[00:10:03]

SOMETHING WE'RE WORKING ON FOR SEPTEMBER. PARKLAND'S HORSE MAN'S ASSOCIATION. UNFORTUNATELY THAT WAS CANCELED FOR THIS WEEKEND BUT WE'RE HAVING THE FAITH FEST ON THE 30TH. OCTOBER, KIDS STRONG FOR PARKLAND'S SPORTS ASSOCIATION AND TRUNK OR TREAT. NOVEMBER RUSH AND DECEMBER LIGHT UP THE NIGHT. CALVARY CHAPEL. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION AND HOLIDAY INTERNATIONAL FUNDRAISER. DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY QUESTION SAYS? OKAY. THANK YOU.

>> FELICIA TRAINER ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION.

I AM HERE TO GIVE YOU OUR ATHLETIC UPDATE. UNFORTUNATELY, NICK COULDN'T BE WITH US TODAY. THESE ARE OUR ATHLETIC PROGRAMS FROM MAY THROUGH SEPTEMBER.

AND MOST OF THEM AS WE EXPECTED HAVE AN INCREASE COMPARED TO WHAT THEY WERE LAST YEAR WHEN PEOPLE JUST WANT TO BE OUT ON THE FIELDS BECAUSE THEY LOOK GREAT.

AND THEN ANOTHER ATHLETIC UPDATE IS OUR TRAINER CONTRACTS. WE HAVE THREE PENDING.

11 EXECUTED. ON THE FENCING AND DUG OUTS WE'RE COMPLETED ON FIELDS 2 AND SIX. NEW BACK STOPS AT ALL BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FIELDS AT TARAMAR.

SO THEY LOOK FANTASTIC. WE HAVE NEW PYLONS AND YARD MARKERS, THEY WERE PURCHASED FOR THIS FOOTBALL SEASON AND OUR SEASON OPENING KICKING OFF STRONG.

BASEBALL ON SEPTEMBER 16TH AND SOFTBALL ON SEPTEMBER 24TH. ANY ATHLETIC

>> >> THANK YOU. >> ALL RIGHT.

AND THEN I'M GOING TO TURN IT OVER TO CHRISTINE GARCIA WHO IS GOING TO GIVE YOU SOME PARK UPDATES. SO WELCOME BACK. WE'RE ALSO GETTING READY TO START A NEW BUDGET YEAR. AS WE GO THROUGH THE PARK BUDGET, I WILL GIVE YOU UPDATES AND THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE FUTURE PROJECTS THAT WILL BE IN THE UPCOMING BUDGET SHOULD OUR BUDGET HEARING GO WELL THIS WEDNESDAY. PINE TRAILS PARK PLAY GROUND.

THIS HAS BEEN A PROJECT ON GOING. WE ARE MOST OF YOU GUYS ALREADY KNOW THIS PROJECT IS COMPLETED AND WE DID DO OUR RIBBON CUTTING JUST BEFORE SUMMER.

THAT WAS AN EXCITING TIME TO GET IT ALL DONE AND MET OUR TARGET TIMES FOR THAT.

THERE IS ONE AREA OF ONE OF THE BRIDGES IN THE ORIGINAL DESIGN. PASSED ALL SAFETY EXCEPTIONS AND THAT NEW BRIDGE IS EXPECTED TO COME IN OCTOBER. AGAIN ANOTHER PROJECT THAT WE HAVE BEEN HAVING A LOT OF CONVERSATION ON. YOU GUYS HAD A LOT OF INPUT THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROJECT. WE ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE WE HAVE A FINAL CONCEPT PLAN THAT HAS BEEN APPROVED AND WE HAVE STARTED OUR CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND DRAWINGS.

WE ALSO HAVE COMMISSION APPROVAL OF HIRING OUR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK AND WE ARE GOING THROUGH FINALIZING THAT CONTRACT AND THAT WILL GO BACK TO COMMISSION FOR FINAL APPROVAL AS WELL. SO THAT WAY OUR CONTRACTORS IS WORKING AS LONG AS WITH OUR ARCHITECT AS WE'RE DEVELOPING THE DESIGN PLANS FOR THIS PARK. AND JUST A REMINDER, ALTHOUGH IT'S NOT IDEAL, OUR CONCEPT PLAN IS RIGHT HERE. HAS A WIDE VARIETY OF AMENITIES ALL OF WHICH YOU HAVE SEEN AND TALKED ABOUT. THERE'S BEEN A COUPLE MINOR CHANGES FROM THE LAST PLAN YOU GUYS SAW. WE DID ADD A SMALLER MULTI-PURPOSE FIELD AND KIND OF REORIENTED THE COURTS JUST SLIGHTLY AND SO FORTH.

BUT FOR THE MOST PART, IT REMAINS WITH ALL THE AMENITIES WE HAVE BEEN CONVERSATION ABOUT THE PLAY GROUND, A POTENTIL BUILDING, A SPLASH PAD, A MINI VILLAGE AREA.

PICKLEBALL, BASEBALL, SOFTBALL AND BEAUTIFUL LAKES. THERE WILL BE SIX PAVILIONS THAT WILL BE ABLE FOR RENTAL AS WELL. THAT'S THE APPROVED CONCEPT PLAN.

AS WE GO THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, I WANT TO RE MIND YOU NOT ALL AMENITIES WILL BE BUILT. DEPENDS ON BUDGET. AS WE GET CLOSER TO 90% AND 10%

[00:15:07]

OF OUR DOCUMENTS WE WILL KNOW IF WE'RE GOING TO BUILD THE ENTIRE PARK AS IS.

TARAMAR BATHROOM REMODEL. THIS HAS BEEN IN DESIGN. WE ARE HAPPY WE AWARDED TO CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND FINALIZING THAT CONTRACT UP AS WE SPEAK.

WE HAVE A KICK OFF MEETING LATER THIS WEEK WITH THE CONSTRUCTION WORKER, CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, AND HOPEFULLY WE WILL BE ABLE TO GET THIS PROJECT STARTED WITHIN THE NEXT MONTH, MONTH AND A HALF. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS THE TARAMAR REMODEL.

WE ARE REMODELLING BOTH SETS OF BATHROOMS. OUR PLAN IS NOT TO HAVE BOTH BATHROOMS SHUT DOWN AT THE SAME TIME. POTENTIALLY IN THE FRONT BATHROOM, WHICH IS THE BIGGER BATHROOM WITH MORE STALLS, WHICH THAT GETS DONE, WE WILL HAVE PORTA POTTIES SHOULD THE NEED ARISE. LIBERTY PARK IMPROVEMENTS.

ANOTHER EXCITING PROJECT THAT WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON OVER THE SUMMER.

CONSTRUCTION ACTUALLY STARTED IN JULY FOR THE PLAY GROUND IMPROVEMENTS.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. IT'S GOT THE SAME LOOK AND FEEL THAT THE THINGS WE HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT. THE COLORS ARE DIFFERENT, BUT IT'S BEAUTIFUL.

I LIKE THEM ACTUALLY. IT'S NOT, THERE'S NATURE NATURAL COLORS, THE BROWNS AND THE GREENS. IF YOU'RE OUT AND ABOUT IN THE AREA AND WANT TO DO A SNEAK PEEK, YOU PROBABLY CAN. IT'S STILL CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION WITH THE SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION ON THE PLAYGROUND COMPONENT. JUST A REMINDER, THAT THIS LIBERTY PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WILL CONTINUE TO BE ON-GOING FOR THE NEXT COUPLE YEARS BECAUSE THERE ARE OTHER AREAS OF LIBERTY PARK THAT WE WILL BE IMPROVING. THE FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS WILL INCLUDE REPLACING THE PERIMETER FENCE. RESTROOM RENOVATION AND THE WALK WAY AND LANDSCAPING. SO WE ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT A LOT OF OUR PROJECTS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED THAT WE HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT. THE BARKLAND DOG PARK.

THE FENCE REPLACEMENT HAS BEEN DONE AND ALL THE AGILITY EQUIPMENT IS DONE.

OUR EQUESTRIAN CENTER WAS RESURFACED AND REOPENED READY FOR OUR HORSEMAN ASSOCIATION SHOWS WHEN THEY START BACK UP. TARAMAR PARKS FIELD AND 6 FIELD AND FENCE REPLACEMENT WAS DONE.

ON THE ATHLETICS UPDATE WHEN NICK OR FELICIA THROUGH NICK WAS TALKING ABOUT THE BACK STALLS BEING NEW, IT'S NOT THE FENCING OF THE BACK STOPS ON THE BASEBALL FIELD.

IT'S ACTUALLY THE PADDING THAT GOES ALONG THE PACK OF THE FENCE.

THOSE ARE ALL NEW AND REPLACED AS WELL. BUT FIELDS 2 AND SIX, FIELD SAYS AND DUG OUT ARE DONE. TERRAMAR, THEY REDID THE STONE. NEW PATHWAYS WERE RESURFACED AND WIDENED TO HIM WITH THE MAINTENANCE GUYS NOT DAMAGE THE GRASS.

THE REPLACEMENT OF BASKETBALL COURTS 1 AND TWO ARE DONE. 3 AND FOUR ARE CONCERNS AND YOU WILL SEE IT HAS CRACKING AND ISSUES AND CONCERN WITH THAT. THAT IS A FUTURE PROJECT FOR NEXT YEAR. WHAT WAS DONE THIS YEAR THAT WE JUST COMPLETE SIDE WE JUST RESURFACED COURTS ONE AND TWO AND REDID THE FENCES. 3 AND FOUR CAME LATER DOWN THE ROAD AND WE DON'T WANT TO SHUT DOWN ALL FOUR BASKETBALL COURTS AT THE SAME TIME.

DORIS DAVIS EVASIVE PLANT REMOVAL AND PLANS REPLACEMENT. IF YOU NOTICE WHEN YOU GO BY DORIS DAVIS PARK, THE WHOLE FRONT FENCING IS NEW. ONE SIDE WAS REPAIRS THAT BACK UP TO THE HOMES THERE. THERE WAS QUITE A FEW HOLES AND THINGS TO THAT NATURE.

WE WERE HEARING FROM THE HOMEOWNERS. WE WENT AHEAD AND DID REPAIR WORK ON THAT SIDE. DID LANDSCAPING. A LITTLE MINOR LANDSCAPING IN FRONT. LOOKS NICE IN THE FRONT SIDE OF DORIS DAVIS.

FARMER'S MARKET PARKING AREA, WE FENCED OUR REGRADING. WE ARE EXCITED FOR OUR NEW FARMER'S MARKET TO GET STARTED. WE WILL SEE A LITTLE BIT SMOOTHER AND NOT MUCH HILLS.

NONETHELESS, IT'S STILL OFF ROAD PARKING >> THE IMPROVEMENTS HAVE DRASTICALLY IMPROVED. TENNIS CENTER PEA ROCK. THE PEA ROCK WAS COVERED BY THE CLAY FROM THE COURTS AND DETERIORATING IN REGARDS TO THE AESTHETICS.

WE PULLED THAT OUT AND REPLACED THE PEA ROCK. WE HAD POTS AND LANDSCAPING NOW GOING ON TO SPRUCE IT UP A LITTLE BIT AS YOU GO OUT TO THE COURTS THERE AND WE ALSO

[00:20:06]

FINISHED OUR LED LIGHT PROJECT FOR THOSE TENNIS COURTS. EXCITING STUFF GOING INTO THE NEW BUDGET YEAR. THESE ARE OUR PROPOSED PARK PROJECTS.

WE LOOK TO RESOD THE AMPHITHEATER LAWN. IT WON'T BE FROM FRONT TO BACK.

ONLY THE FRONT SECTION THAT GETS THE WEAR AND TEAR FROM THE EVENT.

ACTUALLY THE BACK SECTION OF THE GREAT LAWN ISASMLY STILL IN GOOD SHAPE.

WE WILL REPLACE PROBABLY THE FIRST THIRD OF THE GREAT LAWN AREA.

THE AMPHITHEATER ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION, THAT INCLUDES PUTTING IN OUTLETS.

EVERY YEAR FOR LIGHT UP THE PARK WE ARE RUNNING EXTENSION CORDS. THIS IS A SAFETY THING WE PUT IN THE PROJECT AND WE WILL BE ABLE TO PUT OUTLETS CLOSER TO THE BASES OF THE TREES.

LIGHTING FOR PINE TRAILS PLAY GROUND. AS WE KNOW, WE REDID THE PLAY

GROUND >> LIGHTING THAT WAS THERE ISN'T WORKING TO ITS FULL POTENTIAL.

SO WE WERE ABLE TO GET A PROJECT FOR NEXT YEAR TO GO AHEAD AND PUT IN LIGHTING.

WHEN THAT PARK IS OPEN AT NIGHT, ESPECIALLY WITH THE CANOPIES AND EVERYTHING ELSE, IT WILL PROVIDE MORE LIGHTING IN THE PLAY GROUND AREA FOR SAFETY. PINE TRAIL CONCESSION STAND IMPROVEMENTS. WE WILL BE UPGRADING AND PROVIDING AC INSIDE FOR OUR CONCESSIONAIRE AND PROVIDE OUTDOOR PICNIC SEATING RIGHT OUTSIDE.

PINE TRAILS BASKETBALL COURTS THREE AND FOUR. WE WILL PUT DOWN FIBER MESH TO IMPROVE THE EXISTING CRACKS. WHEN THE COURTS WERE ORIGINALLY BUILT.

THEY WERE BUILT ON TOP OF A CONCRETE BASE. IT'S BEEN KIND OF A PROCESS IN DECIDING WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST PLAN TO MOVE FORWARD. FIBER MESHING THE ENTIRE COURT IS WHAT WE WILL BE DOING. IT WILL TAKE A LITTLE LONGER. THIS PROJECT ACTUALLY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE DONE UNTIL AFTER THE BASKETBALL SEASON BECAUSE OF THE TIMING WHEN THEIR LEAGUE STARTS. THE CANOPY REPLACEMENTS, WE WILL REPLACE ON THE PINE TRAIL AND LAST YEAR WE DID THE FRONT MULTIPURPOSE FIELDS AND OVER AT TERRAMAR, BASICALLY ALL CANOPIES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF FIELDS THREE AND FOUR BECAUSE THEY ARE NEW.

TERRAMAR BASEBALL FIELDS 1 AND FIVE FENCE AND DUG OUT REPLACEMENT.

THIS YEAR WE WILL GO BACK AND DO 1 AND 5. TERRAMAR PARK CONCESSION IMPROVEMENTS. EXTERIOR PAINTING. AC IMPROVEMENTS AND NEW COUNTERS INSIDE THE CONCESSION STAND THERE. THE BASEBALL TOWER IMPROVEMENTS OVER AT TERRAMAR. ROOF AND PAINTING AND AC FLOORING AND COUNTERS INSIDE THE TOWER UP ON THE SECOND FLOOR AS WELL AS PAINTING OF THE FACILITY.

THE TENNIS CENTER COURT RESURFACING. THE CLAY COURTS IT'S TIME TO LASER GRADE AND PUT IN THE PROPER AMOUNT OF CLAY BEFORE WE LOSE TOO MUCH.

THEN HAVE TO SPEND MAJOR MONEY ON FIXING THE COURTS. EVERY FOUR TO FIVE YEARS, YOU NEED TO LASER GRADE AND REDO THE TENNIS COURTS. THIS WILL BE DONE IN PHASES.

NOT ALL TENNIS COURTS WILL BE SHUT DOWN AT THE SAME TIME. THEY WILL BE SHUT DOWN AT A PERIOD OF TIME AND ALLOW THE MEMBERS TO PLAY AND THE LEAGUES TO TAKE PLACE.

LAST OUR TENNIS CENTER IMPROVEMENTS. THE BUILDING ITSELF, PARTICIPATE PAINTING A NEW ICE MACHINE AND SINKS. ANY QUESTIONS ON OUR PARK

PROJECTS COMPLETED OR WHAT IS COMING UP? >> I HAVE A COUPLE FOR YOU.

>> THE PINE TRAILS BASKETBALL COURTS. I REMEMBER A YEAR OR TWO AGO.

WE WERE DISCUSSING THE SCORE BOARDS. IS THAT GETTING DONE WHEN WE DO

THE RESURFACING? >> I WILL SEND OUT AN E-MAIL TO THE BOARD.

I THINK WHEN I LOOKED THAT UP IT'S NEXT BUDGET YEAR. >> IT'S STILL ON THE PLAN TO DO

PER THE LIFE EXPECTANCY. >> BATHROOMS AT TERRAMAR. THERE'S TWO BATHROOMS. AND THEY'RE FAR APART AS THE. SO WHEN YOU SAID WE WILL ASSESS THE NEED, PEOPLE ARE EVER PLAYING TENNIS AND THE BATHROOMS ARE SHUT DOWN, WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE PATH CLEANING.

LIKEWISE, WHEN HE SHUT THOSE DOWN. THAT'S A HIKE.

[00:25:04]

KEEP THAT IN MIND. WE SHOULD CONSIDER PORTA-POTTIES WHEN BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL

AREN'T IN SEASON, WORKING ON THOSE. >> JUST FOR TIMING, I KNOW THAT MAYBE IDEAL, BECAUSE OF THE LINK OF THE PROJECT AND WHERE WE'RE AT IN THE DESIGN PHASES, WE HAVE ALREADY AWARDED TO A CONTRACTOR. WE CAN'T DELAY HIM TOO MUCH BECAUSE HE GAVE PRICING VALID FOR 90 DAYS. I WILL SHARE THE SCHEDULE SO YOU WILL BE AWARE OF WHAT THE

SCHEDULE WOULD BE. >> I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND SOME SORT OF RESTROOM IN THE AREA ESPECIALLY IF BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL SEASON ARE GOING ON. SORRY, LAST THING.

THE CONCESSION AT PINE TRAILS >> WE ARE DISCUSSING JUST NEAR THE

>> >> THANK YOU.

>> YOU'RE WELCOME. >> HAD A QUICK QUESTION. IT'S NOT NECESSARILY IN THE PROPOSED PROJECTS AND MAYBE IT'S JUST AS A REFERENCE POINT FOR ME TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE, WHEN YOU ENTER PINE TRAILS PARK ACROSS FROM THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, IT SEEMED LIKE COMING IN THE OTHER DAY THERE'S A LOT THAT'S NOT PAVED. IS THERE LIKE A GRAVEL LOT

THERE? >> THERE IS A GRAVEL LOT. THE FIRST LOT IS GRAVEL.

IS THERE ANY DISCUSSION TO PAY THAT? IS THERE A REASON IT'S GRAVEL VERSUS REGULAR PARKING? CAN YOU GET MORE CARS THE WAY IT'S SET UP?

>> YOU'RE RIGHT. THERE'S BEEN CONVERSATION AND WE GO BACK AND FORTH IN REGARDS TO PAVING VERSUS NOT PAVING IT. LEAVING IT AS IS DOES ALLOW THE FLEXIBILITY OF US ABLE TO GET

MORE CARS IN THERE. >> JUST A FEW THINGS. FIRST OF ALL, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE ADDITIONS TO THE BENCHES AT TERRAMAR, THEY ARE DEFINITELY BEING USED.

EVERY TIME I GO TO THE PARK, I SEE PEOPLE SITTING IN SEVERAL OF THEM.

ALSO, THE PINE TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS, IT'S A VERY BIG IMPROVEMENT FOR THE SWINGS FOR THE FAMILIES AND EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL. IT REALLY BROUGHT A LOT TO THE PARK AS WELL AS THE NEW TOWER YOU HAVE IN THE OLDER SECTION. VERY NICE EQUIPMENT AND CHOICES FOR THE PARK. I THINK WAS REALLY GOOD FOR THE KIDS.

AND IT'S GOING TO BE IN PHASES. AT WHAT POINT WILL IT REOPEN FOR PARTIES AND ATTENDANCE FOR

PEOPLE TO GO? >> I DON'T HAVE AN EXACT DATE TO BE ABLE TO TELL YOU AT TONIGHT'S MEETING, THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T TALK IN REGARDS TO THAT. THEY'RE PROBABLY ABOUT 90% THROUGH THE PLAY GROUND IMPROVEMENTS AT THIS POINT. LAST WEEK WHEN I WAS OVER THERE, THEY WERE STILL JUST STARTING THE PAVILIONS IN FRONT AND STUFF LIKE THAT.

WE ACTUALLY HAVE A SCHEDULED WALK THROUGH TOMORROW. SO I'LL BE ABLE TO HAVE A LITTLE MORE SENSE OF A TIME FRAME. HOW GAUGE THIS, DO WE REOPEN AND COME BACK AND CLOSE AGAIN TO DO THE PERMIT OR FENCE THAT WAS JUST APPROVED LAST WEEK? THINGS OF THAT NATURE AND I WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE A BETTER SENSE OF TIMING AND I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO E-MAIL YOU ALL

THOSE ANSWERS AS WELL TOO. >> ON LIBERTY PARK, IS THE PERIMETER FENCE TO EXTEND OR

REPLACE? >> IT WILL BE THE SAME EXACT LOCATION.

IT'S GOING TO BE THAT, THE RECYCLED PLASTIC LIKE WE HAVE FOR THE PLAY GROUND EQUIPMENT THAT WE BOUGHT THE NEWER PRODUCTS. ESPECIALLY BY THE SPLASH PAD.

WHEN WE STARTED GETTING INTO THE REPLACEMENT, A LOT OF NAME PLATES HAD HISTORY IN THE PARK.

IN LOOKING AT THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE WITH THE SPLASH PAD AND THE WATER AND SO FORTH, IT ONLY MAKES SENSE TO GET THE UPGRADED PRODUCT TO HAVE LONGEVITY OF THE FENCE AND ENGRAVE THE SAME NAMES ONCE AGAIN. WHAT IS ALSO EXCITING WITH THE PROJECT IS WE ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO OPEN THE DOORS FOR FUTURE PEOPLE TO PROVIDE A DONATION TO THE PARK AND THEN THEY COULD SEE THEIR NAME ON A NEW SLAT BECAUSE THERE'S A LOT OF VACANT SLATS OUT THERE.

>> THEN JUST, SORRY MY LAST QUESTION. ON THE WEDGE PARK, THE, IS THE CITY STILL INCLUDED, THE MINICITY IN THE PLAN YOU WERE DOING FOR THE KIDS?

I WASN'T SURE I SAW THAT. NEXT TO THE SMALL PLAY GROUND. >> I WILL GO BACK TO IT.

OOPS. WRONG WAY ON THE ARROW. OKAY.

THE BROWN SECTION NEXT TO THE YELLOW SAILS. >> UH-HUH.

[00:30:05]

>> THAT'S THE MINI-PLAY VILLAGE. >> THAT BROWN SECTION WILL BE THE MINIPLAY.

>> I WAS JUST CURIOUS. >> YEAH, THEY ARE SIDE BY SIDE WITH A RENTAL BUILDING IN

BETWEEN THAT AND A SPLASH PAD ON THE OTHER SIDE. >> I THINK THAT'S GOING TO BE A VERY BIG BENEFIT FOR THE CITY ESPECIALLY HAVING THE RENTAL BUILDING WHICH HOPEFULLY WILL

HAVE WINDOWS FACING THE TWO AREAS. >> THAT IS NOTED.

THAT WILL BE A VERY HIGH DEMAND SPOT I THINK. >> YEAH --

>> FOR RENTALS. >> WE ARE VERY PRELIMINARY IN THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.

THEY UNDERSTAND THAT IS ONE OF OUR REQUESTS AND ASKS YOU KNOW AGAIN WE'RE STILL EARLY IN HOW WE GO THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND PRICING AND BUDGET WILL BE WHERE WE KIND OF LEAVE OFF AT. BUT, AS OF RIGHT NOW, THE MEETING SPACE IS ON THE BACKSIDE CLOSER TO THE LAKE SIDE OF THAT BUILDING AND JUST FOR CLARIFICATION PURPOSES SO WE'RE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE. IT WILL NOT BE A CIRCULAR BUILDING BUT A RECTANGULAR SHAPE. THE BACK AND TWO SIDES YOU CAN SEE IT LINE UP.

THE SPLASH PAD ON ONE SIDE AND THE BIG LAKE IN THE BACK WILL HAVE BIG FULL SIZED WINDOWS.

>> WHAT IS THE TIME TABLE FOR THE PROJECT? >> I'M SORRY.

>> WHAT IS THE TIME TABLE FOR THE PROJECT?P>> SO AGAIN COMPLI WHERE WE STAND TODAY, IT'S AN EVER-MOVING TARGET. I KNOW I'M BEING RECORDED DON'T QUOTE ME ON IT.

WHERE WE STAND TODAY, WE ARE LOOKING AT BECAUSE WE'RE ALSO GOING THROUGH AND TIMING THIS BECAUSE WE'RE STILL GOING THROUGH THE PLAT PROCESS. WE HAVE TO GET THIS PROPERTY RECORDED INTO THE CITY AND SO FORTH. WE CAN'T PULL PERMITS FOR CONSTRUCTION UNTIL THAT ENTIRE PROCESS IS DONE AND OVER WITH. WE ARE WORKING WITH A POTENTIAL ABILITY TO BE ABLE TO DO A TRI-PARTY AGREEMENT TO DO SITE WORK AND PRELIMINARY THINGS WHERE WE FINISH UP THE RECORDATION. THAT'S OUR PLAN IS.

RIGHT NOW WITH MEETING PRELIMINARY WITH OUR CMR AND OUR ARCHITECTS, WE ARE LOOKING AT A POTENTIAL CONSTRUCTION START MAYBE AROUND AUGUST, SEPTEMBER. WHERE YOU MAY SEE SITE WORK AND LITTLE MOVEMENT GOING ON OUT THERE. I COULD TELL YOU THAT THIS SITE IS A LOT LOWER THAN WHAT IT NEEDS TO BE. AND SO I'M BEING TOLD THAT WE'RE PROBABLY GOING TO HAVE CLOSE TO SEVEN, EIGHT MONTHS OF SITE WORK BEFORE WE START SEEING THE COOL

STUFF. >> IT'S ABOUT AN 18-MONTH PROJECT.

>> WHAT'S THAT? >> 12 TO 18 MONTH PROJECT. >> YEP.

>> SO, ALTHOUGH THERE'S NO TIME PERIOD FOR THE WEDGE PARK AND REOPENING OF THE LIBERTY PARK, I'M STILL HAPPY THAT YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN WORKING AND THANKS FOR SHARING ALL THE COMPLETED JOBS THAT YOU HAVE DONE. IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD AND I'M SURE THE COMMUNITY IS BENEFITTING FROM THAT. SO THANK YOU. YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN BUSY.

SO I FEEL CONFIDENT THAT THE OTHER PROJECTS PROPOSED PROJECTS WILL COME THROUGH.

WITH REGARDS TO EATS AND BEATS, DID YOU GUYS OR HAVE YOU EVER DONE LIKE A TREND ANALYSIS WITH REGARDS TO THE MONTH OF JUNE TO SEE IF WE'VE HAD WASH OUTS FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS OR HOW

THAT WORKS? >> YES, IT'S INTERESTING YOU SAID THAT.

THIS PAST JUNE, ALMOST ALL WERE CANCELED AND HAD TO GET RESCHEDULED.

LAST YEAR THAT WASN'T THE CASE. I DIDN'T CANCEL ANY EXCEPT ONE. NONETHELESS, EVEN ON OUR ATTENDANCE NUMBERS. JUNE USUALLY HAS A HIGH ATTENDANCE.

SUMMER IS STARTING AND THEY WANT TO GET OUT. JULY IS A LITTLE BIT SLOWER BECAUSE THE HOLIDAY AND THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER AND PEOPLE VACATIONING AND SO FORTH.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP AN EYE ON IT FOR SURE. >> THANK YOU.

>> THANK YOU TO YOU AND YOUR STAFF. I THINK YOU DO A FANTASTIC JOB.

VERY THOROUGH, I LOVE THESE PRESENTATIONS >> YOU ALWAYS GIVE THE ANSWERS BEFORE I GET A CHANCE TO ASK THEM. REGARDING THE CONCESSIONS AT THE

PARKS, IS IT THE SAME CONTRACT? SAME PERSON? >> YES.

>> HOW LONG IS THAT CONTRACT FOR? >> SO THAT CONTRACT WAS INITIALLY DONE FOR FIVE YEARS. IT IS UP FOR RENEWAL THE END OF MARCH.

[00:35:02]

THE CONTRACT TERM IS APRIL 1ST THROUGH MARCH 31ST. IT'S UP FOR RENEWAL.

THERE IS CONVERSATION GOING ON NOW THAT WE MAY EXTEND IT FOR POTENTIALLY ANOTHER YEAR.

AND THEN YOU KNOW, AT SOME POINT, WE WILL GO OUT TO REBID. THE HISTORY AND THIS WAS BEFORE MY TIME, I REMEMBER WHEN I HAD FIRST STARTED, I HAD MET RON AND SWEET LOU'S AND SO FORTH.

THE CITY HAD GONE OUT TO BID FOR A CONCESSIONAIRE AND DID NOT GET RESPONSES.

THE CITY WAS ABLE TO WORK WITH HIM AND COME TOGETHER WITH THE AGREEMENT WE HAVE IN PLACE.

AT SOME POINT WE WILL GO OUT TO BID AND HOPEFULLY GET A BETTER RESULT.

HOWEVER WITH THAT BEING SAID, WE LOVE RON. SO, HE'S DOING A GOOD JOB.

>> IF I CAN PIGGYBACK ON THIS. MY UNDERSTANDING BECAUSE I WAS HERE WHEN THAT FIRST ALL WENT DOWN TOO, HE SWEET LOU'S HAS A VERY SWEET DEAL. AT THIS POINT, THE AMOUNT OF MONEY, I CAN SPEAK FOR SOFTBALL AND I'M SURE BASEBALL. ONE OF THE THINGS WHEN WE DO TOURNAMENTS, YOU CAN MAKE MONEY FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION IS ON CONCESSIONS.

THEY HAVE AN EXCLUSIVE FOR CONCESSIONS. FROM MY UNDERSTANDING AND MAYBE I'M INCORRECT. THE LITTLE AMOUNT OF MONEY, WOULD IT NOT BE BETTER TO OFFER TO THE ORGANIZATIONS AS A WAY FOR THEM TO HELP FUND RAISE AS OPPOSED TO GIVING SOMEBODY A

FREE LEASE WITH? >> IT'S NOT FREE. DON'T GET ME WRONG.

>> NO, IT'S AN INTERESTING THOUGHT PROCESS. THERE'S PROS AND CONS OBVIOUSLY AND EITHER WAY DO YOU DO IT. THIS ONE A PROCESS THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH WITH ALL OF OUR LEAGUES AND BECAUSE WE HAVE SO MANY OF THEM. AND WHO GETS IT AND WHEN DO THEY GET IT? WE HAVE OVERLAPPING SEASONS. THINGS TO THAT NATURE THAT THAT MAYBE AN INTERESTING CONVERSATION ANYWAYS TO SAY THE LEAST.

IF REGARDS IF THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE MANAGEABLE AND WILLING, YOU MAY WANT TO DO IT AND SOFTBALL COMMUNITY YOU GET PARENTS TO VOLUNTEER AND SOME OTHER LEAGUES MAY NOT. WOULD WE HAVE ENOUGH THAT WOULD BE INTERESTED TO MAKE IT COVERAGE FOR THE WHOLE YEAR? DO WE HAVE TOO MANY LEAGUES WE WOULD BE AT EACH OTHER'S THROAT,

NO IT'S NOT FAIR. IT'S MY TURN. >> IT WOULD BE AN INTERESTING

CONVERSATION TO HAVE. >> OKAY. >> LIKE I SAID, DON'T GET ME WRONG, IF WE HAVE SOMEONE PAYING A REASONABLE RENT, I UNDERSTAND. ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING AND WE HAD NOTHING. BUT, IF IT'S STILL GOING TO BE NOTHING AGAIN, AT LEAST HAVE THAT DISCUSSION BECAUSE MAYBE THE LEAGUES CAN GET TOGETHER AND FIGURE OUT, HEY, THAT'S JUST A

WAY TO HELP OUR LEAGUES CONTINUE TO PROSPER. >> YEAH.

I DO KNOW BACK IN THE DAY, THAT WAS WHAT TYPICALLY HAPPENED IN A LOT OF THE CITY PARKS IN REGARDS TO THE LEAGUES RAN THE CONCESSION AND HELPED FUND THE PROGRAM AND KEPT COSTS DOWN FOR THE RESIDENTS WHICH IS WHAT THE INTENT OF WHAT BENEFIT WEIGHED. OVER THE YEARS, A LOT OF CITIES HAVE MOVED AWAY BECAUSE THEY CAN'T HAVE THE CONSISTENCY OR WE HAVE ONE GROUP IN IT FOR THESE THREE MONTHS AND THERE'S AN INVENTORY OF STUFF AND THE NEXT GROUP COMES IN.

THERE'S THAT THEY LEFT IT A MESS OR DIDN'T LEAVE THIS. THERE'S ALL OF THOSE THINGS COMING IN AND OUT. ALSO DOING IT WAY THAT IN REGARDING TO HOLDING YOUR PROFESSIONAL CONCESSIONAIRE ACCOUNTABLE FOR WEAR AND TEAR AND WHAT ACTUALLY TAKES PLACE.

WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS BUT SOMETIMES THEY'RE NOT AS MINDFUL BECAUSE THIS IS THEIRS.

BUT I HAVE TO BE HERE FOR THREE HOURS. >> ABSOLUTELY.

I'M NOT SAYING IT'S A PERFECT THING. IF WE'RE GOING TO GIVE IT AWAY

FOR FREE, MAYBE -- >> IT'S NOT FREE. >> IF WE'RE GOING TO GIVE IT AWAY FOR NEXT TO NOTHING COMPARED TO OTHER RETAIL SPACE, IT'S JUST A DISCUSSION TO BE

HAD. >> AS WE GO THROUGH RENEWALS AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE.

>> ONE MORE CONCESSION QUESTION. WITH THE NEW PARK IS THERE CONCESSION?

>> NO. ALL OF OUR PARKS HAVE VENDING MACHINES.

THERE'S SNACK AND SODA VENDING MACHINES. THERE ARE THREE SETS OF RESTROOMS. TWO INDEPENDENT BUILDINGS. ONE IS THE BUILDING, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN IT IN THE SOUTH BETWEEN THE BANK SHOT AND NINJA WARRIOR, THAT LITTLE TINY BLUE SQUARE IS A RESTAURANT AND THE OTHER ARE STAND ALONE RESTROOMS. THEY WILL HAVE RESTROOMS VENDING MACHINES, STORAGE YOU KNOW JANITORIAL STORAGE AND THE OTHER SET OF RESTROOMS IS IN THE BUILDING THAT WILL HAVE ACCESS FROM THE OUTSIDE SO THAT WAY IF THERE'S NOTHING GOING ON IN THE BUILDING, WE CAN LOCKDOWN INTERIOR DOORS.

[00:40:05]

ON THE SPLASH PAD SIDE, THERE WILL BE A FAMILY USE RESTROM IF SOMEONE NEEDS TO GO IN WITH

THEIR CHILD OR ANY OF THAT STUFF. >> TO GO ALONG WITH THAT, IS THERE ANY DISCUSSION OF HAVING A WATER FOUNTAIN INSTALLED THAT WOULD START, THEY HAVE IN
