AND TO ENSURE THE PROJECT REMAIN FEASIBLE BEFORE OUR RESIDENTS, STAFF BROUGHT THE ATTORNEY OF CONTRITION PROCESS. THAT PARTICULAR PROCESS WILL UTILIZE THE EXISTING ROADWAY THAT WE HAVE BEEN PINE TREE.

AND WE HAVE A LARGE EQUIPMENT THAT WILL GO AHEAD AND PULVERIZE

[00:35:01]

THE EXISTING MATERIALS AND ADD NEW ADDITIVES AND NEW ASPHALT MIX TO CREATE A NEW STABILIZED BASE AND THEN ONCE WANTS THAT PACHAL -- PROCESS IS COMPLETE, WE WILL GO AHEAD AND MAKE NEW ASPHALT FOR A NEW ROADWAY. NO, THE BEAUTY ABOUT THIS PROCESS IS IT SAVES ON TIME. IT IS A MUCH SHORTER PROCESS.

THE ORIGINAL PROCESS FOR RECONSTRUCTION WAS A 24 MONTH LONG PROCESS. THIS PARTICULAR PROCESS WILL BE ABOUT SIX TO EIGHT MONTHS TO COMPLETE.

ALSO, IN TERMS OF COST, NOW, WE HAVE NOT DONE THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT. BUT JUST LOKING AT EXISTING PROJECTS AND WHAT WE RECEIVED, WE COULD POTENTIALLY HAVE 40 TO 50% OF WHAT IT WILL COST FOR FULL RECONSTRUCTION OF THE WORKPLACE. AND THIS IS A PROJECT THAT WE VISITED UP IN WEST PALM BEACH. THE BEAUTY ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR PROCESS, YOU ARE ACTUALLY ABLE TO DRIVE ON THIS SERVICE AS STATE PUT THE NEW MATERIAL DOWN. SO THIS WILL BE -- THIS WILL WORK WELL FOR THE RESIDENTS IN TERMS OF BEING ABLE TO USE THEIR DRIVEWAYS DURING CONSTRUCTION AND NOT IMPACT THE RESIDENTIAL DURING CONSTRUCTION. SO CURRENTLY STAFF IS WORKING ON THE SOLICITATION FOR ADVERTISING THIS PROJECT TO THE CONSTRUCTION COMMUNITY, AND WE ANTICIPATE BRINGING THAT SOLICITATION TO THE CITY COMMISSION THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2025.

AND JUST TO KIND OF SHOW YOU GUYS THAT THIS PROJECT ACTUALLY HAS BEEN VETTED BY THE D.O.T., THERE IS A TEST PROJECT THAT THE D.O.T. IS DOING UP IN STATE ROUTE 37.

AND THEY HAVE ACTUALLY PUT OU WHAT IS CALLED DRAFT SPECS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION COMMITTEE TO UTILIZE FOR UTILIZING THIS PROCESS. AND THEN WE ALSO DID SOME RESEARCH LOCALLY AND A FEW CITIES LOCALLY ABOUT.

SO USE THIS PROCESS AS WELL, TOO, TO GET A THIRD.

SO WE FEEL REALLY GOOD ABOUT THIS PROCESS AND HOPEFULLY WE HAVE A SUCCESSFUL PARKER -- PROJECT.

I WILL NOW TURN THIS OVER TO -- >> DON'T NEED ANY COMMENTS.

I JUST WANT -- IT CANNOT BE UNDERSTATED ENOUGH HOW HARD OUR STAFF WORKS IN THIS PROJECT IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE.

A LOT OF COMPANIES OR CDS OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT WOULD HAVE JUST TAKEN THE PLAN AND JUST RUN WITH THE PLAN.

BUT YOU GUYS UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT, SO TO SPEAK.

AND CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR WAYS TO SAVE OUR RESIDENTS MONEY.

AND IT IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED BECAUSE WE MADE A DIFFICULT DECISION IN GOING THROUGH WITH WANTING TO MAKE SURE THIS PROJECT WENT AHEAD FOR OUR RESIDENTS BECAUSE YOU KNOW, IT WAS SOMETHING THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE.

WE TOOK IT ON. AND NOW WE GET TO EVEN LOOK -- WE GET TO LOOK BETTER BECAUSE OF ALL THE HARD WORK THAT YOU GUYS DID BECAUSE NOT ONLY ARE YOU GOING TO SAVE A LOT OF MONEY FOR OUR RESIDENTS BUT ALSO YOU ARE GOING TO SAVE A LOT OF TIME AND AGGRAVATION. SO WE ALL THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALWAYS DOING THE RIGHT THING.

BUT THIS IS A HUGE PROJECT WITH THE UNIQUE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF SAVINGS, YOU KNOW, FROM THE DOLLARS YOU ARE SAVING AND AT TIMES. SO WE CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH

FOR THAT. >> AND I WOULD BE REMISS IF I DO NOT SHOUT OUT RICHARD MORIARTY, ERIC JUNIOR ENGINEER WHO ACTUALLY PROCESS -- BROUGHT THIS PROCESS TO THE FOREFRONT.

CHRISTINE GARCIA TO SENIOR DIRECTOR OF PROJECTS.

THESE NEXT SET OF ACTION ITEMS WILL GO AHEAD AND FOLLOW THE COMMISSION'S SCHOOL OF CONTINUING TO BE A CITY FOR PUNT AND RECREATION. SO WHAT IS PRESERVE PARK HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL PROCESS TO BE A PART OF.

AFTER COMPLETING HER FINAL CONCEPT DESIGN THAT YOU GUYS HAD APPROVED THAT WE WENT AHEAD WITH THIS PAST YEAR AND STARTED GOING THROUGH THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. WE ENDED IN SEPTEMBER OF THIS PAST YEAR. AND COMPLETING THE 90% PLANS AND BE GETTING THE PERMITTING PROCESS FOR THIS PARK.

JUST TO BRING EVERYBODY UP TO SPEED, THIS IS THE 90% PLANS OVERALL SITE PLAN. THERE ARE TWO ENTRANCES AND EXITS TO THIS PARK. WOULDN'T THINK OF HILLSBORO BOULEVARD TO THE SOUTH AND THEN ALSO ON NOBHILL, WHICH IS TO THE WEST THERE OF THE PARK PROPERTY. AS YOU COME IN THE MAIN ENTRANCE OFF OF HILLSBORO, YOU WILL GO FOR HIM TO THE PONDS.

AND THEN COME ACROSS THE TOP AREA THERE, WHERE WE HAVE OUR PLAYGROUND AND OUR MANY VILLAGE. SOUTH OF THE PLAYGROUND AND MANY VILLAGE WILL SET A COMMUNITY CENTER.

AT AS WELL AS A SPLASH PAD JUST TO THE SOUTH OF THAT.

WE HAVE GOT OBSERVATION DECKS AND BOARDWALKS OUT ON THE POND AREA. NINJA WARRIOR COURSE WITH A UNIQUE FEATURE AND A LITTLE SPIRAL WITH EIGHT-HOUR.

AS WELL AS A PAINT SHOP. THERE ARE EIGHT PICKLEBALL

[00:40:03]

COURTS FOR THIS PARK AS WELL AS FOUR BASKETBALL COURTS.

A FULL-SIZE MULTIPURPOSE FIELD AND PER YOU ALL'S REQUEST, WE PUT IN THAT EXTRA SMALLER MULTIPURPOSE FIELD TO HAVE A LITTLE EXTRA PLAYING AREA. AND THEN, TWO, -- TWO DULCICH BASEBALL SOFTBALL FIELDS ALONG WITH A PARKS COMPOUND STORAGE.

ADDITIONAL ACTION ITEMS OVER AT TERMARR PARK.

WE WERE ABLE TO START OUR FENCE AND TO GET REPLACEMENT AND AS OF TODAY, WE HAVE FINISHED IT. AND SO THOSE FIELDS ARE BACKED OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND IN USE. AND ONE OF THE CITY'S COMMISSION SCHOOL AND IDEA WAS TO ENHANCE AND UPGRADE THE LEVELS IN OUR PARKS. AND SUPPORTER OF THAT WAS IT IS A REMODEL OF OUR BATHROOMS. SO WE STARTED OVER AT TERRA MAR PARK. AND THIS PAST YEAR, WE SUCCESSFULLY RENOVATED BOTH THOSE BATHROOMS OVER AT TYMARDRE PARK TO BRING THEM ALL UP TO ISCHEMIC AS WELL AS TO PROVIDE NEW AC INSIDE OF THE RESTROOMS. BECAUSE OF THAT, THIS YEAR, WE ARE TASKED WITH LIBERTY PARK AND MOVE IN THAT RESTROOM REMODEL ALSO NOW OVER TO LIBERTY PARK. SO WE ARE IN THE DESIGN PLANS.

JUST FINISH GOING OUT TO BID. WE WILL BE UNDER CONSTRUCTION HERE SHORTLY IN BRINGING THOSE RESTROOMS OF LIBERTY PARK UP TO SPEED. THIS PAST YEAR, WE WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE THEIR FREQUENT RENOVATION AS WELL AS GET NEW PICKET FENCES AND SO FORTH OVER AT THE PARK.

PINE TRAILS PARK. WE WERE ABLE TO RESURFACE OUR BASKETBALL COURTS IN ADDITION TO RESEARCHING COURTS THREE AND FOUR, WE WERE ALSO DOING THE RESODDING AROUND THE BASKETBALL COURT AREA THAT HAD SOME WEAR-AND-TEAR.

SO WE DID WE START AND BOTH PINE TRAILS.

THE RESODDING AROUND BOTH OF THOSE BASKETBALL COURT AREAS.

AND THEN OVER AT PINE TRAILS RESODDING OF THE AMPHITHEATER MADE ON. BECAUSE OF AN EVENT SCHEDULED FOR THIS PROJECT WAS NOT ABLE TO BE ABLE TO GET STARTED UNTIL ABOUT AUGUST. SO AS OF SEPTEMBER, WE WERE SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETED WITH THIS PROJECT.

BUT NOW MORE RECENTLY, IT HAS BEEN OPENED AND PACKED FOR PUBLIC USE. OR SPORTS LEAGUE RECOGNITION WAS SOMETHING THAT WE WERE ASKED TO TAKE A LOOK AT AN -- IN REGARDS TO EXPANDING IT TO MAKE IT TO MAKE SURE THAT KNOW ME -- OUR BOARD PRESIDENTS WERE RECOGNIZED BUT AVATAR BOARDS FOR ALL OF OUR SPORTS PROGRAMS. SO WE WERE ABLE TO UPDATE AND ADMINISTRATIVE POLICIES SO THAT THE RECOGNITION FOR THE VOLUNTEER WORK THAT IS DONE WITH OUR SPORTS PROGRAMS GETS RECOGNIZED ANNUALLY. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, WE WENT BACK PARKLAND DAY FOR OUR SAFETY IS.

BECAUSE OF THE SUCCESS THAT THAT WAS TWO YEARS AGO, IT WAS, YOU KNOW, YOUR DIRECTION FOR US TO CONTINUE THIS EVENT IN OUR ANNUAL LIST OF EVENTS. SO WE DID SO THIS PAST YEAR.

AND WE HAD FOUR SPONSORS, 115 VOLUNTEERS WERE APPRECIATED AT THE VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION LUNCH.

27 BUSINESS EXPO BOOTHS. EIGHT FOOD COURT ENTERS AN APPROXIMATELY 1200 ATTENDEES. AND I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU A SHORT LITTLE VIDEO OF THIS PAST YEAR'S EVENT.

>> HAPPY PARKLAND DAY! >> YOU KNOW, ALL THESE PARADES, ALL THESE EVENTS FOR THE CITY OF PARKLAND IS FANTASTIC FOR THE COMMITTEE. THAT IS THE BEST PART.

>> PARKLAND DAY IS A DAY WE LOOK FORWARD TO EVERY DAY.

BRING IN THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER WITH GREAT MUSIC, FOOD, AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR ALL AGES. THERE'S NOTHING THAT NEEDS

PARKLAND. >> THE BEST PART WAS COMMITTEE COME TOGETHER AND SO MANY FOLKS. SO MANY REASONS TO LIVE IN PARKLAND THAT WE HAVE THE BEAUTIFUL CITY, THE PARKS.

THE PEOPLE GETTING TOGETHER, THE COMMUNITY.

I LOVE IT. IT IS FUN TO COLLECT THE COMMODITY. EVERYBODY IS WAIVING.

EVERYBODY IS HAVING FUN, EXPECT THE BEST PART ABOUT PARKLAND DAY, IT IS GREAT TO SEE EVERYONE GET TOGETHER AND REALLY ENJOYING ONE ANOTHER. THIS IS AN ASSOCIATES.

ELECTED OFFICIALS, STAFF HERE IN THE CITY.

IT IS TRULY GREAT TO SEE EVERYBODY TOGETHER.

BUT I LEFT THE SCHOOL, THE HIGH SCHOOL, THE BAND WAS AWESOME.

ROTC WAS GREAT. PARKLAND DAY IS THE BEST PLACE TO BE.

>> HAPPY PARKLAND DAY 2024. >> WHAT THEIR.

[00:45:03]

SO THESE ARE A LIST OF MANY ACCOMPANIMENTS THAT WE DID ACHIEVE THIS YEAR. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF EVERYTHING THAT WE HAVE DONE AND IT IS NEEDED TO LOOK BACK AND SEE IT AT AN, A WHILE. SO THANK YOU, STAFF.

THEY COULD GET ONE FOR ALL YOU DO.

WE REALLY DO APPRECIATE IT. WELL DONE.

[10. Regular Agenda]

COUNTY APPOINTMENTS. >> ALL RIGHT, SO WITH THESE THREE, WITH PENSION BOARD, WE HAVE THE PINE TREE WATER DISTRICT AND PINE TREE WATER DISTRICT AND THAT WE HAVE THE SOLID WASTE APPOINTMENT. THE PINE TREE OBVIOUSLY, THAT IS, I WOULD ASSUME THAT WILL -- RIGHT.

THAT WILL GO TO COMMISSIONER KANTERMAN.

SO THAT WE HAVE TWO LEFT. WAS THERE ANYBODY THAT WAS INTERESTED IN, YOU KNOW, WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME BOAT HERE.

>> AND FOR THE MOST'S. THESE ARE HELPFUL FOR COMMISSION APPOINTEES ON THESE PARTIES BECAUSE THEY COME BACK TO THE ADMISSION INTO THE RESIDENCE OF PARKLAND TO GIVE US INFORMATION ON WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THESE VERY IMPORTANT ORGANIZATIONS.

>> UP. AND NOW HAVE THE SELECTION OF VICE MAYOR. CURRENTLY, WE HAVE VICE MAYOR ISROW IS CURRENTLY THE VICE MAYOR.

>> I'M ONLY FOLLOWING THE LEAD FROM COMMISSIONERS, THEN MAYERSOHN, WHEN I GOT ON TO SUPPORT.

IT WAS VERY EVIDENT THAT WE WANTED SOMEONE IN THIS WORLD WHO HAD HAD SOME TIME AND EXPERIENCE SERVING ON THE COMMISSION AND I TAKE VICE MAYOR ISROW AND I, WE HAD IT A COUPLE YEARS FOR US TO SERVE IN THIS CAPACITY. SO I WOULD LIKE TO MOVE TO THREE-POINT VICE MAYOR ISROW. COMMISSIONER ISROW AS THE VICE MAYOR FOR ANOTHER TERM. SEEING THAT WE HAVE TWO NEW

COMMISSIONERS. >> DO WE HAVE A SECOND?

>> SECOND. >> OPEN TO ANYONE FROM THE

PUBLIC? >> DOES NOT HAVE TO CHANGE SHIRTS FOR ANOTHER YEAR, WHICH IS ALWAYS A PAIN IN THEY TOOK US. IT IS EASIER FOR MARCELLA.

BUT IT IS ALSO ONE THAT I THINK JUST LENDS ITSELF TO WHAT YOU JUST DID IS SOMETHING THAT CAN ONLY I WAS TO SHE JUMPED ME TO IT. SO THANK YOU.

BUT I WAS GOING TO DO THE SAME. AND I THINK BOTH OF US ARE PERFECTLY SUITED AND UNDERSTANDING THAT IT IS PROBABLY GOOD TO HAVE, IN A, SOME EXPERIENCE FIRST BEFORE JUMPING IN. SO I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY. I REALLY DO APPRECIATE IT.

AND I WILL SAY YES. >> WE ARE VERY WELL SERVE.

AND SELFISHLY, I HAVE ANOTHER PERSON ON THIS DAY IS TO POINT

TO WHEN WE HAVE A PAR. >> I MEAN, TO YOUR POINT EARLIER, COMMISSIONER BRIER GETS THIS JUST SHOWS, AGAIN, YOU KNOW, WE ARE STARTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOR.

'S NEW COMMISSION BECAUSE I KNOW, YOU KNOW, HAVING DONE THIS NOW FOR SIX YEARS AND FOUR YEARS WITH THE TWO OF YOU, YOU KNOW, YOU GET A LITTLE NERVOUS WHEN SOMEBODY COMES ON, YOU KNOW, DIFFERENT YOU KNOW, WE SPENT THE LAST, YOU KNOW, FOUR TO SIX YEARS WITH KEN AND BOB AND Y WE RESPECT AND WE, YOU KNOW, KNOW WILL DO A GREAT JOB. STILL, YOU KNOW, A LEARNING CURVE. BUT YOU KNOW, ONCE AGAIN, WE SHOW THAT THIS IS THE COMMISSION AND BROWARD COUNTY TO SERVE ON

[00:55:06]

IF YOU ARE SO LUCKY. >> MAYOR WALKER?

>> YES.

[11. Comments by the Broward Sheriff's Office]

>> IT IS A LONG-WINDED YES. >> ALL RIGHT.

COMMENTS BY THE BROWARD SHERIFF'S OFFICE WORKS.

>> GOOD EVENING CAPTAIN MCARDLE. I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT A SCAM THAT HAS BEEN GOING AROUND IF YOU FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK.

UTZINGER POSTING. BUT THIS IS ESSENTIALLY A SCAM WHERE THE INDIVIDUALS ARE SPOOFING THE PARKLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT PHONE NUMBER OR OTHER PHONE NUMBERS THAT ARE BELONG TO THE BROWARD SHERIFF'S OFFICE. AND THAT THEY CALL THE VICTIMS IN THESE CASES AND THEY IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS WERE COMMAND STAFF AND THEY CLAIM THAT OTHER PERSON HAS A WARRANT. AND THAT THE ONLY WAY THAT THEY COULD GET OUT OF THIS BOARD FOR THEIR ARREST IS TO PAY LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY TO THEM. AND EITHER SEND THEM TO -- IT TO THEM VIA BITCOIN OR VIA GIFT CARDS AND OTHER METHODS SIMILAR TO THOSE. SO WE ACTUALLY HAD SOMEONE WALK INTO OUR OFFICE TODAY AFTER GIVING THEM $10,000 TO FILE A POLICE REPORT AND WE HAVE HAD SOME OTHER SIMILAR INSTANCES WHERE PEOPLE HAVE GIVEN LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY.

SO WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE WORD OUT.

IT IS ON OUR FACEBOOK. YOU KNOW, I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT IT TODAY AND REMIND FOLKS TO NOT GIVE OUT AS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE OUT MONEY.

YOU KNOW? PLEASE BE SKEPTICAL ABOUT THOSE THINGS. SURELY YOU CAN CALL US AND VERIFY IF ANY OF THAT IS TRUE. BUT I WILL TELL YOU THAT IF YOU DO HAVE A WARRANT FOR YOUR ARREST, WE WILL NOT BE CALLING YOU. WE WOULD RATHER SEE YOU IN PERSON. SO THAT IS NOT THE WAY THAT WE

GET THAT DONE. >> THAT WAS GOING TO BE MY QUESTION. ARE THESE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY HAD SOMETHING LIKE A PRAYER, LIKE, I LIKE, I WILL MENTION DYLAN SCOTT TO BE SOME HISTORY FOR SOMEONE TO PULL UP $10,000.

OR IS IT JUST PEOPLE ARE GENERALLY DON'T KNOW AND THEY

JUST PAY THAT OUT OF CONCERN? >> ADDED FOLKS ARE CONCERNED.

YOU KNOW, THESE PHONE CALLS OFTEN SOUND PRETTY LEGITIMATE.

AND THEY USE THE NAMES OF PEOPLE WHO ARE ACTUALLY IN LAW ENFORCEMENT. SO IT ACTUALLY GOOGLED THE NAME, YOU WILL SEE THAT THEY WORK FOR EITHER THE BROWARD SHERIFF'S OFFICE IN SOME CAPACITY. SO FOLKS ARE KIND OF TRICKED INTO THINKING THAT IF THEY PAY THEN ALL THEIR TROUBLES WILL GO

AWAY. >> , I WOULD JUST ENCOURAGE OUR RESIDENTS, I MEAN, FIRST OF ALL, WE HAVE SUCH A RESPONSIVE TEAM IN BSO PARKLAND THAT IT IS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS IN TERMS OF HAVING ALL THE CAPACITY AT BSO BUT ALSO HAVING AN ATTENTIVE COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICE DEPARTMENT.

I TAKE THAT FOLKS CAN JUST CALL THE NONEMERGENCY HOTLINE IF THEY GET ONE OF THESE CALLS BEFORE DOING ANYTHING?

>> ABSOLUTELY. NOW, THE SCAMMERS ARE SMART BECAUSE WHEN THEY DO CALL, WITH THESE TYPES OF SCAMS, THEY WILL CREATE THE SENSE OF URGENCY WHERE YOU HAVE TO DO THIS AND DON'T CALL ANYBODY ELSE AND YOU HAVE TO SAY ON THE PHONE WITH ME WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING TO WALMART AND YOU HAVE TO STAY ON THE PHONE WITH ME WHILE YOU'RE AT THE BANK.

SO THAT SHE KIND OF TIP YOU OFF THAT THIS IS ALSO QUITE UNIQUE A SCAM. SO IT IS THAT SENSE OF URGENCY AND THE FACT THAT THE UNIQUE AND THEY DON'T GIVE YOU TIME TO VERIFY WHAT THEY ARE SAYING. SO -- BUT ABSOLUTELY YOU CAN CALL THE NONEMERGENCY NUMBER. YOU CAN TEXT TO 911.

THERE'S A LOT OF OPTIONS THAT YOU CAN DO.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, JUST KNOW THAT YOU THESE ARE SCAMS.

YEAH. >> THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

IS BACK ONE MORE ANNOUNCEMENT, AMERICA IF I MAY.

>> OF COURSE. >> THURSDAY, WE HAVE COFFEE WITH THE CHIEFS AT THEPOLICE AND FIRE STATION.

WE HOPE TO SEE ALL OF YOU THERE. IT IS GOING TO START AT EIGHT, 30 AND WE WILL HAVE REFRESHMENTS AND SOME TOURS OF OUR FACILITY.

>> EXCELLENT. >> AWESOME.

>> LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. >> THANK YOU.

>> IS THE CAPTAIN GOING TO BE THERE.

[12. Comments by the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department]

>> ABSOLUTELY PAR. >> COMMENTS BY THE CORAL SPRINGS/PARKLAND FIRE DEPARTMENT? SPECCODE EVENING. JUST AN INTRODUCTION TO OUR NEW COMMISSIONERS. MY NAME IS MARC MOSER.

I'M THE DEPUTY CHIEF ARCHIE RHIND AT THE.

DEPARTMENT AND I ACT AS YOUR LIAISON WITH THE CITY OF PARKLAND TO BE ABLE TO ENSURE THAT WE ARE MEETING ALL OF OUR NEEDS WHICH WILL BE VERY PROUD TO DO AND WE HOPE TO CONTINUE TO DO SO. H MEETING AT HIM AND GIVE YOU WORKS PRETTY INTERESTING STATISTICS ABOUT HOW MANY CALLS WE RAN A MONTH BEFORE AND I JOKED IS NOT VERY EXCITING.

WE HAVE 190 E.M.S. CALLS IN THE CITY OF PARKLAND LAST MONTH AND ONE PARTICLE WHICH IS LISTED AS A MISCELLANEOUS ARE KNOWN TO FIRE. SO IT WAS NOT ANYTHING MAJOR.

THANK YOU TO CAPTAIN MCARDLE FOR COORDINATING THE COFFEE WITH THE CHIEFS. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU GUYS THERE.

AND THE COMMISSIONER ORIENTATION THAT IS COMING UP NEXT MONTH, WE LOOK FORWARD TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT THE SERVICES THAT WE HAVE PROVIDED YOU WITH.

[01:00:03]

SO WELCOME. >> THANKS.

>> I HAVE ONE QUESTION FOR YOU. IF WE [INAUDIBLE] UPDATE ON THE CAD. NOW THAT BOB IS NOT HERE, YOU

ARE GOING TO BE THAT GUY. >> IN THE MINIVAN.

IT IS A WHOLE THING.

>> THE LATEST WAS THAT BY THE END OF THIS CALENDAR YEAR, THE CAD PATIENTS THAT WERE ABLE TO USE THE HUB THAT WE PURCHASED WOULD BE IN PLACE IN THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO BEGIN TESTING.

I WILL TRY TO GET A BETTER TIMELINE FOR YOU BEFORE THE NEXT MEETING. THE INVASION OF HUB THAT THE CITY OF CORAL SPRINGS PURCHASE WAS THE TOP-OF-THE-LINE HUB VERSION THAT WE CAN BUY. MOTOROLA'S CAD, ALTHOUGH, IS A VERY COMMON AND POPULAR CAD SYSTEM TO THE COUNTRY WAS NOT AT THE MOST UPDATED VERSION THAT WOULD WORK WITH THE VERSION OF HUB THAT WE PAR. IT IS NOT A GREAT EXCUSE.

BUT IT IS JUST BECAUSE WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE FULL FUNCTIONALITY OF THOSE TWO SYSTEMS COOPERATE TOGETHER.

WE BELIEVE THAT THEY MIGHT KIND OF WORK TOGETHER THE WAY THEY ARE NOW. BUT WE WANT TO ENSURE THAT THEY WORK MOST EFFICIENTLY. SO I WILL TRY TO GET A BETTER DATE FOR YOU NEXT TIME I SEE Y YOU.

>> AND I JUST WANT TO TAKE A BECAUSE ANUNOBY DISPENSE WITH NORMAL COMMENTS BECAUSE THIS IS -- SWEARING IN.

BUT WE HAD A BONFIRE AND HAYRIDE OUT THERE.

SO WE HAD MEMBERS OF THE CORAL SPRINGS/PARKLAND FIRE DEPARTMENT IN THERE AND MEMBERS OF BSO OR CITY STAFF THAT DID AN AMAZING JOB. IT WAS LIKE AN QUINTESSENTIAL OLD PARKLAND EVENT AND YOUR FOLKS PER YEAR ATTENTIVE WITH ALL THE KIDS, BURNING MARSHMALLOWS CO-MENTORSHIPS NOBODY GOT HURT OR ANYTHING AND SO I REALLY APPRECIATE IT ALL THE SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND BSO GAVE.

>> YOU HAD A GOOD CREW OUT THERE.

[13. Comments by the City Manager]

I THINK THEY PROBABLY ENJOY IT MORE THAN THE KIDS.

THANK-YOU. >> THANK YOU.

COMMENTS BY THE CITY MANAGER? >> I WOULD LIKE TO FROM THE CONGRATULATE COMMISSIONER KANTERMAN AND COMMISSIONER MURPHY SELEMANI ON YOUR NEW POINT AND I LOOK FORWARD TO SEVERAL YEARS OF WORKING CLOSELY TOGETHER AND ACCOMPLISHING MANY GREAT THINGS AND I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO WISH ALLISON A HAPPY

BIRTHDAY. >> HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALISON.

>> HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YES. >> 21 AGAIN.

>> SEVERAL YEARS. MANY YEARS.

[14. Comments by the City Attorney]

MAYBE.

COMMENTS BY -- >> AND I'M GOING TO DO POORLY -- DUPLICATE HIS AND CONGRATULATE BOTH COMMISSIONERS FOR DURING THE DAYS VERY MUCH LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU AND ACCOMPLISHING THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COMMISSION.

CONGRATULATIONS AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALLISON.

>> NOW, ANTHONY CARPINO HE WILL BE HERE A REAL LONG TIME.

HE WILL SEE MANY, MANY MORE COMMISSIONS.
