>> I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES AMERICA AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS ONE NATION UNDER GOD INDIVISIBLE WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

[4. Approval of Minutes]

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE MARCH 8, 2022 MEETING, AS EVERYBODY HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO READ THE MINUTES? DO I HAVE A SECOND? ALL IN FAVOR SIGNIFY BY SAYING

AYE. >> AYE.

>> ANYONE AS OPPOSED? PLEASE SHOW IT AS PAST, NEXT ON THE AGENDA FOR COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON NON- AGENDA ITEMS. DO WE HAVE ANY SPEAKERS? ALL RIGHT, SEEING THAT WE HAVE

[6. Comments by the Chair and Board]

NO ONE, WE WILL CLOSE THE PUBLIC COMMENT TO THE BOARD, AND THEN COMMENTS FROM THE BOARD? WE WILL START OUT BY SAYING I WILL KEEP MY COMMENTS BRIEF SO THAT WE CAN GET ONTO THE GOOD STUFF THAT JACKIE HAS PLANNED FOR US TONIGHT.

WITH THAT BEING SAID JEFF YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO ADD?

>> I APOLOGIZE TO MY FELLOW GROUP MEMBERS FOR LISTENING TEST BACK FOR MISSING LAST MEETING, I WAS STUCK AT THE OFFICE.

I WAS E-MAILING IMPATIENTLY THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO MAKE IT HERE.

SOME GOOD THINGS BETWEEN THE LAST MINUTE, I DID TAKE A DIVERSITY, COURSE ONLINE, AT THE COUNTY HAD OFFERED.

I CAN SEND YOU THE POWERPOINT IF YOU WANT TO DISTRIBUTE IT, IT HAS GOOD LINKS IN THERE FOR INFORMATION.

IT WAS A 90 MINUTE CLASS. UNFORTUNATELY I GOT ON THE LAST ONE, I THINK THEY ARE GOING TO BRING IT BACK, IT IS WELL FACILITATED. THE ONLY OTHER THING, I HAVE GOT COMMENTS FROM MY NEIGHBORS BRINGING SOMETHING UP ABOUT THE BIKE PATH ON HOLM BERG. ABOUT THE STRIPING.

IF YOU LOOK AT THE STRIPING ON THE BIKE PATH AND THE NUCOR'S BANKS, YOU HAVE THE BIG GREEN RIGHT STUFF, THERE IS NO STRIPING ON HOMEWORK AND IT IS GONE AND CARS DRIFT INTO THE BIKE LANE. THAT IS SOMETHING MAYBE THAT IS

ON THE AGENDA. >> CAN YOU GIVE ME THE LOCATION

AND THE LIMITS AGAIN PLEASE. >> WHAT IS THAT?

>> CAN YOU GIVE ME YOUR LIMITS ON HOMEWORK.

>> HOME BERG. >> THAT'S IT OKAY SHERRY?

>> I HAVEN'T PREPARED A SPEECH SORRY.

SO AS A MEMBER OF THIS COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD, I WANT TO WISH ALL OF OUR PARKING KIDS AT UPCOMING HAPPY AND SAFE SUMMER.

I AM PROUD TO LIVE IN A CITY THAT OFFERS SO MANY WONDERFUL SUMMER PROGRAMS RANGING FROM SPORTS INCLUDING TENNIS, BASKETBALL, VIOLATE BALD, DANCE, GENERAL ATHLETIC, KIDS CAMPS, THERE IS SOMETHING FOR KIDS OF EVERY AGE.

IF YOU ARE A PARKLAND RESIDENT. I ALSO WANT TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE ALL OF THE APARTMENT ICICLE GRADUATING SENIORS. AND WISH THEM ALL OF THE BEST.

FOR A BRIGHT AND PURPOSEFUL FUTURE.

THE LIBRARY NEWS, THE CITY OF PARKLAND HAS BEEN WORKING ON A POSSIBLE COLLABORATION WITH THE FRIENDS OF THE PARKLAND LIBRARY.

TO INSTALL A PERMANENT STORY WALK ON THE LIBRARY GROUNDS, POSSIBLY. THE MAIN CHALLENGE IS, FINDING A PERSON, WHO IS WILLING TO COORDINATE AND FACILITATE BETWEEN 4-12 STORIES A YEAR ON DISPLAY ON A ROTATING FASHION.

THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY HAS DISCUSSED IT AT THE LAST BOARD MEETING AS WELL AS PAYING THE APPROXIMATE $7,000 FOR THE PERMANENT STORY WALK. WHAT THEY ARE A LONG WAY STILL FROM COMING TO AN AGREEMENT ON DETAILS ABOUT THE WONDERFUL PROJECT. THE BOARD IN THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY STAFF, AND LIBRARY STAFF DID AGREE, TO PARTICIPATE SOMETHING CALLED TEN DAYS OF CONNECTION.

A PROJECT WITH LIBRARIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY, IN MAY OF 2,023.

THE PROJECT INVOLVES CELEBRATION OF DIVERSITY AND LIBRARIES AND COMMUNITIES, ALL AT THE SAME TIME, ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY, WITH SHARING AND COLLABORATION. THIS PROJECT AS PRESENTED BY THE FIENDS, BY TAMIKA FRANCIS, OF THE ALLIES FOR DIVERSITY AND

[00:05:03]

INCLUSION. OUR COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD DIVERSITY SO BOARD PARTNER. TAMIKA HAS HER OWN ADVISOR BOARD MEMBER WITH ORIGINALLY BRINGING THE IDEA TO HER.

SHE IS TO ANGELICA. THANKS TO THE SUGGESTION MADE BY COMMISSIONER CUTLER ALSO AT THE FRIENDS OF THE APARTMENT LIBRARY BOARD MEETING. FOR THE FRIENDS, TO HAVE A FLOAT, AND PARTICIPATE IN THE PARKLAND DAYS PARADE IN MARCH.

AND THEY AGREE TO THAT. AT THE PARKLAND DAYS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING. I OFFERED TO REACH OUT TO PARKLAND HOA RESIDENTS AS A PART OF THE FINE GROUP.

REGARDING THE LEAD UP TO THE PARKLAND DAYS EVENTS.

THEY ARE ALREADY VERY INVOLVED THANKS TO JIM WISE, WHO HAPPENS TO BE HERE. I AM SO GLAD TO SEE YOU JIM.

A VERY ACTIVE PARKLAND HISTORIAN AND PARKLAND HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEMBER OF MANY YEARS. WHO IS LUCKY FROM THEN A HEROIN BAY RESIDENT IN BOARD MEMBER. THE HOA PRESIDENT FROM PARKLAND GOLF AND COUNTRY IS WILLING TO HOST AND AGAIN ABOUT PARKLAND HISTORY LEADING UP TO PARKLAND DAYS.

AND IT WAS SUGGESTED, THAT COMMISSIONER CAN CUTLER OR ANOTHER REPRESENTATIVE REACH OUT TO COORDINATE THAT WITH THEM.

AND AS I HAVE ALREADY SHARED, COMMISSIONER CUTLER PARKLAND HISTORY EXPERT, ALREADY MADE AN INCREDIBLE PRESENTATION TO THE PISCIOTTA TOWN PARK AMARA LAGO COMMUNITY.

ABOUT THE MARGATE. IN THE PARKLAND HISTORY.

AND THOSE ARE MY COMMENTS. >> EXCELLENT THANK YOU SO MUCH

KENDRA? >> I DO NOT HAVE A WHOLE LOT TO SAY OTHER THAN THAT AND I HAVE BEEN REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE YOUTH WHILE I WAS HERE TO SEE THEM AND TO BE ABLE TO PRESENT THEIR AWARDS OR THEIR SCHOLARSHIPS.

AND THEN ALSO WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ATTEND SOME OF THE MEETINGS AND VERY IMPRESSED WITH OUR COMMISSIONERS, AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING OR MAYOR ADVICE MATTER. SO I WANT NO WANT TO CONNECT WITH THE LIBRARY TO SEE WHAT WE CAN DO FOR MENTAL HEALTH DAYS

PER. >> I MET WITH M&MS MORNING.

>> GREAT OKAY PERFECT. AND HE IS DEFINITELY ON TOP OF IT, AND HOPEFULLY THEY CAN GET ME SOMETHING THERE.

BUT THAT IS IT. >> THANK YOU, DENISE?

>> I DO NOT HAVE ANY TO SAY THIS MONTH.

>> ALL RIGHT LORI? >> WELL I DID ALL I COULD NOT TO INTERRUPT JEFF. BUT THIS IS FOR YOUR NEIGHBORS.

IT SEEMS THAT I HAVE A LOT OF CONSTRUCTION THINGS TO TALK ABOUT. THERE ACTUALLY IS A HEARING THURSDAY NIGHT AT THE LIBRARY. IT WILL ALSO BE ON ZOOM.

TALKING ABOUT THE PROJECT MAINTENANCE, AND THE PROPOSED TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS. THEY ARE GOING TO BE WIDENING THE ROADWAY AT THE ENTRY OF MARJORY STONEMAN DOUGLAS HIGH SCHOOL. TO ACCOMMODATE A DEDICATED RIGHT TURN LANE WHICH I AM VERY HAPPY ABOUT.

THERE IS GOING TO BE MILLING AND RESURFACING WITHIN THE PROJECT LIMITS. AND RESTRIPING THE ROADWAY TO ACCOMMODATE BICYCLE LANES WITHIN THE PROJECT LIMITS.

SO YOU KNOW, I WAS BURSTING AT THE SEAMS. UPGRADING SIDEWALK AND CURB RAMPS, AND UP GRADING PEDESTRIAN SIGNALS, PAVEMENT MARKINGS, AND SIGNAGE.

SO ONE DIRECT CHIN UPON TO GROW WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE PAVING OPERATION, WHICH WE WOULD IMAGINE.

AND TRAFFIC WILL BE DETOURED USING PINE ISLAND ROAD TRAILS AND END WITH THE ROAD. SO FOR MORE INFORMATION, I AM SURE YOU HAVE THIS IT WAS A FLYER, THAT THERE IS A CONSTRUCTION OPEN HOUSE THURSDAY AT THE LIBRARY.

IT IS FROM 6-7:00 P.M. OR THERE IS A ZOOM SIGN IN AS WELL. SO APROPOS TO THAT, NOW, THERE WAS ANOTHER ROADWAY SPECIAL THING THAT CAUGHT MY EYE.

THERE IS GOING TO BE A THREE-MILE STRETCH OF UNIVERSITY DRIVE, FROM SAWGRASS TO STATE ROAD 827.

WILL REMAIN MICHAEL NAZCA WHICH DRIVE.

AFTER MICHAEL WE KNEW HIM HE WAS AN ACTIVIST AND A LONGTIME RESIDENT. HE DIED RECENTLY OF PANCREATIC CANCER. AND THEY HAD TO OF COURSE SUBMIT THIS SUGGESTION, TO THE LEGISLATURE, IT SEEMS LIKE THEY HAVE AN ANNUAL ROAD NAMING BILL, THEY INCLUDE THAT IN THE BILL,

[00:10:04]

AND I'M SURE THAT THAT WILL PASS, AND IT IS VERY WELL DESERVED. AND THE OTHER THING THAT I DID WANT TO MENTION, WHICH SEEMS TO BE IMPACTING MY NEIGHBORS, AND I KNOW THAT YOU PROBABLY ARE VERY CONCERNED ABOUT IT AS WELL.

THE NORTH SPRINGS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, IS STILL HAVING MEETINGS OR HEARINGS OR WHATEVER, WITH NEW RFPS, I'M SURE EVERYBODY KNOWS ABOUT IT. THERE WERE THREE THAT WERE SUBMITTED. A LOT OF THE RESIDENTS WERE NOT PLEASED WITH THIS SELECTION, THAT NOTH SPRINGS SUGGESTED.

THAT SUGGESTION HAS BEEN TABLED UNTL NEXT MONTH.

SO, IT IS STILL OPEN AS TO WHAT EXACTLY THEY WILL PUT THEIR.

AND WHAT WILL MAKE EVERYBODY HAPPY I AM SURE IS THAT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KEEPING UP WITH THIS, IT HAS SORT OF UNIFIED MY PART OF THE CITY, PEOPLE ARE REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT NOTE YOU CANNOT STOP PROGRESS, THAT THEY ARE CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT THIS KIND OF PROGRESS WILL LOOK LIKE. SO WITH THAT, THAT IS MY REPORT.

>> I HAVE NOT SPOKEN TO THE MAYOR REGARDING THAT ISSUE BUT I'M SURE THE AMERICAN COMMISSIONERS ARE VERY ON TOP OF THAT. THEY ARE MONITORING EVERYTHING VERY CLOSELY. THANK YOU.

RUPERT? >> GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE.

IT WAS TOO EARLY AT THE LAST MEETING TO SAY ANYTHING ABOUT MOTHER'S DAY. I WOULD LIKE TO WISH EVERYONE HAPPY MOTHERS WEEKEND HAPPY MOTHER'S MOM.

ALSO, TOO, I MUST COMMEND THE CITY OF PARKLAND, ESPECIALLY PARKLAND RECREATION BOARD. WE NOTE THIS PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS WE HAVE BEEN SEEING CRICKET BEING PLAYED IN THE PARK. CRITIC IS UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT.

ONLY A CERTAIN TYPE, OR GROUP OF PEOPLE THOSE FROM THE COMMONWEALTH AND FROM BRITAIN. WHEN I SAW THAT I SAID WOW, THIS IS VERY GOOD FOR DIVERSITY. NOW, I'M SORRY I HAVE TO END ON A HARSH NOTE. THE POPULAR RESERVE IS HAVING A LOT OF PROBLEM BETWEEN THE TWO SCHOOLS.

AND I SHOULD'VE BOUGHT A STRING OF E-MAILS THAT RESIDENTS WRITE ABOUT, THEY CANNOT GET OUT OF THEIR HOMES IN THE MORNING IN THE AFTERNOON. BECAUSE PARENTS FROM HERRIN DAY ARE PARKING ALONG INSIDE THE PARKLAND RESERVE AREA.

AND THAT IS SORT OF CAUSING PROBLEMS. THE LAST TIME I MENTIONED THIS, I THOUGHT THAT WE WERE GOING TO SPEAK WITH THE PRESENT TO THE SEE IF THEY COULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I HAVE NOT SEEN A LOT OF PATROLS COME THROUGH, BUT WE HAVE SOME TYPE OF ACCOMMODATION IN TERMS OF GETTING CARS IN PARKLAND RESERVE.

BECAUSE WE HAVE A TURN RIGHT SIGNAL, I CANNOT COME THROUGH BUT THEY ARE GOING DOWN AND THEY ARE COMING UP WITHIN THE PARKLAND RESERVE. I TALKED TO THE NEIGHBOR SUSPECTS WE, LIKE 12 AND ONE DAY.

I THINK I AM GOING TO HAVE TO SPEAK TO THE PRECINCT THIS EVENING TO SEE IF THEY CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

THANKS. >> EXCUSE MY IGNORANCE, WHAT SCHOOL? WHAT SCHOOL IS IT?

>> HERRIN HEIGHTS. THEY LIVE RIGHT IN BETWEEN BOTH.

>> THEY LIVE RABBITRY ABOUT THE WEATHER'S A TOP OF THE BOTTOM

THEY HAVE PROBLEMS. >> I SAW TODAY WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP MY DAUGHTER FROM DOUGLAS, I SAW THAT THEY DID HAVE A DEPUTY ON THE STREET AND MONITORING WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THE STREET. IN THAT AREA.

>> SORRY, SO I'D KNOW AT THE LAST MEETING THAT YOU HAD MENTIONED IT, I DIDN'T HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH BSO ABOUT THE SITUATION. AND THEY ASSURED ME THAT THEY WOULD TAKE A LOOK AT IT, BUT MY GUESS IS, THAT PROBABLY WHAT HAPPENS IS, THEY WILL GO OUT, AND THEY WILL BE THERE FOR A WHILE AND THERE WERE PEOPLE SEE THEIR MOVE THAT'S WHEN THEY COME BACK AGAIN. BECAUSE YOU MENTIONED IT AGAIN.

AND YOU HAVE SAID 12 E-MAILS AND ONE DAY I WILL ADDRESS IT WITH

THEM AGAIN. >> I THINK YOU MAY BE RIGHT.

I THINK IT MAY HAVE STARTED, BUT THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS, IT HAS

[7. Approval of the Agenda]

GOTTEN WORSE. >> OKAY NEXT WE HAVE THE

[00:15:05]

APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA, CAN I GET A MOTION TO APPROVE THE

AGENDA. >> SO MOVED.

>> CAN I HAVE A SECOND? >> SECOND.

>> ALL SIGNIFIED BY SAYING AYE. >> ANYONE OPPOSE? PLEASE NOTE IT PASSED UNANIMOUSLY, WE WILL GO ON TO

[9. Old Business]

NEW BUSINESS, AND I SEE WE HAVE NO NEW BUSINESS ON THE AGENDA THAT WAS EASY. AND NEXT ON THE AGENDA WE HAVE OLD BUSINESS. AND WE HAVE FROM TONIGHT WE HAVE, THE CONCLUSION ON DIVERSITY AND SUBCOMMITTEE UPDATE. AND WE HAVE PRESERVING PARKLAND HISTORY SUBCOMMITTEE UPDATE, WE HAVE THE YOUTH AMBASSADOR PROGRAM UPDATE, AND WE HAVE THE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT UPDATE. JACKIE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE OVER?

>> SURE THANK YOU, SO FIRST THE INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY SUBCOMMITTEE. THERE HAS NOT BEEN A SUBCOMMITTEE SINCE THE LAST CAAB MEETING.

SINCE OUR LAST MEETING, THE CITY COMMISSION HAS HAD THE CITY PLANNING. IN THE STRATEGIC PLANNING RETREAT, ONE OF THE ITEMS THAT WAS BROUGHT UP BECAUSE THE CAB BROUGHT IT UP TO THEM, IS THE INCLUSION OF MULTICULTURAL THEMES AND ONE OF THE FARMERS MARKETS.

AND THE CITY COMMISSION WAS EXCITED ABOUT THAT AND THAT IS SOMETHING THAT THEY AGREED TO MOVE ON IN THE BUDGET PROCESS.

AND TALKING WITH THE PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR, IF ALL OF THAT IS APPROVED, AND THE BUDGET PROCESS, THEN, THAT WOULD BE SCHEDULED FOR THE SECOND MARKET IN NOVEMBER.

IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A SEPARATE TENT AT THE EVENT, YOU KNOW, WHATEVER THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE WE WOULD BE HAPPY TO HELP FACILITATE THAT AS WELL. BUT WE ARE HAPPY THAT PARKS AND RECREATION HAS BEEN ABLE TO MOVE AROUND ALL OF THE THEMES AND FINDING JUST THE RIGHT SPOT FOR A MULTICULTURAL EVENT.

>> SO IS THAT GOING TO BE LIKE A CULTURAL ARTS TYPE THING? WILL WE BRING IN GROUPS TO DEMONSTRATE THE MULTICULTURAL?

>> SURE, JUST LIKE WE DO WITH ANY OF THE DIFFERENT THEMES, WHAT THEY WILL DO IS THEY WILL SOLICIT PEOPLE WHETHER THEY COMMIT OR THEIR VENDORS OF PRODUCTS OR FOOD OR WHAT EVER KIND OF OF TOPIC THAT THEY HAVE, THAT WOULD INVOLVE MULTICULTURAL REPRESENTATIVE WHETHER IT IS RELIGIOUS, OR WOULD RACE, OR COUNTRY. IT WOULD JUST BE OPEN TO EVERYBODY TO BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THEY WOULD

SOLICIT FOR THAT. >> SINCE THE CITY OF PARKLAND NOW HOLDS A TITLE OF BEING AN AUTISM FRIENDLY CITY.

I WOULD RECOMMEND IT MAY HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED OR THOUGHT OF ALREADY. THAT AUTISM, AND EXCEPTIONAL STUDENT EDUCATION, IS IN SOME WAY BE AND WITH THAT EVENT?

>> ABSOLUTELY WE WILL REACH OUT TO ALL OF THOSE GOODS AS WELL,

THANK YOU. >> IF I COULD ADD, THERE MAY BE AN OPPORTUNITY HERE, I NOTE TO MIKA'S NOT HERE TONIGHT, BUT IT MAY BE ABLE TO HEAR FROM HER AND HER GROUP, TO BE INVOLVED IN THAT EVENT. WE CAN HAVE THE BOOTH LIKE JACKIE SUGGESTED EARLIER. AND MAYBE WE COULD HAVE SOMETHING AT THE ACTUAL EVENT WITH THE GROUP AS WELL TOO.

>> THAT WILL BE GET CLOSER TO THAT EVENT, WE WILL TAKE NAMES

ON WHO WANTS TO BE A PART OF IT. >> THE LIBRARY ALWAYS HAS A TENSE, AND WE CAN CERTAINLY BRING OUT DIVERSITY BOOKS, AND HAVE A SPECIAL DISPLAY THAT GOES ALONG WITH THE THEME.

>> I JUST HAVE A QUESTION. SENT THE NAMING AND DESIGNATION HAS THERE BEEN ANY SITUATIONS WHICH HAVE ACCOMMODATED ANY BODY WITH AUTISM, HAS THERE BEEN ANY, I DO NOT.

>> I DO NOT HAVE ANY REPORTS OF A PARTICULAR REQUEST OF SITUATIONS. BECAUSE THIS HAS BEEN INGRAINED IN WHAT EMPLOYEES DO, THEY MAY NOT THINK TO SAY HEY, LET ME TELL SOMEBODY ABOUT THIS. WE HAVE GOTTEN SO MANY DIFFERENT PROGRAMS, THAT YOU KNOW, IT IS JUST KIND OF SECOND NATURE AT THIS POINT. BUT, IF I DO HEAR OF ANY I WILL

CERTAINLY REPORT THEM. >> BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE IT NOT TO BE ONE OF THOSE DESIGNATIONS THAT YOU GET THE DESIGNATION, AND NOBODY UTILIZES IT OR REMEMBERS IT AND STUFF LIKE

THAT. >> , NO, ABSOLUTELY, THIS IS PART OF US, AND WE CERTAINLY DO NOT INTEND FOR ANYTHING TO GO BY THE WAYSIDE. IT IS TRAINING THAT OUR EMPLOYEES RECEIVE, THERE WILL BE REGULAR RETRAINING'S.

AS A MATTER OF FACT BESIDES THE AUTISM TRAINING THAT WE HAVE, WE ARE GOING TO BE IMPLEMENTED THE CITY'S ADA PLAN COMING UP.

SO OUR EMPLOYEES WILL RECEIVE ADDITIONAL EDUCATION WHEN IT COMES OUT TO ACCOMMODATE ANYBODY SO THIS IS SOMETHING WE TAKE

SERIOUSLY. >> THANK YOU.

>> ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION SUBCOMMITTEE DEBATE? ALL RIGHT, NEXT WE HAVE THE PRESERVING PARKLAND MEETING UPDATE.

[00:20:01]

I KNOW MYSELF AND SHERRY AND TARA, AND DENISE, AND JEFF, WERE PART OF THAT COMMITTEE. AND WE GOT A LOT DONE.

IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, AND I THINK THAT EVERYBODY DID THEY HAVE A CHANCE TO READ THE BREAKDOWN AS FAR AS WHAT HAPPENED IN THE MEETING BECAUSE I KNOW THAT JACKIE & PUT TOGETHER PRETTY MUCH A GOOD TIMELINE OF EVENTS.

DID EVERYONE HAVE A CHANCE TO READ IT OTHER HIGHLIGHTS THAT YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT AS FAR AS GOING THROUGH EACH MODE OF THESE. IT IS UP TO YOU WHETHER YOU WANT

TO GO THROUGH THE MALL. >> SURE I WOULD JUST TOUCH ON IT A MINUTE LITTLE. I THINK THE GROUP DID A FANTASTIC TACIT JOB COMING TOGETHER AND DISCUSSING IT.

THE MORE THE IDEAS FLOW AND THE MORE THEY UNDERSTAND WHAT IS ABOUT. AND NOW I THINK WE ALL ARE GETTING A LITTLE BIT A LITTLE BIT MORE EDUCATED AS TO WHAT THOSE ARE AND HOW TO BUILD THEM. AND WHAT IS INVOLVED.

SO, THE GROUP AGREED ON THE CONCEPT OF PARKLAND 1,963.

THEY TALKED ABOUT THE BASE OF THE FLOAT, AND WITH EACH OF THESE ITEMS COME WE KIND OF DEFINE THE LEAD.

SO BILL IS GOING TO BE THE LEAD ON THE BASE OF THE FOLLOW, AND TALKING TO SOME PEOPLE ABOUT NOT ONLY WHAT THE LEAD VEHICLE WOULD BE. BUT THE IDEA OF HAVING THAT LEAD VEHICLE AND HAVING SOME VINTAGE CARS DRIVING BEHIND IT.

SO HE HAD VOLUNTEERED TO DO THAT.

FUNDING OF THE FLOAT, I KNOW CARRA HAD VOLUNTEERED TO BE THE LEAD ON THAT, AND ONE THINK THAT STAFF IS GOING TO FIND OUT, ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON SOLICITING FOR THE FUNDS? DESIGN OF THE FLOW, DENISE HAS TAKEN THE LEAD, AND SHERRY IS ALSO WORKING WITH THE KNEES ON THE DESIGN, AND VICE MAYOR CUTLER, WAS WOW, SUCH A WEALTH OF INFORMATION TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE ALL OF THAT ABOUT PARKLAND IN THE 60S.

AND, I AM SURE THERE IS PLENTY MORE THAT HE AND HIS FRIENDS FROM THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY WILL BE ABLE TO PROVIDE TO US ABOUT 1963 AND PARKLAND. VOLUNTEERS, AT THE LAST REGULAR CAB MEETING, KENDRA ED MENTIONED ME IS ASSISTING ON ORGANIZING VOLUNTEERS. BECAUSE YOU WERE NOT AT THE MEETING, I JUST WANTED TO ASK YOU TONIGHT IF YOU MIGHT BE

INTERESTED. >> SO I AM REALLY SORRY I MISSED THE BEGINNING E-MAIL ABOUT THAT MEETING.

>> IT WAS A SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING.

>> YES SO, I MISSED IT, SO I FEEL REALLY LEFT OUT.

I FEEL LIKE I MISSED OUT ON THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN TRAVELING AT THE TIME. SO, YES, I WOULD CERTAINLY LOVE TO HELP IT OUT GET SOME VOLUNTEERS.

I KNOW THAT LIKE MY LOCAL CHURCH WITH LOVE TO PARTICIPATE IN SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND I'M SURE OTHERS WILL ALSO.

>> WONDERFUL THANK YOU FOR THAT, AND I KNOW THAT ALSO WITH THE LAST REGULAR CAB MEETING, SHE HAD ALSO WANTED TO BE A VOLUNTEER, SO WE WILL MAKE SURE YOU GET HER CONTACT INFORMATION OKAY? AND WE HAD A SUGGESTION, AT THE UPCOMING FARMERS MARKET, THAT WE PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR RESIDENTS TO COME UP AND VOLUNTEER, SO MAYBE YOU WILL GET SOME PEOPLE COMING TO YOU AT A FARMERS MARKET THAT MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING FOR THAT AS WELL.

>> AND THEN ASSISTING THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY ON THE RECRUITMENT, IS SHERRY, ED HAS POINTED OUT EARLIER, VICE MAYOR CUTLER AND JEFF SWARTS HAVE DONE PRESENTATIONS FOR OTHER HOA'S.

AND THEY PLAN TO DO THE ROADSHOW TO GET THE INFORMATION OUT TO PEOPLE ABOUT PARKLAND'S HISTORY. SO WE HOPE THAT WILL BE REJUVENATING. FOR PEOPLE TO START THINKING ABOUT PARKLAND AND ITS HISTORY, AND BEING A PART OF THAT.

SO, ONE THING IS EIGHT TIMELINE, THAT WE ARE LOOKING AT, SO WE WOKE WE CREATE A TIMELINE FOR THE FLOAT MOVING FORWARD, AND FOR ANY OTHER COMMUNICATION THAT WE CAN HAVE ON GETTING COMMUNICATION OUT TO THE HOA. AND THANK YOU TO SHERRY ALSO, FIRT I DIDN'T KNOW IT ALREADY, I THINK THE DAY AFTER THE MEETING. YOU SENT SOMETHING OUT TO THE HOA BOARD PRESENCE OF THANK YOU AND THAT IS IT.

>> LET ME TELL YOU VICE MAYOR CUTLER, THE E-MAIL THAT YOU SENT OUT WAS SO IMPRESSIVE. HOW FAST HE GOT THAT OUT TO US.

HE REALLY, IT HAS A GRIP ON THIS.

>> THAT WAS PROBABLY OFF OF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD.

YES, I AM SURE. OKAY EXCELLENT, NEXT WE HAVE THE YOUTH AMBASSADOR PROGRAM UPDATE. WE HAVE 13 APPLICANTS?

>> WE DO, WE HAVE 13 APPLICANTS. KENDRA, THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT GETTING YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO MEET PARKLAND'S YOUTH AND HOW GREAT IT WAS TO HAVE THEM PARTICIPATE IN THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. THIS IS ANOTHER GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR YOUTH TO PARTICIPATE IN GOVERNMENT WITH

[00:25:01]

US. THIRTEEN APPLICATIONS, WE ARE LOOKING AT NARROWING THIS GROUP DOWN TO FIVE TO PARTICIPATE, SO I NOTE WITH SCHOLARSHIPS WE ADD MORE PEOPLE, AND WE AT A GROUP OF YOUTH THAT WERE LOOKING AT APPLICATIONS AND WE WILL WHITTLING DOWN TO A MANAGEABLE GROUP.

AND ANOTHER GROUP INTERVIEWING. IT IS UP TO YOU HOW YOU DO THIS.

MY RECOMMENDATION WOULD BE SINCE THERE IS ONLY 13, PERHAPS YOU INTERVIEW ALL 13. AND IT WOULD NOT NECESSARILY NEED TO BE ON THE SAME DAY, WE CAN DIVIDE IT INTO TWO DAYS.

THAT WAY IF YOU INTERVIEW ALL 13 OF THEM, YOU COULD ESTABLISH AN INTERVIEW PANEL FOR WHATEVER WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER FROM THE GROUP. AND WE COULD MAYBE DO THIS, I WOULD SAY THE LAST WEEK OF MAY OR THE FIRST WEEK IN JUNE, PREFERABLY LAST WEEK IN MAY. BECAUSE, WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO DO IS CAPTURE ALL OF THE KIDS WHILE THEY ARE HERE BEFORE THEY GO OFF INTO SUMMER THINGS. BUT ALSO DO IT AFTER TESTING OR WHEN THE TESTING IS DONE. SO I WILL OPEN THAT ALL FOR YOU

TO DECIDE. >> SO WITH THE APPLICATION PROCESS, ISN'T THERE AN APPLICATION THAT IS ALSO A LETTER OR SOMETHING THAT THEY PUT TOGETHER? NORMALLY WE WOULD HAVE WANT LOOK AT THE APPLICATION AND WE HAVE ANOTHER GROUP LOOKED AT THERE FOR THE INTERVIEW PROCESS.

IS IT A VOLUMINOUS AMOUNT OF INFORMATION? OR DO YOU THINK 13, WE COULD DO IT ONE TIME, AND IT CAN BE ONE GROUP LOOKING AT EVERYTHING? OR DO YOU WANT TO HAVE IT SEPARATE WHERE NO ONE LOOKS AT THE APPLICATION, AND ONE LOOKS

AT SOMEBODY DOES THE INTERVIEWS? >> IT IS UP TO YOU, IT IS NOT VOLUMINOUS. WHAT WE HAVE ASKED THEM FOR, IF THEY FILL OUT THAT FORM, THEY NEEDED A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FROM SOMEONE AT THE SCHOOL, A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FROM SOMEONE IN THE COMMUNITY.

AND THEY WROTE A 300 WORD ESSAY. AND THEY ALSO HAVE THEIR TRANSCRIPT SO WE CAN ENSURE THAT THEY, ARE YOU KNOW AT A CERTAIN GPA. SO IT IS NOT A WHOLE LOT, TO REVIEW. SO IT IS UP TO YOU, I KNOW WE WANT TO BE MINDFUL OF YOUR TIME. SINCE YOU ARE VOLUNTEERING YOUR

TIME TO DO THIS. >> WELL, THE BIGGER PART OF IT IS, WE ARE SELECTING FIVE LUCKY STUDENTS.

SO HAVING 13, AND TRYING TO WHITTLE IT DOWN TO ANOTHER NUMBER. WE JUST THAT IT WAS BEST THAT YOU GUYS SHOULD PROBABLY INTERVIEW ALL 13.

>> THE SOUND LIKE A GOOD IDEA. THE SAME PEOPLE DOING THE INTERVIEWING IF IT IS ONLY 300 WORDS, I'M ASSUMING THIS HAS TWO PAGES RIGHT? THAT'S NOT A LOT OF WRITING?

>> THAT AL COULD BE, AND A PART OF YOUR SCORING PRAYERS.

>> IF YOU DO EVERYTHING AHEAD OF TIME, AND DECIDE WHAT YOU IT WAS BEEN PROVIDED TO YOU AND MAKE A DECISION ON YOUR FILE.

>> BECAUSE I KNOW I WILL HAVE TO RECUSE MYSELF FROM THE PROCESS.

BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER IS PUT IN AN APPLICATION.

I WOULD RATHER STEP AWAY AND LET THE PROFESSIONALS DO THAT.

I GUESS I'M STILL TRYING TO THINK WHETHER OR NOT, WHO THEN ONLY AFTER THE INTERVIEW PROCESS FIVE PEOPLE RIGHT? I MEAN, DO YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE, HOW WILL WE PLAY IT OUT?

>> I THINK WE SAY 15 OR 20 MINUTES.

>> THE LAST TIME WE HAD THAT WE HAD LIKE 12.

WE RAN A PRETTY WELL BECAUSE IT WAS A SECOND TIME DOING THE EXERCISE BECAUSE GUYS ARE TRULY EFFICIENT.

IT LEFT YOU SOMETIMES FOR SOME QUESTIONS, AND WE WERE CHEERING VERY WELL FOR AGAIN THIS TIME AROUND IT WILL BE 13 IT WAS CLOSE TO WHAT WE HAD LAST TIME. AND WE WILL WRAPPED UP BY ABOUT 530. AND IT WENT PRETTY QUICK.

>> WHAT IS THE AGE? >> THEY ARE ALL GOING INTO

11TH GRADE. >> THIS IS FROM DIFFERENT

SCHOOLS? >> IT IS, YOU JUST NEED TO BE A PARKLAND RESIDENT GOING INTO 11TH GRADE.

WE HAVE THEM FROM SD AND NORTH BARROW PREP AND WE HAVEN'T OF

THE SCHOOL TO GO. >> ALL RIGHT SO I AM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS WHAT DO YOU GUYS FEEL AS FAR AS HAVING TWO SEPARATE COMMITTEES, ONE WITH THE APPLICATION, AND THE SAME COMMITTEE LOOKING AT BOTH? IF IT'S NOT A LOT OF

INFORMATION. >> I SUGGEST THAT WE DO DO THE SAME PROCESS THAT WE DO BEFORE WITH THE SCHOLARSHIPS.

ONE GROUP LOOK AT THE APPLE GROUP, AND THEN THE SECOND GROUP. AND WE CAN OVERLAP.

WE DO THE INTERVIEW? >> THERE'S TWO DIFFERENT

STORIES,. >> IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE MUCH, TO HAVE SOMEBODY SIT HERE, TO READ FROM STUFF, AND THEN LATER ON LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW AND TRY TO THINK BACK ON THE SCORING.

[00:30:01]

AT LEAST 11 COMMITTEE DOES THE SCORING FOR THE APPLICATION, WE SHOULD HAVE THE SCORE IS IN FRONT OF YOU AND YOU KNOW THAT

IS GOING. >> SO MAYBE HAVING ONE GROUP AND LOOK AT THE 13 APPLICATION INFORMATION, AND SAY THAT THESE ARE THE FIVE THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND OR HOWEVER YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO IT. AND THEN SEPARATE GROUP THAT DOES NOT LOOK AT THE BACKGROUND INFORMATION, BUT JUST AS AN

INTERVIEW? >> YEAH, I MEAN, THEY CAN SCORE, I DO NOT KNOW IF THEY SHOULD SCORE WHO THEY THINK THE TOP FIVE SHOULD BE. MAYBE JUST GIVE EVERYBODY A SCORE. AND MAKE THAT SCHOOL COMBINED WITH THE INTERVIEW SCHOOL, THE EGO.

>> THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT PROCESS, I WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND WE USE SOME SORT OF RUBRIC.

AND I VOLUNTEER TO SINCE I DID THE INTERVIEWS TO DO THE VALUATIONS OF THE APPLICATIONS. I WILL LET YOU HAVE SOME SORT OF RUBRIC TO WORK ON, SO THAT WE CAN GREAT EVERYONE AND EVALUATING EVERYONE I SHOULD SAY, I AM A COLLEGE PROFESSOR AND SO. SO EVALUATING ALL OF THE APPLICANTS BASED ON THE SAME EXACT CRITERIA SO IT IS FAIR.

>> WE CAN DO THAT. >> NOT A PROBLEM, WE WILL KEEP THAT PROCESS THE SAME. SO WE ARE NOT WHITTLING DOWN THE APPLICANT SO TO SPEAK WILL JUST HAVE A SCORING.

>> EXACTLY IS 13 VERSUS 26 YES, THAT GIVES EVERYBODY A FAIR

SHOT. >> SO I GUESS WE HAVE GOT OUR FIRST VOLUNTEER FOR EVALUATING THE APPLICATION AND THAT IS SHERRY. ON THE APPLICATIONS?

>> I WILL VOLUNTEER TO DO THE INTERVIEW.

>> I WILL DO THE INTERVIEWS, I WILL VOLUNTEER FOR THE

INTERVIEWS TOO. >> WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE KENDRA?

>> INTERVIEWS. >> INTERVIEWS, WONDERFUL.

WELL, WE DO HAVE TWO PEOPLE WHO ARE ABSENT, IF YOU BELIEVE THAT THEY MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN REVIEWING, THEN WE HAVE THAT.

>> WHAT DID YOU HAVE ME DOWN FOR?

>> I'M SORRY, FOR THE INTERVIEW? >> I WILL DO THE EVALUATION.

>> YOU WOULD RATHER DO THE EVALUATION, OKAY.

SO NOW WE HAVE THREE ON EACH. WE CAN DO THAT.

WE WILL TALK WITH ANGELICA AND WITH KAREN AND FIND OUT WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO DO AND WILL TAKE ONE ON EACH.

>> THEREFORE IN EACH? PERFECT.

>> THAT SOUNDS GOOD. OKAY, SO LOOKING FORWARD, YOU KNOW IF WE CAN'T ARRANGE FOR THESE APPLICANTS TO BE INTERVIEWED THE LAST WEEK OF MAY, YOU DO HAVE A JULY CAB BOARD MEETING. SO WHAT WE COULD DO, IS COME TOGETHER, AND HAVE YOU KNOW, ALL OF THE SCORING TOGETHER, AND WE COULD REVIEW THE FINALIST AND YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO DETERMINE WHO YOUR FIVE PEOPLE ARE. AND THEN THE AUGUST COMMISSION MEETING IS WENT THAT COULD BE PRESENTED TO COMMISSIONS SO THAT WE CAN START THE PROGRAM IN SEPTEMBER.

>> WE ARE REALLY EXCITED. FIRST THING IS FIRST, WE HAVE TO CREATE A PROGRAM I WILL BE HONEST WITH YOU GUYS THIS THE FIRST TIME DOING THIS EXERCISE AS WELL.

BUT WE HAD A STAFF MEETING AND WE BROUGHT IT UP.

DAY DEPARTMENTS ARE WHERE THE PROGRAM IS COMING AND WE HOPE FOR THE BEST FOR THE STUDENTS. WE ARE REALLYEXCITED.

>> WELL, I NOTE SEVERAL CANS WERE PUT IN APPLICATIONS, AND I CAN TELL YOU JUST FROM THE ONES THAT I KNEW OF, IT WILL BE A

PRETTY IMPRESSIVE GROUP. >> THEY ALWAYS HAVE.

>> AND PARKLAND IT ALWAYS JOINS THESE TYPES OF APPLICATIONS AND

STUFF,. >> OUR INTENTION IS TO BRING THEM TO A FEW OF THESE MEETINGS JUST SO YOU GUYS NOW, SO THEY WILL BE HERE FOR A COUPLE OF THESE MEETINGS.

>> OKAY. >> PERFECT, I GUESS NEXT WE HAVE THE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT UPDATE.

>> OKAY, SO TONIGHT WE HAVE RENEE HERRMANN FROM HARVEST DRIVE. I WILL GIVE YOU A FEW HANDOUTS THAT SHE PROVIDED TO ME, SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE THEM, BUT WE ARE GOING TO START OFF WITH A QUICK YOUTUBE VIDEO, SO YOU CAN SEE A LITTLE BIT FOR YOURSELF ABOUT THE PROGRAM.

[00:35:03]

HARVEST PRIDE IS LED BY TRYING TO FORM A, IT IS BETTER TO GIVE THAN RECEIVE. THE NONPROFIT HAS PROVIDED FOOD AND OTHER BASIC ESSENTIALS TO THE COUNTY'S MOST HONORABLE

RESIDENCE. >> BUT TONIGHT AS PART OF THE DAY OF GIVING CAMPAIGN, WE SHOW YOU WHY HARVEST DRIVE NEED YOUR

HELP. >> IS BETTER TO GIVE THAN RECEIVE, THE NONPROFIT PROVIDES FOOD AND OTHER BASIC ESSENTIALS TO BROWARD COUNTY'S MOST VULNERABLE RESIDENCE.

>> TONIGHT AS PART OF MY DAY OF GIVING CAMPAIGN, CALVIN SHOWS YOU WHY HARVEST DRIVE NEED YOUR HELP, TO CONTINUE TO MAKE A

DIFFERENCE. >> AND ALMOST 30 YEARS OF SERVING BROWARD COUNTY FAMILIES, HARVEST DRIVE HAS ROLLED WITH THE PUNCHES.

>> THIS YEAR WE ARE BACK IN ACTION AND WE ARE ROLLING ON THE ROLLER COASTER IS GOING REALLY QUICK.

>> A SMALL BUT MIGHTY TEAM. >> THIS IS THE WORKFORCE, AS YOU SEE HERE, IT IS TOTALLY THE TRUTH.

>> WITH FOUNDER RENÉ URMAN AT THE HELM, THE NONPROFIT BEGAN AS A SEASONAL FOOD DRIVE, TO THE LOCAL SCHOOL.

BEFORE IT EXPANDED EXPONENTIALLY.

>> WHAT WE HOPE TO DO AT LEAST A HUNDRED FAMILIES THIS YEAR WE HAVE 13 DISTRIBUTION SITES WITH ABOUT HIRING 80 VOLUNTEERING WITH THEIR STUDENTS ENGAGING THEM AND GIVING THEM

NONPERISHABLE ITEMS. >> NONPERISHABLE'S ARE MUCH

MORE. >> WERE ABLE TO HELP THEM IN CLOTHING, SMALL APPLIANCES, SHOES,.

>> HARVEST DRIVE IS A COURT AT WESTON HIGH SCHOOL IN DAVIE, WHERE IT TAKES UP THREE PORTALS. THANKFULLY THE DONATIONS OF CLOTHING AND LINENS ARE WELL STOCKED FROM FLOOR TO THE CEILING. BUT OTHER CRITICAL ITEMS ARE

SPARSE. >> WE NEED A LOT OF NONPERISHABLE FOOD. A LOT OF IT.

A LOT OF THANKSGIVING FOOD. >> LAST MARCH WHEN COVID-19 PANDEMIC WAS AT ITS PEAK. THE NONPROFIT MORPHED INTO A BIWEEKLY FOOD DISTRIBUTOR, TO MEET THE NEED.

>> WE WENT TWO WEEKS WE WILL PACED GROCERIES.

ABOUT 366 BAGS OF GROCERIES, ALMOST 10,000 I SENSE THAT FOR OUR FAMILY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY.

>> THAT INCREASE IN DEMAND IN THE CURRENT FOOD SUPPLY CRISIS MADE A HUGE DENT IN THE INVENTORY.

>> THOSE INDIVIDUAL ITEMS AND WE CANNOT GET THEM, YOU CAN GET

THEM, WE CANNOT. >> AS IT IS DONE FOR ALMOST

THREE DECADES,. >> THESE GIRLS ARE UNBELIEVABLE.

>> THE CORE TEAM REMAINS HOPEFUL THAT THE HARD WORK AND THE RIGHT ATTITUDE WILL ALWAYS YIELD A HARVEST.

>> WE USE EVERYTHING THAT WE GET TO DO THIS.

AND THAT IS HOW WE HAVE SUCCEEDED THROUGH THIS LAST YEAR END A HALF, AND FOR THE PAST 28 YEARS, THIS IS WHAT WE DO.

>> IF YOU LIKE TO HARVEST DRIVE IS DOING, YOU CAN HELP THEM BUY MORE THINGS LIKE THANKSGIVING FOOD STAPLES.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SCAN THE QR CODE TO GO TO THE DAY OF GIVING PAGE ON THE WEBSITE. WITH THE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE A SAFE AND SECURE DONATION, ONE 100% OF YOUR GIFT, Q GO TO FEET SOUTH FLORIDA FAMILIES. THIS UPCOMING THANKSGIVING.

>> THANK YOU FOR HAVING US HERE TONIGHT AND FOR THE YEARS I'VE KNOWN WORK MCSHERRY KEMBLE AVENUE NUMBER FOR A LONG TIME.

WE CANNOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOU. WHEN WE STARTED THIS 30 YEARS AGO I STARTED AT AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WERE MY KIDS WENT.

IT WAS AT THAT POINT TO GIVE BACK.

BUT MY MISSION I THINK IS EVERY SAYS WHAT WAS YOUR VISION? I WANTED TO TEACH KIDS AT A YOUNG AGE THAT THEY CAN'T GET BACK A LITTLE BIT. NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION IS.

SO WE STARTED REALLY SMALL OUT BASICALLY.

EVERY YEAR WHICH IS KIND OF BEGAN GROWING AND GROWING.

SO, WE ARE IN OUR 30TH YEAR, AND WE ARE IN 14 MAJOR

[00:40:03]

DISTRIBUTION SITES THROUGHOUT THANKSGIVING DURING THE HOLIDAYS. WE ARE IN ALL SCHOOLS.

REFERRALS ARE CONFIDENTIAL THEY ARE BROWARD COUNTY SOCIAL WORKERS. WE WORK YEAR AROUND AND WE'VE BEEN PRETTY TIRED YESTERDAY TODAY WE PACKED DURING COVID-19, WE KNEW WE HAD TO COME TO THE PLATE AND DO SOMETHING FOR OUR FAMILIES IN OUR SCHOOLS, AND WE WERE PACKING GROCERIES 336 FAMILIES EVERY TWO WEEKS. NOW WE PUSH BACK A LITTLE BIT, AND WE DO IT ONCE A MONTH. AND WE FINISHED TODAY ANOTHER PROJECT, AND WE HAVE DIFFERENT AGENCIES, AND DIFFERENT SCHOOLS AND SOCIAL WORKERS COMING TO PICK UP FOR THEIR FAMILIES.

BUT I HAVE TO TELL YOU, OVER THE YEARS WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH THE MIDDLE AND PARKLAND, AND THE SUCCESS OF STORIES FROM THAT SCHOOL ARE JUST AMAZING. IT IS ABOUT GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY, AND WE ARE AND 14 DISTRIBUTION SITES ALL OVER BROWARD COUNTY. BUT THE LOVE AND THE SUPPORT THAT COMES WITH THAT SCHOOL, FROM THE CHILDREN, THAT ARE LEARNING TO GET BACK, AND THEN MOVING ON TO STROBE IN DOUGLAS OR WHEREVER THE JOURNEY IS TAKING THEM.

IT REALLY TAKES YOU TO THAT HEART STRING.

WE HEAR STORIES FROM WHEN I WE GOING TO DO IT WHEN WE GO TO SIGN UP? THIS IS DURING THE SUMMIT THAT COMING BACK TO MISS MCGUIRE WHEN WE STARTED? AND THAT IS OUR TAKEBACK. HAVING LUNCH WITH A GIRL TO TOMORROW WENT TO THE PROGRAM SINCE KINDERGARTEN.

SHE MOVED ON AND BECAME A TEACHER IN DAVIE.

AS YOU CAME UP TO ME AND SAID YOU HAVE TAKEN ME A LONG WAY, BUT I AM NOT SURE I WANT TO BE A TEACHER I THINK I WANT TO BE A NURSE. SO SHE JUST GRADUATED WITH A BS AND SHE IS A REGISTERED NURSE, AND SHE IS MOVING ON, AND SHE'S GOING TO TELL ME ABOUT HER NEXT JOURNEY.

BUT THESE ARE KIDS WHO LEARNED. AND A LOT OF THESE KIDS BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AND BROWARD COUNTY, A RECIPIENT FAMILIES.

WHY? THEY UNDERSTAND.

THEY UNDERSTAND WHAT THE COMMUNITY OF PARKLAND HAS BEEN SO SUPPORTIVE TO WHAT WE DO. THE UNDERSTANDING, I KNOW, THIS IS HOW I START AND PEOPLE ALWAYS SAID NO TO ME FOR MANY YEARS, NO ONE NEEDS CLOSE NO ONE NEEDS FOOD ALL YEAR.

IF YOU HEAR OUR STORY, IT DOES NOT MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE, YOU CAN LIVE IN WESTON AND YOU CAN LIVE IN DAVIE AND OR PARKLAND OR CORAL SPRINGS, THERE IS SOMEONE THAT NEEDS.

AND WE KNOW THAT BECAUSE WE DO NOT STOP.

SO, WE WANT TO THANK YOU. WE HOPE THAT WE CAN'T CONTINUE.

WE HAVE BEEN IN THE FARMERS MARKET AND THE HALLOWEEN THINGS HERE. BUT, WE ARE REALLY LOOKING FOR GENTLY USED YOU KNOW CLOTHING ESPECIALLY CHILDREN'S CLOTHING.

ANY KIND OF GENTLY USED DISHES AND POTS AND PANS.

WE AND AS WE KNOW A CRISIS NOW. OUR GAS, IT IS SO HIGH PEOPLE HAVE TO LIVE IN THEIR CAR. THE STORY THAT THEY HAVE GOTTEN FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS. OUR JUST CARE TERRIBLE.

SO WE NEED YOUR HELP. WE NEED THESE ITEMS THAT YOU SEE ON THE FLYERS. WE ARE LOOKING FOR NONPERISHABLE NOT EXPIRED FOOD, ANYTIME AND IT IS GOING RIGHT HERE IN THE COMMUNITY OF PARKLAND. WE SHARE IT WITH EVERYBODY, EVERYBODY IS PART OF IT, WE HAVE ALL OF OUR DIFFERENT COMMUNITIES, DIFFERENT ROTARIES, SO MANY PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE PAST 30 YEARS. BUT WITH YOUR HELP, WE HAVE REALLY CONTINUE TO HAVE YOUR SUPPORT AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE RIGHT HERE IN THE CITY OF PARKLAND.

>> LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION, WHEN THEY DID THIS DOCUMENTARY,

THE NEWS, DID IT HELP? >> IT HELPS, THERE ARE A FEW OTHER VIDEOS. THEY DO THIS, THEY GIVE CHANNEL TEN ONCE A YEAR, AND WE ARE GRACIOUSLY EVERY SINGLE YEAR, AND SOMEONE TOLD US THE OTHER DAY, BY ACTUALLY CHILDREN SERVICES COUNSELOR, THEY SAID YOU HAVE TO REALIZE THAT ALMOST 30 YEARS LATER, WHY YOU ARE WHERE YOU ARE? WHY, BECAUSE NONE OF US GET PAID WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS WE ONLY HAVE ONE PART-TIME EMPLOYEE. WE ARE DOING TWO THINGS, NOT ONLY AREN'T WE ASSISTING OTHER COMMUNITIES IN BROWARD COUNTY, BUT WE ARE TEACHING KIDS WHAT IT IS TO GIVE BACK.

WHEN YOU HAVE KIDS COME BACK INTO THE PROGRAM AFTER THEY HAVE GONE TO HIGH SCHOOL, THEY GO TO COLLEGE AND THEY COME HOME EARLY FOR THANKSGIVING. FOR ME, THAT IS MY I HAVE TO DO MORE. I GET ENERGIZED TO SEE THESE KIDS BACK IN THE ROOM AGAIN DOING THIS SO WARMLY DID THIS LOCAL THING. AND THEY OWE EXPECT US TO BE ONE OF THEIR RECIPIENTS, LAST YEAR THEY CAME IN WITH A TRUNK FULL OF STUFF LIKE GOYA PRODUCTS, THEY GIVE US MONEY.

AND THEN WHAT HAPPENS IS THEY COME OUT TO EVERY SINGLE STORE

[00:45:02]

THAT PEOPLE WHO WERE PACKED, AND PEOPLE ARE SHOPPING.

AND WE GIVE THEM OUR LIST, AND THEY GO AHEAD AND BUY IT.

SO IT IS VERY GOOD FOR US. >> I HAVE A QUESTION, IS THERE A WAY THAT WE CAN GET THIS VIDEO SO I CAN SHARE IT ON FACEBOOK?

>> YES. >> THAT IS NUMBER ONE, AND THAT IS NUMBER TWO, IF YOU'VE EVER HEARD OF CNN HEROES STORY I THINK YOUR GROUP SHOULD BE NOMINATED FOR THAT.

>> I WOULD LOVE THAT THANK YOU SO MUCH.

>> I DO NOT KNOW, I HAVE CHILLS, THAT WOULD BE EXACTLY.

AND THAT THINGS ARE GOING FROM THAT.

>> JUST LATELY, TODAY WE FINISHED PACKING, AND PUTTING THE GROCERIES IN THE CAR THE GROCERIES ARE GONE FROM WHAT WE ARE BACK FROM YESTERDAY AND TODAY AND THEY ARE IN SOME SENSE ALREADY. AND WHEN YOU GET THAT BAG OF GROCERIES, WE TELL EVERYBODY. IT IS 26 POUNDS OF NON- STAPLE FOOD. SO THE PARENT OPENS UP AT THIS PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY YOU KNOW STUFF WE ALL TAKE FOR GRANTED.

AND THEY LIKE WOW, AND SO NOW I CAN BUY CHICKEN FOR DINNER.

BECAUSE I HAVE EVERYTHING ELSE TO GO.

OR, MIKE TYER IS NOT BEEN ON THE COT, SO NOW I AM ALL THE STUFF, THAT I CAN FEED MY FAMILY FOR DURING THE WEEK.

SO THESE ARE THE STORIES THAT WE ARE GETTING.

JUST EVERY DAY THERE IS SOMETHING.

A SICK CHILD, YOU KNOW WE WORK WITH JOE DIMAGGIO AND CHILDREN'S SERVICE AND HARD ROCK, AND WITH FLORIDA PANTHERS, WE ALL COME TOGETHER AS A GROUP, BECAUSE WHY E ARE DOING IT AND E TEACHING THE KIDS. THE KIDS, AT WEST LAKE, STONEMAN DOUGLAS, ALL OF THE SCHOOLS HERE IN PARKLAND HAVE BEEN SO SUPPORTIVE TO US. WE JUST WANT TO HELP OUR KIDS.

>> IT IS AMAZING TO WALK INTO WESTLAKE WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING, TO SEE THAT ORATORY THEM, KIDS EVERYWHERE.

>> AND YOU KNOW, WE HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR SO LONG EVERY TIME I WALK INTO A DIFFERENT SCHOOL, I STARTED SMALL AT AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. AND WE HAVE 14 BIG SITES LIKE THIS, AND EVERY SINGLE SCHOOL IN BROWARD COUNTY COLLECTS FOR THEIR DISTRIBUTION SITE. SO WESTLAKE ERA PARKLAND IS THE DISTRIBUTION SITE, BUT WE HAVE ALL THE SCHOOLS IN THE SURROUNDING AREA COLLECTING TO ASSIST FAMILIES IN PARKLAND FROM WESTLAKE. EVERY TIME I WALK INTO A DIFFERENT SCHOOL, AND I SEE THE CRAZINESS, YOU SEE THE KIDS.

AND THERE PACKING HIS BAGS, THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY CAN BE FOR THEIR FRIENDS. AND THEY ARE ALL DOING IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COUNTY. I HAVE TO TAKE A SETBACK SOMETIME AND SAY, IT IS THE KIDS.

WE WERE TALKING ABOUT TODAY ABOUT TWO SUPERSTAR KIDS IN THEIR JOURNEY. WE ARE ALL HERE FOR THE SAME REASON. FOR THE COMMUNITY, FOR OUR KIDS, JUST TO DO GOOD. WHEN YOU ARE DOING GOOD, THAT'S WHAT WE ARE ABOUT. AND WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOU AND

ALL THAT YOU DO FOR US. >> AND WE APPRECIATE YOU.

>> THANK YOU. >> SO I KNOW THE GENESIS OF BRINGING RENE AND HER GROUP HERE.

THERE IS SOME CONVERSATION THAT YOU ALL HAD, AND I BELIEVE RUPERT HAD BROUGHT UP THE IDEA OF A CLOTHING DRIVE FOR BUSINESS CLOTHING. SO, YOU KNOW I DO KNOW WHERE YOU WOULD LIKE TO GO WITH THIS? BUT IT LOOKS LIKE HARVEST DRIVE HAS SEVERAL DIFFERENT TYPES OF PROJECTS AND SEVERAL DIFFERENT THINGS THAT THEY COLLECT. SO IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE ON A PROJECT THAT WE WILL OPEN AT UP TO YOUR DISCUSSION ON THAT.

>> WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU SEE PEOPLE NEEDING

RIGHT NOW? >> CHILDREN'S CLOSINGS, BOYS AND GIRLS. ESPECIALLY BOYS, THE BOYS GO

THROUGH CLOTHING LIKE CRAZINESS. >> BOYS CLOTHES, SHOES, SHE RUNS

OUR BOUTIQUE. >> NONPERISHABLE'S. AND TOILETRIES, SO EVERY TIME WE HAVE A PACKET, DURING COVID-19, WE COULD NOT ENGAGE THE KIDS

[00:50:01]

THEY WERE NOT SCHOOL. SO HOW WE WERE GOING TO ENGAGE THE KIDS? HOW WE DO IT? AN ATTORNEY WAS SUCH A LONG TIME.

SO I HAD THIS IDEA TO GO AROUND TO ALL THE SCHOOLS, AND WE HAVE ALL THESE KIDS, AND THEY WENT TO THE DOLLAR STORE.

THEY HAVE COUPLE FAMILIES THAT JUST ORDER IT ONLINE, THEY PICK IT UP AT THE DOLLAR TREE, THEY PUT SEVEN ITEMS IN TWO AND HALF GALLON ZIPLOC. AND I CAN TELL YOU WHAT OUR PREMISE THINK OF THIS. THIS TO THEM AS A GIFT.

DID SHAMPOO, CONDITIONING, TOOTHBRUSH, TOOTHPASTE.

THEY GET THE GROCERIES PLUS A TOILETRY BAG.

SO THAT'S OUT ON THE PROJECT. IT'S NOT EXPENSIVE, CAN BE READ FROM THE DOLLAR TREE, TOILETRIES NONPERISHABLE'S FOOD ITEMS, CHILDREN'S CLOTHING AND INFANTS CLOTHING.

>>

>> FIRST LET ME SAY THANKS FOR COMING, IS NOT WHAT I KNEW BEFORE. YES, AND OF COURSE I DID HAVE A CONVERSATION LAST MONTH ABOUT THE PROJECT WHICH WE WERE TRYING TO YOU KNOW TO GET OFF OF THE GROUND HERE.

AND WE ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO TALK ABOUT THIS BECAUSE, NOW THAT I SEE THE SECOND PAGE, I DID NOT KNOW THE EXTENT TO WHICH YOU NEED CLOTHING. FOR ME I THOUGHT IT WAS MOSTLY FOOD. BUT NOW THAT I HAVE SEEN THE SECOND PAGE YOU HAVE NEEDS FOR OTHER THINGS.

>> SO FOR US WE DON'T WANT TO JUST GO TO GET THIS OUT TO INDIVIDUAL. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE COMING FROM PARKLAND AND PARKLANE COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD. AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WE WANT TO RECOMMEND FOR THEM TO GET INVOLVED WITH.

SO WE WILL CONTINUE THIS DISCUSSION.

SO AGAIN WITH THAT MEMBERS OF THE SPORT AND I PROMISE YOU.

YOU WILL HEAR FROM US IN THE FUTURE ABOUT THIS.

>> THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU MADE OUR WHOLE ENTIRE DAY.

>> WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE US DO IS, MAYBE, BECAUSE WE ALWAYS TALK ABOUT HOW DO WE GET TO THESE PEOPLE? AND WE GET TO THESE PEOPLE TO THE HOA, AND IF WE CAN GET THIS LIST, TO EVERY HOA, AND HAVE A BOX, WILL HAVE SOMETHING SET UP WITH THESE PEOPLE CAN COME WATCH HOW FAST PEOPLE CLEAN OUT THEIR CLOSETS. THEY WANT TO CLEAN OUT THE CLOSETS AND WE HAVE A LOT OF GOOD PEOPLE IN PARKLAND.

AND I KNOW PERSONALLY, BETWEEN MY SON AND MY DAUGHTER, THAT THE CHRISTMAS GIFTS THAT THEY GET, AND THE BIRTHDAY GIFT THAT THEY GET IN A LOT OF THINGS DO NOT FIT THEM.

IF WE HAVE THE MEMES TO BRING IT TO A BOX AND PUT IT IN THERE.

YOU KNOW WE CAN HAVE SOMEBODY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS AND EACH OF

[00:55:04]

THOSE HOA'S. WE CAN GET TO A LOT OF PEOPLE

THAT WAY. >> ANYBODY INVOLVED WITH KIDS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. AND HAVE THEM PUT IT OUT THERE,.

>> THAT'S WHAT WE ALWAYS THINK ABOUT HOW CAN THE KIDS DO SOMETHING? THAT IS A GREAT IDEA, BECAUSE AS WE KNOW PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW WHICH GIVE IT TO.

IS IT GOING TO BE IN OF THE SMALL CHILD OF CHILD.

THEY GO THROUGH CLEATS, MY GRANDSON WENT TO CLEATS FOR ONE SEASON DONE DEAL BUT WHEN YOU DO WITH THEM YOU GIVE THEM TO THE HARVEST. AND THEY ARE DUE.

>> I KNOW I BLANKET MY SON NEEDS ANOTHER PAIR YES IT IS CRAZY.

>> I HAVE A LOGISTICS QUESTION FOR RENÉE? IF THERE WERE SOMETHING WHERE YOU PUT OUT BOXES FOR EACH OF THE HOA'S, DO YOU HAVE SOMEBODY WHO CAN PICK THOSE THINGS UP?

>> SHERRY AND I WILL WORK TOGETHER ON SOME THINKING AND HOW WE CAN DO IT, AND YES WE CAN DO THAT.

>> I THINK FOR THE HOA, THE PRESIDENT'S COUNCIL, IT WOULD BE BEST IF IT CAME FROM THE CITY. JUST FOR STANDING PURPOSES.

IF IT CAME FROM THE CITY, AND WAS PUT OUT TO THE HOA PRESIDENTS TO DISSEMINATE, SOME OF THE HOA'S DO NOT HAVE CLUBHOUSES. AND IN THE CASE OF BARA LAGO IN PRESCOTT OAK. WE HAVE CLUBHOUSES BUT WE DON'T HAVE CONTROL OVER THOSE CLUBHOUSES THAT ARE OWNED BY THE DEVELOPER. SO THAT MIGHT REQUIRE YOU KNOW SOMEONE OFFERING THEIR GARAGE, OR WHAT HAVE YOU.

IN THE PAST, WHAT THE CITY DID, WHICH WORKED REALLY NICELY, WAS THEY HAD A DROP-OFF CENTER AT THE KEY RACK.

AND THEN ANYONE IN THE CITY WHETHER IT WAS POINT PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT DEVELOPMENTS OF FAMILIES WHO STEPPED UP ANYONE COULD BRING TO THE PAY RACK ALSO THE FARMERS MARKETS WERE COLLECTION SITES, THOSE ARE ALSO GOOD IDEAS THAT WERE SUCCESSFUL THAT WORKED IN THE PAST AND WE WERE THINKING ABOUT REPEATING THAT. THAT'S JUST AN IDEA.

>> SO WE DID THE FIRST GO AROUND OF THE HARVEST DRIVE.

AS YOU ALL KNOW, WE WERE GOING THROUGH IT.

SO WE ALL MADE IT A FOCUSED EVENT WHICH WAS A THANKSGIVING EVENT WITH THE HARVEST DRIVE. SO IT WORKED WELL BECAUSE A LOT OF THE CITY FACILITIES WERE NOT BEING USED AS MUCH OF THAT TIME.

I LIKE THE IDEA OF THE HOA'S AND IF WE GET THEM TO WORK TOGETHER AND IF WE NEED TO INCORPORATE THE CITY WE DO AT THAT POINT.

BUT I LIKE THAT IDEA BECAUSE AT THAT POINT YOU HAVE A REPETITIVE ACTION OF COLLECTION WILL PICK UP.

ALSO, TO ALSO SPEARHEAD RUPERT'S ORIGINAL IDEA.

YOU COULD STILL DO A SINGULAR EVENTS FOR THE CLOTHING OPPORTUNITY. AND JUST PUT AN IDEA OUT THERE.

AND THAT COULD INVOLVE THE CITY SOMEHOW.

SO WE COULD BRING OUT LOGISTICS AND MAY BE WHY JUST DOING A CONTINUOUS EVENT FOR THE FOOD AND IT TOILETRIES.

AND THEN THE CLOTHING DRIVE COULD BE A SINGULAR EVENT THAT YOU HAVE A FOCUS WHERE WE ACTUALLY DRUM UP INTEREST FOR THE EVENTS LIKE WE DID LAST TIME WHERE PEOPLE COME AND DROP THE CLOTHING OFF AFTER THE HARVEST I WAS PICKING UP CLOTHING.

IT IS JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT. >> IT IS A LOT SIMPLER FOR THE CITY TO A IF A ONE-DAY EVENT, AND HAVE ALL THAT TAKEN CARE OF AT ONE TIME BECAUSE WE JUST DON'T HAVE THE FACILITIES AS SOMEONE SAID TO STORE FOR ANYWHERE.

DURING COVID-19 THE GYM WASN'T BEING IS IT WAS PERFECT.

>> YOU KNOW IT WOULD BE GREAT IF WE HAD A LOCAL BUSINESS THAT WOULD LIKE A STARBUCKS I'M JUST THROWING IT OUT THERE, LIKE SOMEBODY THAT WOULD GIVE LIKE 10% OFF YOUR TICKET IF YOU BRING DROP OFF CLOSE YOU KNOW, GIVE THEM SOME TYPE OF INCENTIVE YOU KNOW AND A LOT OF PEOPLE LIKE INCENTIVES, SO YOU KNOW.

>> OR MAYBE IF THEY COULD BE A PITCH OF THE DEPARTMENT CHAMBER

OF COMMERCE. >> I WOULD JUST GOING TO SAY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS DOING A LOT MORE.

AND THEY MIGHT VERY MUCH WELCOME THAT SUGGESTION.

WILL BRING IT UP. >> ALL RIGHT DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS? ALL RIGHT, WHAT I GLAD WE STARTED THAT TOPIC. WE HAVE TO KEEP MOVING FORWARD

WITH IT. >> A WONDERFUL PARTNERSHIP AND WE ARE HONORED TO HAVE YOU WORK WITH THE CITY AGAIN.

IT IS AMAZING. YOU'RE AMAZING AND YOUR TEAM IS AMAZING, AND WHAT YOU DO IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE.

[10. Comments from Staff]

[01:00:05]

>> EXCELLENT, OKAY NEXT WE HAVE COMMENTS FROM THE STAFF.

AND I KNOW THAT ONE OF THE COMMENTS THAT YOU WANT TO SPEAK ABOUT IS ONE OF THE PORTALS. APARTMENTS PASS PROJECT UPDATE.

>> SURE, I JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT STAFF MET WITH BLACK -- MATTE BLANK WITH FAST SIGNS REGARDING THE PORTALS.

HE IS ALSO A PARKLAND RESIDENT HE IS ALSO EXCITED FOR US TO REACH OUT TO HIM TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS PROJECT.

HE UNDERSTANDS WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR WITH THE PORTAL SIGNS, SO WHAT HE IS GOING TO DEVELOP IS TWO DIFFERENT SAMPLES, THAT HE CAN PROVIDE TO US TO TAKE A LOOK AT.

WHETHER IT IS IT IS HARD TO THINK ABOUT IT, AND JUST ONE THING, BUT IT IS WHAT A POST WOULD LOOK LIKE, AND WHAT THE ACTUAL SIGNED PIECE WOULD LOOK LIKE.

BECAUSE THERE IS SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS THAT YOU GUYS CAN DO IT. WHETHER IT BE ROUND OR SQUARE, AND DIFFERENT SHAPES AND DIFFERENT MATERIALS.

SO, HE IS DEVELOPING THOSE TOO AND HE WILL BRING THOSE TO US IN

THE FUTURE. >> I WILL ADD TO THAT THE WE GET LUCKY? SO WE REACHED OUT FOR SOME QUOTES, AND WE FOUND OUT HE IS A PARKLAND RESIDENT.

HE IS EXCITED AND HE'S GIVEN US THAT PART OF THE PROJECT FOR FREE. SO WE ARE GETTING SAMPLES FOR FREE. ONCE WE GET IT GENERATED UP, WE WILL SEE WE WILL LEAD FIRST WITH THEIR HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND GETTING FEEDBACK AND WE WILL MOVE THOSE.

AT A FUTURE MEETING FOR YOU TO SEE IT AND KIND OF GIVE YOUR INPUT AS WELL. BUT IT IS TRENDING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. WITH REGARDS TO THE GIS PROJECT, UNFORTUNATELY WE DID NOT GET THE KIDS TO PARTICIPATE.

BUT WE WENT AHEAD AND WE CONTRACTED A PRIVATE FIRM THAT IS WORKING ON THE GIS MAPPING FOR US.

SO HOPEFULLY, BY THE TIME THAT YOU GUYS ARE IN A MEETING IN SEPTEMBER, THAT PAGE IS CLOSED TO THE POINT WHERE WE CAN PROVIDE SOMETHING FOR YOU GUYS TO TAKE A LOOK AT.

>> EXCELLENT. YES THANK YOU JACKIE.

>> I KNOW I'VE BEEN WITH YOU GUYS FOR THE BETTER PART OF 18 MONTHS. BUT THE CITY IS CALLING ME TOO DO OTHER THINGS. AND JACKIE IS GOING TO TAKE OVER AS THE LIAISON FOR THE CAB. JACKIE HAS BEEN WITH THE CITY SINCE 2018 AND SHE WAS HIRED AS HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR.

IN MARCH OF 2020, SHE ADDED THE DIRECTOR OF LIBRARY TO THE RESPONSIBILITIES, SHE WAS PROMOTED TO SENIOR DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS IN MARCH OF 2022.

RETAIN IN THE DIRECTORSHIP OF THE PART LIBRARY.

JACKIE HAS A BACHELOR'S DEGREE AND MASS COMMUNICATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA. AND A MASTERS DEGREE OF BUSINESS MISTREATED FROM FAR ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY.

SHE HAS WORKED MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT FOR ALL OF HER CAREER. AND NOW SHE REPRESENTS A SPECIFIC FIELD BY SERVING AS THE PRESIDENT OF THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR HUMAN RESOURCES.

ALSO JACKIE IS THE PROUD PARKLAND RESIDENT AND SHE WILL SERVE YOU WELL. AUNT I AM SAD TO GO, I WILL STILL BE INVOLVED, BECAUSE A LOT OF THESE PROJECTS I STARTED I CAN JUST LET THEM GO THAT'S NOT MY NATURE.

BUT IT HAS BEEN A PLEASURE WORKING WITH YOU GUYS AND HOPEFULLY I WILL CONTINUE TO WORK WITH A FEW GUYS AS WE MOVE

ON SOME THANK YOU. >> WE WILL MISS YOU, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE BELIEVE ME IT IS AMAZING.

DO YOU SLEEP? I DO NOT KNOW?

>> ON SUNDAYS. >> WE CANNOT THINK OF ANYBODY BETTER TO REPLACE YOU, AND I'M SURE SHE AS YOU AND FALLS BACK ON JUST BECAUSE SHE NEEDS ANYTHING AND I WILL AS WELL.

BUT THANK YOU AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE.

>> WITH THAT SAID I WANT TO THANK EVERYBODY WITH BEING HERE

TODAY. >> WHERE YOU GOING?

>> I HAVE TO SUPPORT THE CITY MANAGER MORSE WAS BEARABLE.

>> CHEERS TO YOU BOTH. >> THANK YOU.

>> THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING HERE TONIGHT, AND BEING PART OF A SPECIAL PLACE FOR ALL OF US. LET ME SEE THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE JULY 12, AND OUR REGULAR TIME IS 6:00 P.M.

WITH THAT BEING SAID, DO I HAVE A MOTION TO ADJOURN?

>> SO MOVE. >> A SECOND?

>> IS ANYBODY OPPOSE? OKAY, WE ARE NOW ADJOURNED THANK

YOU ALL FOR COMING. >> THANK YOU LADIES FOR BEING HERE AS WELL, THANK YOU SIR FOR BEING HERE AS
