PUBLIC. DO WE HAVE ANY COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC?

>> I HAVE ONE. THIS FROM NATHANIEL CLIFFORD. COMMISSIONERS THIS IS PUBLIC COMMENT FROM NATHANIEL CLIFFORD FROM WATERSIDE COURT IN PARKLAND.

HAPPY DECEMBER TO YOU ALL. I COULDN'T ATTEND I WANT TO AGAIN EXPRESS THE COMMENTS I RAISED AT THE LAST TWO COMMISSION MEETINGS REGARDING THE CONDITIONS THAT CONTINUE IN ALL THE COMMUNITIES IN NORTHWEST PARKLAND. OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE WEDGE.

IT CONTINUES TO BE A CRITICAL IMPORTANCE TO OUR COMMUNITY AS WHOLE THAT THE CITY EXERCISE ALL APPROPRIATE RIGHT AND REMEDIES TO ADDRESS THIS SYSTEMIC FAILURES OF THE DEVELOPER OF ALL THE COMMUNITIES. AT THE LAST COMMISSION MEETING DIRECTION WAS GIVEN TO STAFF AND CITY ATTORNEY FOR DISCUSSION AT DECEMBER 16TH MEETING. AND I'M SURE MANY FROM OUR NEIGHBORHOOD WILL BE PRESENT TO SPEAK ON THOSE OPTIONS. IN THE MEANWHILE AFTER SPEAKING WITH A NUMBER OF OUR NEIGHBORS I WANTED TO EXPRESS MY THANKS AND COMMUNITY THANKS THE ENTIRE XHOOU VIEW PURSUING APPROPRIATE REMEDY FOR A SIGNIFICANT PRIORITY.

WHAT IMPACTS ONE AREA OF PARKLAND IMPACTS OUR SPIRE CITY. YOUR DEDICATION TO UR COMMUNITY

IS APPRECIATED. THANK YOU. >> ANY OTHER COMMENTS?

CONGRATULATIONS. THANK YOU FOR COMING. NICE TO MEET YOU ALL.

>> ANY OTHER COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC? >> AS I SEE NO COMMENTS FROM THE

PUBLIC WE WILL GO TO COMMISSION. WE'LL START COMMISSIONER ISRAEL. >> THANK YOU .

I WANT TO THANK ALISON. SHE'S THE MASTER CLERK. I WANT TO CONGRATULATE HER.

I WANT TO TALK A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT THANKS GIVING THE RECENT HOLIDAY.

PRETTY MUCH WROUGHT WITH STRESS AND ANXIETY AND UNCERTAINTY AND C CONTENTION. I WOULD SAY THIS THANKSGIVING IS DIFFERENT THAN THE PAST.

I'M NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT SMALLER GATHERINGS. I'M TALKING ABOUT SOMETHING BIGGER THAN THAT. FOR HOLIDAY TRADITIONALLY ASSOCIATED WITH ABUNDANCE AND INDULGENCE THIS THANKSGIVING SERVED REAL REMINDER WHAT REALLY MEANS TO BE THANKFUL FOR OUR HEALTH. THANKFUL FOR OUR FAMILIES THANKFUL FOR OUR FRIENDS THANKFUL FOR OUR COMMUNITY AND ROOF OVER OUR HEAD AND FOOD ON THE TABLE.

I THINK WE'VE BEEN GUILTY OF TAKING THESE THINGS FOR GRANTED. WHEN CATASTROPHIC EVENT OCCURS

[00:05:07]

SAY MAYBE A GLOBAL PANDEMIC HAS TENDENCY TO ALTER OUR PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE.

I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A CHANCE TO REFOCUS AND IT STICKS. WE CAN BE VERY QUICK TO GO BACK TO OLD WAYS. BUT I THINK WHAT I SAW FOR AT LEAST MY EXPERIENCE AND OBSERVATION FROM THE MORE RECENT HOLIDAY THIS IS SOMETHING THAT REALLY HAD MEANINGFUL IMPACT AND GAVE SOMETHING PEOPLE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO. IT'S IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT THESE TINGS THAT WE'RE THANKFUL FOR THEY NEED TO BE CARED FOR AND PRESERVED.

A LOT OF THAT WILL BEING SAFE, FOLLOWING THE GUIDELINES. BECAUSE ALL THOSE THINGS AS WE CAN SEE HAVE BEEN CAN BE FICKLE. THEY CAN BE TAKEN FROM YOU QUICKIE.

IT'S ALL ON ALL OF US TO HOLD THE RESPONSIBILITY. I THINK IT'S A GOOD REMINDER OF IT. I WANT TO MAKE SURE WE HIGHLIGHT THAT.

THANK YOU. >> THANK YOU VERY MUCH COMMISSIONER ISROW.

>> COMMISSIONER CUTLER. >> THANK YOU MAYOR. THAT WAS GREAT JORDAN.

>> I WANT TO WISH EVERYONE HAPPY HOLIDAYS. I WOULD LIKE TO SORT OF TAG ON WHAT JORDAN SAID. WE'RE NOW HEARING INFORMATION THAT THERE ARE VACCINES AND POTENTIALLY THINGS THAT GOING TO MAKE OUR LIVES BETTER IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

I HEARD TONIGHT ON THE NEWS AS I WAS GETTING READY TO COME OVER HERE THAT ENGLAND HAS BASICALLY GIVEN THE GREEN LIGHT TO STARTING THEIR VACCINATION PROCESSING.

BUT I DO WANT TO REMIND EVERYBODY THAT ALTHOUGH WE ARE SEEING A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL, WE ARE NOT THERE YET. AND IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT PARTICULARLY AS WE GO INTO THE WINTER TIME MORE SO UP NORTH THAN DOWN HERE. PEOPLE TRAVEL.

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT WE CONTINUE TO PRESERVE OURSELVES, OUR FRIENDS, OUR NEIGHBORS AND OUR FAMILIES BY WEARING OUR MASKS, USING THE SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS THAT HAVE BEEN EXPRESSED OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND TAKING CARE OF EACH OTHER.

I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE CONTINUE TO FOCUS ON THAT. THERE WILL BE TIME ENOUGH FOR THE VACCINES TO COME OUT AND FOR PEOPLE TO START GETTING BETTER. BUT WE NEED TO CONTINUE TO FOCUS ON MAKING SURE THAT WE'RE SAFE. BY HAVING SAID THAT. I WANT TO REITERATE I'VE SPOKEN RECENTLY TO THE BROWARD SHERIFF'S OFFICE. WE HAVE HAD SUBSTANTIAL UPTICK IN PEOPLE FORGIVING TO LOCK THEIR AUTOMOBILE DOORS. AND AS A RESULT WE'RE SEEING REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO EITHER STEAL ITEMS FROM THE VEHICLES AND OR THE VEHICLE THEMSELVES.

I WANT TO REMIND EVERYONE THAT YOU NEED TO PROTECT YOURSELVES AND LOCK YOUR DOORS.

IT'S VERY IMPORTANT. OVER THE WEEKEND, WE HAD THE SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY THAT WAS GREAT EVENT. I KNOW THAT ALL OF THE COMMISSIONER UP HERE POSTED GREAT PICTURES OF GOING TO A BUNCH OF THE DIFFERENT BUSINESSES.

IT'S NOT A ONE-DAY EVENT. KEEP IN MIND WE NEED TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THOSE BUSINESSES IN OUR COMMUNITY INTO THE FUTURE. I WANT TO CONGRATULATE ALISON AS WELL.

THAT'S REALLY GREAT. THERE'S FEW CLERKS IN THE ENTIRE STATE THAT HAVE ACHIEVED WHAT SHE ACHIEVED. IT'S REALLY A WONDERFUL THING. WE RECEIVED RECENTLY A VERY NICE LETTER FROM LIZ MAGUIRE IN REGARDS TO THE HARVEST DRIVE WHICH WAS A HUGE SUCCESS.

I WANT TO THANK HER, AGAIN, AS WELL AS MEGAN MEALA AND OUR COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD FOR ALL OF THE WORK THEY PUT INTO IT. I WANT TO THANK THE STAFF WHO KID AN AMAZING JOB OF COORDINATING EVERYTHING AND MAKING SURE THAT THE P-REC REMAINED THE PROTOCOLS NECESSARY TO KEEP EVERYBODY SAFE. YOU DID A WONDERFUL JOB WITH THAT.

REMINDER THAT HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE AT THE PARKLAND EQUESTRIAN CENTER THE DECEMBER 12TH. DEADLINE TO APPLY THE TOMORROW. SO IF ANYBODY OUT THERE LISTENING TO THIS DESIRES TO BE ON ONE OF OUR CITY BOARDS. WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU GET YOUR APPLICATION IN RIGHT AWAY. THEN THERE'S LIGHT UP THE PARK ON DECEMBER 19TH.

AND THE FARMER MARKET ON DECEMBER 6TH. THAT'S ALL I HAVE MAYOR, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THANK YOU, COMMISSIONER CUTLER. COMMISSIONER BRIER.

>> THANK YOU VERY MUCH MAYOR. I ALSO WANT TO CONGRATULATE ALISON.

I KNOW WE TALKED EARLIER. I WANT TO CONGRATULATE YOU. I THINK IT'S A WONDERFUL ACCOMPLISHMENT. I WANT TO THANK SENATOR PULSKY FOR BEING HERE TONIGHT.

[00:10:03]

THAT'S IMPORTANT FOR OUR CITIZENS. I ALSO ECHOING SOME OF KEN CUTLER'S COMMENTS, WANT TO REMIND US OURSELVES TO CONTINUE TO BE VIGILANT.

I CAN TELL YOU IN BEING OUT IN THE COMMUNITY THIS PAST WEEKEND, I'M OVERWHELMED BY THE AMOUNT OF CAUTION OUR BUSINESS HAVE TAKEN TO PROTECT OUR RESIDENTS. I AM HEARTENED BY THE FACT THAT OUR RESIDENTS ARE MINDFUL TO NOT ONLY SOCIAL DISTANCING BUT WEARING MASKS AND THERE'S NO BETTER TIME RIGHT NOW TO BE IN PARKLAND WITH OUR AMAZING WEATHER.

WITH OUR BEAUTIFUL SCENERY, AND THE MINDFUL PEOPLE YOU WILL EVER MEET.

AS COMMISSIONER CUTLER SAID IT'S NOT A ONE-DAY EVENT. IT'S IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY NOW MORE THAN EVER THAT OUR RESIDENTS CONTINUE TO SUPPORT OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES.

THEY ARE STRUGGLING THROUGH THIS PANDEMIC. MUCH AS MANY OF US ARE.

IT'S CRITICAL WE CONTINUE TO FUNNEL AS MUCH OF OUR DOLLARS INTO THE LOCAL BUSINESSES AS POSSIBLE TO HELP THROUGH THE CHALLENGING TIMES. I ALSO WANT TO JUST REMIND RESIDENS THAT WE HAVE FARMER'S MARKET AS COMMISSIONER CUTLER SAID THIS WEEKEND.

WE ALSO HAVE THOSE DOING HOLIDAY PARADE. I ALSO WANT TO COMMEND OUR STAFF, THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY, ADVISORY BOARD FOR ALL OF THEIR WORK ON THE HARVEST DRIVE. I KNOW THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT WAS SORT OF DROPPED ON THE LAPS OF THOSE WHO UNDERTOOK AMIDST THE ELECTION AND ALL THOSE GOING ON WITH THE PAN DEMIC TO TAKE ACTION TO TRY TO PUT TOGETHER ALL OF THE COORDINATING THE VOLUNTEERS AND THE DONATIONS FOR THE HARVEST DRIVE AND WHAT THE CITY STAFF DID AND SO ON AND THE MEMBERS OF COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD. AND DR. SHERRIE KIMMEL AND A NUMBER OF OTHER WHAT THEY DID TO PUT THAT TOGETHER IN SHORT ORDER WAS AMAZING. IT HELPS PEOPLE NOT ONLY WHO MAY NEED HELP IN NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES IN THE MIDST OF PANDEMIC MORE SO NOW THAN EVER.

THEY NEEDED THAT. IT'S A GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT. THEY SHOULD BE COMMENDED FOR THE

HARD WORK. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. >> THANK YOU, COMMISSIONER

BRIER. VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHM. >> THANK YOU, MAYOR.

>> I'M GOING TO ECHO THE SAME SENTIMENTS. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALISON.

FOUND OUT THERE WERE ONLY 1300 CLERKS WORLDWIDE THAT HAVE THAT DESIGNATION.

THAT'S VERY IMPRESSIVE. I ALSO WANTED TO WISH YOU A BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

I GUESS CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BIRTHDAY. SATURDAYS SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY. WE ALL WENT OUT TO SEE A LOT OF THE BUSINESSES.

AND I KNOW THAT ESPECIALLY IN PARKLAND WE HAVE A LOT OF SMALL BUSINESSES, FAMILY OWNED AND I KNOW THEY ALL APPRECIATED THE SUPPORT THAT WE PROVIDED. JUST ONE THING, NANCY, IN THE FUTURE WHEN WE HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THAT, BECAUSE PEOPLE HAD ASK AND SAID THEY DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY IF MAYBE WE CAN DO MORE OF A SOCIAL MEDIA PROMOTION JUST TO LET THEM KNOW. SIMILAR TO WHAT WE DID WITH PARKLAND PATRON JUST TO GET PEOPLE TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE OUT SHOPPING USING OUR LOCAL PURVEYORS AND RESTAURANTS TO KIND OF BUY SOME SERVICES. THAT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

>> TUESDAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING. MAYOR AND WALKER AND I ATTENDED THE THANKSGIVING COMMUNITY SERVICE. 7TH OR 8TH YEAR THAT MEMBERS FROM THE LOCAL FAITH COMMUNITY GATHERED TO GIVE THANKS AND GRATITUDE. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL SERVICE.

AND I WANT TO CONGRATULATION MAYOR WALKER WHO DID A WONDERFUL JOB READING THE THANKS GIVING PROCLAMATION. IT WASN'T BECAUSE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING WASN'T AS WELL

ATTENDED IN BURN BUT I'M SURE IT WAS WELL ATTENDED VIRTUALLY. >> THERE'S SOME STREET SIGNS READING SLOWDOWN. SHARE SIDEWALK, BIKES YIELD. JUST REMEMBERSHIPEDER FOR THOSE OUT THERE RIDING THE BIKE FOR THOSE OUT WALKING. WE WANT YOU TO CONTINUE TO ENJOY THE TRAILS AND GREENWAYS BUT REMEMBER IF YOU RIDE A BIKE SLOWDOWN.

PROVIDE SOME AUTOMOBILE SIGNAL LIKE COMING THROUGH TO YOUR LEFT OR MOVE OVER.

I WANT TO THANK IF YOU PUT THE SIGNS UP. I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR THAT.

I BELIEVE IT'S GREATLY APPRECIATED IN JUST SO THAT PEOPLE KNOW TO SLOWDOWN AND TAKE

IT EASY. SO WE DON'T GET PEOPLE RUN OVER. >> I GOT A QUESTION FOR SENATOR PULSKY IF SHE IS HERE. I KNOW THERE WAS SOME CONCERNS OR THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL

[00:15:02]

SENT OUT A MEMORANDUM OF SUPPORT FOR EXTENSION OF CARES ACT FUNDING.

AS OPPOSED TO HAVE THE DEADLINE DECEMBER 30G9. THEY LOOK TO EXTEND THE DEADLINE FOR UTILIZATION. DO YOU KNOW WHERE THEY MIGHT STAND OR HAVE NO IDEA?

>> OKAY. IF YOU CAN FIND OUT JUST IN MAYBE I DON'T KNOW MAYBE, AS MUNICIPALITY WE PROVIDE A LETTER OF SUPPORT. I KNOW THAT WE HAVE SOME FUNDING THAT WE MAY NOT SPEND IT ALL. AND THERE MAY BE OPPORTUNITIES THAT WE MIGHT BE MISSING.

THAT MAY BE AN IDEA. I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT STANDS. I WOULD APPRECIATE THE FOLLOW UP. AND THEN FINALLY, I WANT TO SAY LAST MEETING, I FORGET TO THANK THE COMMISSION MAYOR FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT IN NOMINATING ME TO SERVE AS VICE MAYOR.

I'M HONORED AND PROUD TO REP SENLT REPRESENT THE CITY. >> THANK YOU, VICE MAYOR.

I JUST HAVE A FEW COMMENTS. I WHETHER ECHO WHAT THE COMMISSIONERS SAID.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALISON. WE HAVE FARMERS MARKET COMING UP SUNDAY.

HOPEFULLY WE GET TO HAVE ONE. THANK YOU, SENATOR PULSKY FOR BEING HERE.

I KNOW THE FARMER'S MARKET IS BIG HIT IN PARKLAND. IT LOOK LIKE THE WEATHER GOOD.

WE SHOULD BE GOOD. WE ALSO HAVE LIGHT UP THE NIGHT ON THE 19TH.

I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT FOR ADVISORY BOARDS THAT DEADLINE IS TOMORROW; RIGHT? IF ANYONE WANT TO SIGN UP FOR AN ADVISORY BOARD POSITION, TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO DO THAT. I WANTED TO MENTION I FORGET TO MENTION AT THE LAST MEETING, PETE CATO HE STARTED PARKLAND REC SOCCER. HOE PASSED AWAY A FEW WEEKS AGO.

AND I'M ON THE SOCCER BOARD. MY KIDS PLAY SOCCER. PETE WAS INVOLVED WITH SOCCER UP UNTIL THIS YEAR. HE WAS HELPING WITH REGISTRATION.

AND EVERYTHING LIKE THAT. JUST WANT TO SENT MY CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY.

THANK HIM FOR STARTING THAT. PARKLAND SOCCER IS LARGEST ORGANIZATION.

ROUGHLY 1200 BOYS AND GIRLS THAT PLAY RANGING FROM AGES 4 TO 18. IT'S A HUGE PROGRAM IN OUR CITY.

PETE WILL BE MISSED. BUT HIS LEGACY WILLIE ON. BECAUSE PARKLAND SOCCER IS AGAIN

ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL RECREATION PROGRAMS IN THE CITY. >> I JUST WANTED TO TOUCH BAY A LITTLE BIT WITH THE SMALL BUSINESS. IT WAS GREAT TO SEE EVERYBODY OUT THERE SUPPORTING THE SMALL BUSINESSES. COMMISSIONER CUTLER AND COMMISSIONER BRIER MENTIONED SMALL BUSINESS IS NOT JUST SATURDAY.

IT'S EVERY DAY. WE NEED TO MAKE SURE WE'RE OUT THERE TRYING TO SUPPORT BUSINESSES. I'VE BEEN TALKING WITH NANCY A LITTLE BIT.

I WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY BOARD OR A SMALL BUSINESS ADVISORY BOARD. I THINK THAT'S SOMETHING THAT OUR CITY COULD USE AND CERTAINLY OUR BUSINESSES COULD NEED ESPECIALLY RIGHT NOW. THAT'S SOMETHING I DEFINITELY WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE TOUCH BASE ON YOU KNOW AND STRIKE PLANNING TO TRY TO GET THAT

GOING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. >> I THINK THAT'S ALL MY COMMENTS.

THAT'S ALL MY COMMENTS. BEFORE WE APPROVE THE AGENDA. DO I -- I KNOW YOU WANTED TO DO

[6. Approval of The Agenda]

THE COMMENT FROM BROWARD KOUBLTY FIRST. >> WE JUST WANT TO DO BROWARD COMMENTS FIRST. PBECAUSE WE HAVE THE DOG HERE. IF EVERYBODY IS OKAY WITH THAT.

WE'LL APPROVE THE AGENDA. OBVIOUSLY MOVING BROWARD COUNTY COMMENT UP FIRST.

MOTION TO APPROVE AS AMENDED. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER BRIER. SECOND BY COMMISSIONER CUTLER.

ALL IN FAVOR SIGNIFY BY SAYING AYE. >> ANYONE OPPOSED.

SHOW THAT IT PASSES UNANIMOUSLY. NOW WE GO TO THE AGENDA AND WE'LL START WITH COMMENTS FROM

[9. Comments by the Broward Sheriff's Office]

BROWARD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE. >> GOOD EVENING. SOME OF YOU HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET RILEY ALREADY. I WANTED TO RILEY GIVE YOU A CHANCE TO SEE HER AND DEPUTY BERMAN AND INTRODUCED TO THE DOG. I JUST REAL QUICK WANT TO TELL YOU ABOUT HOW THIS HAPPENED. ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF OR SO AGO WE HAD SITUATION WITH A LOST

[00:20:03]

DOG THAT GOT A COUPLE OF TALKING ABOUT WHAT GREAT IDEA TO HAVE THERAPY DOG WITHIN THE DISTRICT.

WE KNOW FROM THE SITUATION HOW VALUABLE THOSE THERAPY DOGS WERE AFTERWARDS.

I CAN TELL YOU I'VE BEEN AT MSD WHEN THE DOGS ARE THERE. THEY ARE HUGE SUCCESS.

THEY'VE HELPED A LOT OF KID. WE THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A HOME RUN.

WHILE WE RAN INTO SOME STUMBLING BLOCKS INITIALLY, WE WERE PRESENTED WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET RILEY WHO WAS A BLOODHOUND. HER MAIN MISSION WILL BE THAT BLOODHOUND -- WHAT BLOODHOUND DOES. IN OUR AGENCY WE USE BLOODHOUNDS TO FIND MISSING PEOPLE.

THAT'S ANS A -- ASSET WE HAVE RIGHT HERE. WE SEE RILEY AS THERAPY DOG.

THEY HAD THEIR FIRST SESSION. SOMEONE REACHED OUT TO US IN COMMUNITY.

AND ASKED IF THEY COULD MEET. THAT TOOK PLACE WITHIN A WEEK OF HER BEING HERE.

AS RILEY AND DEPUTY BERMAN GOING THROUGH THE TRAINING PROCESS SHE WILL BE THERAPY DOG.

THAT'S HOW WE SEE HER BEING USED. WE'RE EXCITED TO HAVE THAT HERE.

I WANT TO TAKE A SECOND TO THANK NANCY FOR SUPPORTING THIS INITIATIVE.

WE HAD SOME STUMBLING BLOCKS BEFORE WHEN WE BROUGHT A DOG FORWARD.

THIS TIME NANCY WAS RECEPTIVE. I THINK THIS TREMENDOUS ASSET FOR US AS A DISTRICT.

I WILL GIVE THIS OVER TO DEPUTY BERMAN AND IF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, I JUST TO GIVE YOU A

LITTLE BIT. I WILL LET HER TALK ABOUT IT. >> YOU BEEN UPSTAGED.

>> GOOD EVENING, EVERYONE. AND I DON'T KNOW. DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS WITH REGARD TO THE BLOODHOUNDS. I COULD TALK ABOUT THE LIKE THE CAPTAIN SAID HER PRIMARY MISSION IS TO SHE'S GETTING TRAINED TO LOOK FOR MISSING PEOPLE. ESPECIALLY MISSING KIDS AND I THINK I JUST TOLD COMMISSIONER BRIER IT COMES WITH THE JOB. WE HAVE MACY RIGHT NOW WHO OUR ONE BLOOD HAND THAT BEING DEPLOYED ALL OVER THE COUNTY. ESSENTIALLY HER HANDLER DEPUTY COVET IS REALLY GREAT WITH WHEN THEY HAVE FINES, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN IT COMING ATELY THAT THE BLOODHOUNDS COMFORT THE KIDS. SHE EXPLAINS THEY ARE BIG TEDDY BEARS. THERE'S NO AGGRESSIVE BONE IN THEIR BODY.

ESSENTIALLY THE THERAPEUTIC ASPECT OVER FROM LOOKING FOR THE MISSING PERSON TO WHEN IT BECOMES A SUCCESSFUL FIND. THAT THEY BECOME THAT THERAPY DOG.

YESTERDAY A PARKLAND RESIDENT REACHED OUT TO US AND MENTIONED THAT EARLIER.

AND SHE REACHED OUT TO US. HER CHILD WAS AT PARK TRAILS ELEMENTARY DURING THE SHOOTING.

AND HE WAS JUST TO ADD THAT. MY SON WAS AT PARK TRAILS ELEMENTARY DURING THE SHOOTING.

IT WASN'T ABLE TO PICK HIM UP UNTL 7:30. WE HAD THAT SAME EXPERIENCE SHE REACHED OUT TO OUR COMMUNITY SERVICE AID. THEY MENTIONED RILEY IN THE DISTRICT NOW. AND HER SON LOVES DOGS AND BACKTRACKING A BIT.

I GUESS HE DEVELOPED SOME TYPE OF PTSD FROM THAT DAY. BECAUSE AS EVERYONE KNOWS IT WASN'T A SECRET TO THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLCHILDREN WHAT WAS HAPPENING JUST VERY CLOSE BY. THEY HAD FAMILY THERE TOO. AND THEY WERE AWARE OF WHAT WAS GOING ON. AND I GUESS WHAT HELPED THIS 11-YEAR-OLD THE PARKLAND RESIDENTS CHILD THE DOGS. HE LOVES DOG. UNFORTUNATELY HE'S SEVERELY ALLERGIC DOGS. HE STILL HAS REACTION. SHE'S BASICALLY SETS UP PLAY DATES WITH DOGS FOR HIM. EVERY SO OFTEN. AND WE MET UP YET AT PINEHILLS PARK. AND HE SEEMED TO REALLY DO WELL WITH HER.

[00:25:05]

THE PLAYGROUNDS THERE TOO. OF COURSE HE WAS DISTRACTED. I LOVE PLAYING WITH THE DOG.

I SEE MY FRIENDS THERE. AND I SAID, YOU KNOW, WE'LL DO IT.

WE'RE HERE IN PARKLAND. I HAVE TO WALK RILEY. PARKLAND IS RIGHT THERE.

HE CAN INTERACT WITH HER AS MUCH WHEN THEY ARE AVAILABLE. SO FAR THAT -- THAT'S WHAT

OUR -- ARE YOU OKAY? >> SO FAR THAT'S OUR EXPERIENCE. COMING TO PARKLAND.

IN TERMS OF COMING UP -- I DON'T KNOW IF THIS HAPPENED. I CAME FROM POMPANO DISTRICT.

IT'S POMPANO IS MUCH BIGGER CITY. I REALLY PERFORM YA-- APPRECIAT THE LAW ENFORCEMENT LOVE THERE. SO FAR PARKLAND IS GOOD TO US. GLAD TO BE HERE.

>> THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR COMING. HOPEFULLY THE SENATOR GIVES US

THE DOG BACK. >> DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY QUESTIONS?

>> I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU EITHER CAPTAIN MULL BEGAN OR DEPUTY BERMAN.

FIRST AS I SAID OUTSIDE. I'M VERY THANKFUL YOU ARE HERE. WHAT THE SERVICE DOG AND THE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOG FOR THE CHILDREN INCLUDING MY DAUGHTER WAS AMAZING AND BIG PART OF THEIR RECOVERY. AND ONE ASPECT OF THE THERAPY BUT A BIG PART OF IT.

I HAVE A QUESTION REGARDING SORT OF PLANS. OTHER THAN THE ONE ON ONES THAT YOU HAD SIMILAR TO ONE YOU HAD YESTERDAY. ARE THERE PLANS TO USE RILEY NOTWITHSTANDING WITH AMAZING JOB SHE HAS TO DO WITH FINDING MISSING CHILDREN.

HOPEFULLY WE DON'T HAVE TO USE HER MUCH PORE THAT. ARE THERE PLANS TO USE HER WITH

SOME LEVEL OF THERAPY PROGRAMS WE HAVE GOING ON? >> I WILL TAKE ONE.

>> YES. WAY WE SEE RILEY NOT JUST AGAIN NOT JUST AS WORK DOG WHO WILL FIND MISSING PEOPLE. RILEY WILL BE A LARGE PART OF OUR COMMUNITY OUTREACH AS WELL.

DEPUTY BERMAN AND I TALKED ABOUT GOING TO SCHOOLS ON A REGULAR BASIS.

BEING AVAILABLE. BEING AT VARIOUS CITY FUNCTIONS AS AN EXAMPLE.

FARMER'S MARKET SUNDAY. GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR HER TO GET OUT AND BE VISIBLE.

PRETTY MUCH ANY OPPORTUNITY THAT WE CAN HAVE TO GET RILEY OUT THERE AND BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY AND THE EVENT AND HAVE PEOPLE SEE RILEY. THAT'S ON OUR PLAN.

ADDITIONALLY, THOSE INSTANCES, YOU KNOW ONE OF THE THINGS WE'LL DO IN TERMS OF MARKETING THE FACT THAT WE HAVE RESOURCE HERE IS WE'LL MENTION THAT THE THERAPY DOG ASPECT OF THAT IN OUR SOCIAL MEDIA AND OUR PODCAST STUFF AND HOPEFULLY ALONG WITH YOU GUYS WITH THE CITY WE'LL GET THE MESSAGE OUT THAT, THAT AVAILABILITY EXIST IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A THERAPY DOG HERE THROUGH THE DISTRICT AS WELL. THAT'S KIND OF THE OVERALL PLAN

IS HOW WE SEE RILEY FITTING IN. >> THANK YOU VERY MUCH. >> I THINK THAT WILL BE GREAT.

I'M GLAD YOU MENTIONED ABOUT THE FARMER'S MARKET SEEING RILEY AROUND.

I THINK THAT WILL BE GREAT. LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. ANYBODY ELSE HAVE ANY OTHER

QUESTIONS? >> GREAT. OKAY.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. >> IF YOU APOLOGIES, BUT I'M GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT LONGER THAN I WOULD USUALLY ASIDE FROM DOG. ONE OF THE THINGS I WANTED TO KIND OF TALK ABOUT THE DOG IS FUN STUFF. NOW I NEED TO GET DOWN TO SERIOUS STUFF. LAST COUPLE OF DAY WE'VE SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF CAR BURGLARS AND ALL CROW THEFTS IN THE DISTRICT. IN ORDER TO ADDRESS THAT THANKFULLY HAVING THE LIEUTENANT HERE AND CONTACTS RECENTLY BEEN DONE WE MET YESTERDAY WITH BURGLARLY APPLICATION TEAM. THEY WERE CREATED TO DEAL WITH SERIAL BURGLARS.

PTHEY ARE UNIT IN THEMSELVES. WE WILL HAVE UPWARD OF NINE ADDITIONAL STAFFING OUTSIDE THE

[00:30:09]

NEXT TWO WEEKS. THAT'S INCLUDING PARKLAND DISTRICT AS WELL AS MEMBERS OF THE TEAM. WE LOOK TO LEVERAGE THE LBR ASSISTANCE WE HAVE WITH WORKING WITH OTHER AGENCIES TO SHARE THAT INFORMATION WITH THEM. GET INFORMATION FROM THEM AND ALSO TO REPOSITION SOME OF THOSE TO BETTER ALIGN WITH WHERE WE BELIEVE HOW THE CRIMINALS ARE COMING IN AND OUT OF THE CITY. HERE'S WHERE I NEED YOUR HELP. YOU GUYS ALL KNOW THAT I DO A LOT OF SOCIAL MEDIA MESSAGING. RECENTLY I GOT FEEDBACK. IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

YOUR JOB TO PROTECT US. I UNDERSTAND WE HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY.

WE TALK ABOUT COMMUNITY POLICING. IT MEANS A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE PEOPLE THAT WE POLICE AND THE RESIDENTS. ROBERT FIELD FOUND THE METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT. HE CAME UP WITH NINE PRINCIPLES OF POLICING.

I WOULD URGE YOU TO GO BACK AND GOOGLE IT. THERE'S THING WE CONTINUE TO TALK ABOUT TODAY. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HE SAID THAT POLICE ARE PUBLIC AND THE PUBLIC ARE POLICE. ONLY DIFFERENCE THE POLICE ARE PAID TO DO THING THAT THE PUBLIC SHOULD BE DOING AS NORMAL ROUTINE. I TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT IS GOING ON. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE CARS ARE UNLOCKED AND.

TEN BURGLARS. EVERY ONE WAS UNLOCKED. WHAT I TRY TO GET ACROSS TO YOU GUY AND PEOPLE WATCHING. WE NEED YOUR HELP. WE CAN'T DO THIS BY OURSELVES.

ANYTHING YOU CAN DO TO REMIND YOUR CONSTITUENTS. WE WILL DO WHAT WE NEED TO DO.

WE NEED ASSISTANCE FROM THE PUBLIC. THEY ARE GOING TO CARS IN THE DRIVEWAY AND ACTIVATING THE GARAGE. THE NEXT STEP IN THE HOUSE.

THAT'S JUST WAITING TO HAPPEN. KIDS OPENING CAR DOORS NOW INTO THE GARAGE.

WE'RE PUTTING OPERATIONS IN PLACE. PAYING MONEY.

BRINGING RESOURCES IN. WE DO EVERYTHING WE CAN FROM TECHNOLOGICAL STANDPOINT.

WE'RE ONLY HALF OF THE EQUATION. WE NEED RESIDENTS HELP. THE LAST THING I WANT TO TALK ABOUT SHERIFF INITIATIVE. I GAVE A COPY FOR YOU. I WANT TO BRIEFLY MENTION THE SOCIAL JUSTICE TASK FORCE. GIVEN EVERYTHING THAT'S HAPPENED OVER OVER THE LAST YEAR.

THESE ARE PEOPLE FROM ALL DIFFERENT WALKS OF LIFE. THERE'S RACIAL GROUPS.

THEY COME TOGETHER TO WORK WITH US IN PARTNERSHIP TO SEE WHAT WE CAN DO BETTER AND HOW WE CAN WORK TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN BROWARD COUNTY. YOU HAVE THE FLIER.

THERE'S FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ON IT. TELLS HOW YOU CAN BE A MEMBER OF THE BOARD. I LOOKED INTO THAT. IF WE HAVE ANYONE FROM PARKLAND.

THEY MENTIONED A GROUP THAT WAS HERE IN PARKLAND THAT'S NO LONGER ACTIVE.

I DON'T KNOW IF WE HAVE ANY RESIDENTS. IF YOU SUGGESTIONS.

AND YOU WANT TO REACH OUT AND RECONNECT THIS THEM. WE WILL TRY TO GET THEM ON THE BOARD AS WELL. LAST THING I WILL LEAVE YOU WITH.

OPERATION FRONT PORCH MOVING FORWARD. WE STARTED ON THE 23RD.

I WOULD ASK IF YOU TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT. REMIND THEM TO FILL OUT THE FORM FIRST THEN E-MAIL TO US AT PARKLAND@SHERIFF.ORG. THAT'S HOW WE'LL TRACK WHETHER OR NOT WE SHOULD ACCEPT A PACKAGE. IF PACKAGE COMES TO DISTRICT AND I DON'T HAVE THAT FLIER. I CAN'T ACCEPT A PACKAGE. I DON'T KNOW SOMEONE WILL COLLECT IT. ONE OTHER LAST THING. WE RECENTLY RELEASED OUR

[00:35:07]

COMMUNITY SURVEY FROM THE LAST MEETING. WE WERE ASKED TO DO A BASICALLY QUALITY ASSURANCE SURVEY. IT WAS OUTLINED AFTER CONSULTATION WHEN WE RELEASED IT THE FIRST TIME. WE JUST RELEASED IT. THAT SURVEY IS AVAILABLE ON NEXT DOOR. THE CITY WILL PUT IT OUT ON THEIR EBLAST.

WE WILL PUT IT OUT ON TWITTER TOMORROW. IT TAKES LITERALLY ABOUT A MINUTE TO DO THE SURVEY. THE LINK IS THERE. LET US KNOW HOW WE ARE DOING.

WE APPRECIATE YOUR FEEDBACK. IT'S AN OPPORTUNITY FOR RESIDENT TO TELL US WHAT WE DO RIGHT AND

WHAT WE CAN IMPROVE ON. ANY QUESTIONS? >> I HAVE A QUESTION CAPTAIN.

JUST REGARDING THE -- PEOPLE IN WHO ARE REASONING TO THIS AND IN AUDIENCE MAY NOT APPRECIATE THIS. THESE BURGLARS ARE HAPPENING IN GATED COMMUNITIES AS WELL.

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU SPOKE WITH HOA PRESIDENTS. I IMAGINE THAT YOU HAVE.

AND CONTINUE FOR THEM TO BE HYPER VIGILANT WITH THEIR PRIVATE SECURITY FORCES.

RESIDENTS FALL INTO A LULL FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY IN GATED COMMUNITY THINKING THEY CAN LEAVE CARS UNLOCKED. THAT'S DEFINITELY A CONCERN THAT RESIDENT IN GATED AND UNGATED

COMMUNITY NEED TO BE VIGILANT ABOUT. >> JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS.

WE TALK TO HOA. WE TALK TO PRESIDENTS AND THE PROPERTY MANAGERS AS A MATTER OF FACT. WE SPOKE WITH PROPERTY MANAGER FROM THE LARGEST DEVELOPMENT TODAY. AND WE REMINDED THEM. WE ASKED THEM TO PUT THAT INFORMATION OUT AS WELL. ANYWAY THAT WE CAN GET THAT INFORMATION WE'RE TRYING TO GET

THE WORD OUT. >> THANK YOU VERY MUCH. >> MAYOR, AGAIN, I KNOW WE TALKED ABOUT THE PARKLAND APP. THESE ARE THE KIND OF THINGS IF WE CAN GET PUSH NOTIFICATION.

YOU CAN HAVE THE REMINDERS AND THINGS. JUST A CHANNEL TO REACH OUT TO PARKLANDERS. NOT ALL OF THEM ARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

SOMETHING WE SHOULD THINK ABOUT. >> THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

[7. Consent Agenda]

>> NOW WE WILL GO TO CONSENT AGENDA. MOTION TO APPROVE?

>> DID WE APPROVE THE AGENDA? >> YES. >> MOTION TO APPROVE THE CONSENT

AGENT. >> SECOND. >> MOTION TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA BY VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHM SECOND BY COMMISSIONER CUTLER. ALL IN FAVOR SIGNIFY BY -- ANYONE FROM THE PUBLIC WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE CONSENT AGENDA?

>> NO ONE FROM THE PUBLIC. ANY COMMISSIONER WANT TO. MOTION TO APPROVE BY VISIT MAYOR MAYERSOHM SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER CUTLER. ALL IN FAVOR SIGNIFY BY SAYING AYE. SHOW IT PASSES UNANIMOUSLY. NOW WE GO TO REGULAR AGENDA.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COMMISSION OF CITY OF PARKLAND FLORIDA APPROVING COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD APPLICATION TO DEVELOP AN ENHANCED MONUMENT SIGN AT THE STATE ROAD 7 ENTRANCE RIVER STONE SHOPS AND AMOUNT THE LIVE STONE SHOPS SHOPPING CENTER UNIFORM SIGN PLAN. GENERALLY LOCATED WEST OF THE STATE ROAD 7 AND SOUTH OF N WR 74TH PLACE PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

>> THANK YOU VERY MUCH. GOOD EVENING. FOR THE RECORD MY NAME THE MICHELLE MELGRIN. I'M GOING TO PROVIDE YOU WITH BRIEF PRESENTATION.

I WOULD LIKE TO ENTER THE STAFF REPORT INTO THE RECORD BUT FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO ASK IF THERE'S APPLICANT PRESENT HERE OR A PERSON HERE REPRESENTING IF THE APPLICANT.

>> THANK YOU VERY MUCH. >> THIS IS AS THE CITY ATTORNEY COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD APPLICATION REQUESTING APPROVAL TO INSTALL ENHANCED MONUMENT SIGN TO RIVER STONE SHOP AMEND UNIFORM SIGN PLAN TO ACCOMMODATE ALTERNATIVE TEXT OPTION. THIS IS CAB OR COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD APPLICATION. BECAUSE IT IS ONLY A COMMUNITY BOARD APPLICATION IT PROCEEDS RIGHT TO THE CITY COMMISSION THERE'S NO PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD HEARING AS OUR CODE PROVIDES FOR THAT. MONUMENT SIGNS AND OTHER SIGNS DO NOT REQUIRE A SITE PLAN APPROVAL UNLESS THE SIGN INTEGRAL PART OF ORIGINAL SITE PLAN APPROVAL.

HAVING SAID THAT THOUGH I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION THAT THE PROPOSED SIGN IS REVIEWED ALSO BY ENGINEERING AS WELL AS PLANNING NOT ONLY IN PLANNING TO MAKE SURE IT MEETS THE ZONING CODE REQUIREMENTS BUT BY ENGINEERING TO ENSURE THAT IT'S SET BACK SUFFICIENT DISTANCE SO IT DOESN'T IMPEDE THE VIEW OF MOTORIST. THE REVIEW OF THE APPLICATION TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY AND WITH THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM DEVELOPMENT STANDARD.

I WOULD HAVE TO SAY IT'S I THINK IT'S INTERESTING THAT WE HEAR A SIGN APPLICATION AFTER HEARING COMMENTS FROM THE MAYOR AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION REGARDING SMALL BUSINESSES.

FINALLY. THE RIVER STONE SHOPPES LOCATED STATE ROAD 7.

YOU CAN SEE FROM THIS AERIAL PHOTOGRAPH. IT'S OUTLINED IN RED.

THE PROPOSED LOCATION IS SHOWN IN THE GREEN CIRCLE. ON THE SOUTHERN END OF THE PLATE. HERE'S A PHOTOGRAPH OF THE CURRENT MONUMENT SIGN.

AS APPROVE SMALL AND JUST CONTAINS THE NAME OF THE SHOPPING CENTER.

THE PROPOSED MONUMENT SIGN WOULD CONTAIN NOT ONLY THE NAME OF THE SHOPPING CENTER BUT IT WOULD

HVE SIX TENANT NAMES AS WELL. >> AND THIS IS SUMMARY OF THE SIGN HEIGHT.

WHAT IS ALLOWED MAXIMUM OF 6 FEET. THAT'S WHAT IS PROPOSED.

THE SIGN AREA IS 48 SQUARE FEET MAXIMUM. APPLICANT IS ONLY ASKING FOR 18.25 SQUARE FEET. TEY COULD HAVE GONE BIGGER AS YOU CAN TELL.

BUT THEY DIDN'T EXPRESS A DESIRE TO DO SO. THE LETTER HEIGHT IS 23 INCHES MAXIMUM. MAXIMUM ROUTE ALLOWED BY CODE. COME IN WITH 18-INCH LETTER HEIGHT MAXIMUM. LANDSCAPING 73-FOOT MINIMUM. THE SIGN WOULD BE DOUBLE SIDED.

LIT IDENTICAL COPY ON BOTH SIDES. THEY INTERNALLY ILLUMINATED LETTERS. I WILL HAVE A PANEL. IF THE FINISHING STACK STONE BY THE PRIEST PHOTOGRAPH ARCHITECTURE MATCHES THE PRIMARY CENTER ITSELF.

IT WILL BLEND AND FURTHERMORE IT'S CONSISTENT WITH THE GOAL OF SUPPORTING COMMERCIAL CENTER ECONOMIC VIABILITY. WE'VE DONE A FEW THINGS FOR EXAMPLE WHEN COVID-19 BECOME RAMPANT. WE HAD AN ORDINANCE THAT WAS PASSED TO ALLOW OUTDOOR DINING AND SOME ORMEASURES TO ENCOURAGE AND ASSIST SMALL BUSINESSES IN THESE TIMES.

SO THE UNIFORM THEY ALSO WANT TO REVISE THE UNIFORM SIGN PLAN. EVERY SHOPPING CENTER IN THE CITY OF PARKLAND HAS A UNIFORM SIGN PLAN AND IT TYPICALLY SPECIFIES THE SIDE OF THE SIGNS, THE TYPE OF FONT. THE COLOR OF THE LETTERS AND SO FORTH.

YOU CAN SEE THE CURRENT LANGUAGE SHOWN THERE. AND WHAT IS SHOWN IN RED UNDER CURRENT LANGUAGE IS WHAT THE APPLICANT IS FROM POSTING TO CHANGE.

AND WHAT IS BEING PROPOSED TO CHANGE WOULD BE GOING FROM THE MEDIUM STYLE TO KIND OF HONDURAS REGULAR OR BOLD FOR CENTER NAME AND OPTIMA BOLD FOR THE TENANT NAMES.

[00:45:05]

AND ALSO THEY ARE CHANGING THE PERMITTING COLOR FROM DARK BROWNS TO ROSE GLOW BEIGE AND

CUOCO CRISPY. >> THOSE ARE THE ACTUAL NAMES OF THE COLORS.

>> AND ALSO THE APPLICANT PROPOSES TO AMEND GROUND SITE AREA FROM 48 TO 64 # SQUARE FEET. BUT THAT IS STRUCK BECAUSE 48 FEET IS MAXIMUM THEY ARE ALLOWED IN THE CODE. I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT SOME YEARS NOW WE DID AMEND THE SIGN CODE TO ALLOW FOR ARCHITECTURAL SIGNS SO TO SPEAK. IF YOU APPLY FOR THAT AND YOU GET IT YOU'RE ALLOWED A LARGER SIGN. YOU CAN GO BIGGER AND HEIGHT AND HAVE SOME OTHER FEATURES BASICALLY THE SIGN MUST BE STRUCTURAL IN APPEARANCE.

WE HAVE CRITERIA TO ALLOW. THE APPLICANT DIDN'T AMRAI TO THAT.

FROM THE CHART WE PRESENTED WE DIDN'T MEET THE MAXIMUM THAT WOULD BE ALLOWED.

I WANTED TO POINT OUT WE DO HAVE THAT AVAILABLE IN THE CODE. STAFF RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION HERE. SUBJECT TO THE UNIFORM SIGN PLAN BEING REVISED TO MAINTAIN MAXIMUM 48 SQUARE FEET. THE APPLICANT SHALL ENSURE THE MULCH COLOR MATCHES THE MULCH COLOR OF PRIMARY CENTER THAT THEY WERE INSTALLING RED MULCH AROUND SIGN.

THEY AGREED TO MAKE SURE IT MATCHES SO THERE'S UNIFORMITY THERE.

THE CITY WILL INSPECT LANDSCAPING TO MAKE SURE IT'S KEPT UP.

AS WE TYPICALLY DO WITH ALL DEVELOPMENTS. IF THEY FAIL TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH IT'S A VIOLATION OF THE VIOLENT PLAN AND LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE.

AND FINALLY THE FIFTH CRITERIA OR RECOMMENDATION IS THAT THEY ENSURE THEY TAKE FULL COST RECOVERY FROM THE PROCESSING OF THE APPLICATION. THAT CONCLUDES MY PRESENTATION.

I KNOW THAT THE APPLICANT IS HERE AS WELL. IT WOULD BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY

QUESTIONS. >> WELL I OPEN TO PUBLIC FIRST TO SEE IF ANYONE FROM THE PUBLIC

HAS ANY COMMENTS. >> SEEING NO ONE FROM THE PUBLIC.

I WILL OPEN IT TO THE COMMISSION. >> VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHM.

MY ONLY QUESTIN YOU HAVE SIX NAMES THAT CAN BE PUT ON THERE. HOW MANY UNITS OR DIFFERENT

BUSINESSES ARE IN THAT CENTER. >> I WILL DEFER TO APPLICANT. I DON'T KNOW THE EXACT NUMBER.

I SAID THE NEXT HOW DO THEY DETERMINE WHICH NAME GOES ON THERE.

>> CORRECT. >> THAT'S REALLY GOING TO BE BETWEEN THE LANDLORD AND THE PROPERTY MANAGER AND THE TENANTS. THAT'S A QUESTION THAT WE DID ASK. AND THE RESPONSE THAT THEY I DON'T WANT TO PUT WORDS IN HIS MOUTH. IS THEY HAVEN'T DECIDED THAT YET.

BUT THE CONCEPT WAS THAT AS I UNDERSTOOD AND HOPING THAT COULD HELP PROMOTE THE RESTAURANTS AND THOSE SEEM TO BE BUSINESSES SUFFERING THE MOST. PERHAPS THE APPLICANT WOULD LIKE

TO SPEAK FURTHER TO THAT QUESTION VICE MAYOR. >>

> THANK YOU. NAME AND ADDRESS FOR THE RECORD. >> GOOD EVENING.

DAVE CHALKRON THE MANAGER THAT OVERSEES THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.

THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION. SOME OF THE SPACES DETERMINED BY THE LEASE AGREEMENT IF THEY HAVE A PROMISE OR NOT IN FUTURE AND OBVIOUSLY THOSE THAT WILL ANCHORED AT TIME FOR BIGGER SPACE. LEAVE ONE SPACE FOR A POTENTIAL LARGE TENANT COMING AND LIKE SHE MENTIONED RESTAURANTS. THEY BEG FOR SOME TYPE OF SIGNAGE.

WE APPRECIATE THE OPPORTUNITY. AND THE CHANCE TO ACTUALLY MAKE THAT HAPPEN FOR THEM.

FOR OUR TENANTS. >> COMMISSIONER BRIER. YEAH.

I'M GOING TO JUST PIGGYBACK OFF OF SOMETHING THAT VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHM SAID WHICH IS THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE AND WE'VE HEARD IT FOR MANY MONTHS OBVIOUSLY GOING THROUGHOUT THE AND D PANDEMIC.

THE BUSINESSES ARE SUFFERING. NOT ONLY RESTAURANTS BUT THE LACK OF SIGNAGE IS ATTRIBUTED.

NUMBER OF SIGN CAN BE ADDED. WE WANT TO MAINTAIN THE BALANCE OF PRESERVING THE LOOK AND FEEL OF OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL AS HELPING OUR SMALL BUSINESSES AND I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT SELECTION

[00:50:05]

IN TERMS OF THE NUMBERS OF 6 VERSES MORE OR LESS WAS ME. YOU CAN SHARE WITH ME.

>> TO POOL EVERYBODY WILL BE LARGER SIGN THAT WOULDN'T BE APPROVED.

>> ACTUALLY IF I CAN ODDLY ENOUGH I THINK WE'RE ALL KIND OF SAYING YOU ACTUALLY HAVE ADDITIONAL SQUARE FOOTAGE THAT YOU COULD USE. YOU COULD PROBABLY DON'T HEAR

THIS OFTEN FROM CITIES. >> NO. >> YOU COULD PUT A LARGER SIGN.

BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT WAS 48 SQUARE FEET MAX AND HE WAS AT 18.

THAT WOULD ALLOW ADDITIONAL TENANT WHETHER THREE MORE OR SIX MORE OR WHATEVER.

I THINK THAT'S WHERE VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHM WAS HEADED. THAT'S WHERE I WOULD GO IF THEY DIDN'T. YOU STILL HAVE ANOTHER 30 SQUARE FEET.

YOU COULD MAKE A LARGER SIGN STILL KEEPING NICE SIGN GOOD FOR THE CITY.

THAT YOU KNOW ISN'T STILL AT 6 FEET HIGH. BUT WOULD GIVE YOU AN OPPORTUNITY TO PUT MORE TENANTS ON THAT SIGN. I THINK THAT'S OUR AS WE TALK TODAY YOU KNOW EARLIER IN THE COMMENTS, ONE OF THE BIG THINGS WE WANTED TO DO PROMOTE AND HELP THE BUSINESSES AS BEST WE CAN. SIGNAGE CERTAINLY ON STATE ROAD 7 IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AND IF WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE YOU AND OUR BUSINESSES MORE YOU KNOW VISIBILITY WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THAT HAPPEN. WE AGREE. I WANTED TO HAVE SOMETHING PROMOTING. NO ONE LOOKS THAT LOW EITHER. WE WILL CONSIDER THAT.

I KNOW OBVIOUSLY HELPING A LOT OF OUR TENANTS 50% OF SOME KIND WE HAVE DONE AS MUCH AS WE CAN.

I WILL BRING TO OWNERS. AND SEE IF THAT'S SOMETHING THAT -- COMMISSIONER CUTLER.

>> I UNDERSTAND THAT OUR CODE SUGGEST WEIRD THINGS. AND OF COURSE AS I SAID EARLIER.

I WANT TO SUPPORT THE LOCAL BUSINESSES. THERE'S OUT CONSIDERATIONS WHICH INCLUDE WHETHER OR NOT IT IS COMPARABLE TO THINGS AROUND THE CITY OTHER SIGNAGE AROUND THE OTHER CITY COMMERCIAL AREAS AND THINGS LIKE THAT. WHETHER OR NOT THE INCREASED DISTANCE WILL IMPEDE WHICH ARE THINGS THAT NEED TO BE EXPLORED ONE THE APPLICANT PUTS IN THAT INFORMATION AS OPPOSED TO SAYING THIS IS MAXIMUM STUFF LIKE THAT. THERE'S CONSIDERATIONS THAT NEED TO BE MADE IF THEY CHANGE WHAT YOU HAVE INDICATED THE STAFF IS SUGGESTING WE APPROVE.

I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT FROM AN ENGINEERING STANDPOINT CONSISTENT WITH WHAT THE CITY LOOKS LIKE IN COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES AND ALL THOSE OTHER THINGS.

THAT WE'RE CONSISTENT RELATIVE TO THAT. I THINK THAT'S WHAT OUR CODE SAID. I DON'T WANT TO SPEAK FOR YOU. PUT I ASSUME HAVING THE CODES, WHICH MAXIMUM HEIGHT IS SIX FEET. YOU'VE DONE THAT DUE DILIGENCE SAYING THIS IS HIGHEST SIGN CAN BE. SIX FEET.

48 SQUARE FEET. IS THE MAX. WHEN APPLICANT CAME IN THEY CAME IN UNIFORM SIGN PLAN THAT WAS DONE RELATIVE TO ALL OF THE ASPECT OF THE SHOPPING CENTER.

THERE'S PLANNING INVOLVED IN THE ACTUAL LAYOUT OF THE VARIOUS COMMERCIAL.

I WANT TO MAKE SURE WE'RE CONSISTENT TO OTHER COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES AND MAKING SURE THAT WE'RE NOT PRESENTING HAZARDS TO VISIBILITY AND ALL THOSE OTHER THINGS.

[00:55:05]

NOTWITHSTANDING WHAT THE CODE MIGHT SAY. THAT'S ALL.

>> BECAUSE I MENTIONED AT THE BEGINNING OF MY PRESENTATION EVEN THOUGH THIS DOESN'T GO TO PLANNING AND ZONING. I POINT OUT WE DO VIGOROUS REVIEW AS WELL AS ENGINEERING.

THERE'S REALLY TWO DIFFERENT ASPECT OF THE SIGNAGE THAT YOU LOOK AT.

UNIFORM SIGN PLAN LARGELY APPLIES TO THE INDIVIDUAL TENANT AND THE SIGNAGE THEY CAN PUT UP.

THIS MONUMENT SIGN THEY WANT TO ADD THERE ON STATE ROAD 7. APPLICANT SEEKING APPROVAL.

HE DOESN'T WANT TO DELAY IT. IF WE GO BACK TO OWNER WE COULD WORK WITH THEM ON THAT.

>> IF THAT'S THE DESIRE WITH THE OWNER. THAT'S NOT WHAT THEY CAME

FORWARD WITH. VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHM. >> IF I CAN SPEAK TO APPLICANT.

MY QUESTION IS BECAUSE WE HAVE ANOTHER MEETING IN TWO WEEKS. IF WE WOULD SAY TONIGHT OR MAKE A MOTION TONIGHT TO TABLE THIS TO THE NEXT MEETING, YOU WOULD COME BACK AND SAY WE SPOKE TO OWNERS WHATEVER THEY ARE WILLING TO MAKE THE SIGN WIDER OR WHATEVER.

I WOULD DEFER TO MICHELLE OR ANTHONY IF WE COULD GIVE THEM SOME SORT OF APPROVAL WITH A CONDITION THAT MAKE THE SIGN WIDER AND IF IT FITS WITHIN THE PARAMETERS.

THEN THAT WOULD BE APPROVED. >> THE DIFFICULTY I WOULD HAVE WITH THAT.

LET'S SAY HE GOES BACK AND SPEAK TO OWNER TOMORROW AND THEY CONSIDER IT.

THEY WOULD HAVE TO GO TO SIGN COMPANY WHO HAS TO COME UP WITH DRAWINGS.

I WOULDN'T GIVE STAFF ADEQUATE AMOUNT OF TIME IN THAT TIME FRAME TO REVIEW AND HAVE ENGINEERING LOOK AT IT. I TALK ABOUT HE COMES BACK. HE WANT TO GET APPROVAL FROM MY PERSPECTIVE. I CAN SUPPORT THIS. I WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT ADDITIONAL SIGNAGE. I'M NOT COMFORTABLE. IF HE COMES BACK IN TWO WEEKS AND SAYS I SPOKE TO OWNER AND THEY WILLING TO MAKE BIGGER SIGN.

WE APPROVED SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T PROVIDE SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESS FIVE MORE TENANT OR

THREE MORE TEN@S ON THE SIGN. >> IF YOU APPROVE WHAT WAS APPLIED FOR TONIGHT.

HE COULD COME WHEN THEY ARE READY. YOU COULD LOOK AT THAT.

IF YOU APPROVE THE PLAN. THAT WOULD SUPERSEDE THAT ONE. IT WOULD BE RESOLUTION TO MAKE IT CLEAR. IF HE GOES BACK AND THEY GET A NEW DESIGN.

IT ALSO GO THROUGH APPLICATION PROCESS. GIVE MICHELLE AN OPPORTUNITY TO REVIEW THE DESIGN AND MAKE SURE IT CONFORMS TO CODE. SO BY APPROVING WHAT'S BEFORE YOU TONIGHT. DOESN'T PRECLOOUD ABILITY TO COME BACK WHEN THEY ARE READY IN A MONTH OR HOWEVER IT TAKES. GO THROUGH THE APPLICATION PROCESS AGAIN AND HAVE YOU

APPROVE LARGER SIGN. >> IF HE CAME BACK IN TWO WEEKS IF HE'S COMFORTABLE WITH THAT.

AND SAID, YES, MY OWNER SAID YES WE CAN MAKE A BIGGER SIGN. AND GO THROUGH THE PROCESS.

THEN WE COME BEFORE AS A WHOLE ENTITY AND NOT SAYING WE APPROVE TODAY.

HE CAME BACK BUT DECIDED NOT TO. WE'VE GIVEN APPROVAL. >> I WOULD RATHER DEFER THIS TO GET ANSWER OF YES, WE FEEL COMFORTABLE. AND WE WILL MOVE FORWARD.

AND APPROVING LARGER SIGN. OR FOR THE APPLICANT TO COME BACK AND SAY NO.

THIS IS WHAT IS HERE TODAY IN FRONT OF YOU. WE VOTE IT UP OR DOWN.

>> I THINK WHAT THE ISSUE WITH MICHELLE IS TWO WEEKS ISN'T ENOUGH TIME FOR HER --

>> I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT REVIEWING IT. I TALK ABOUT THE APPLICANT COMING BACK WITH ANSWER. IF HE SAYS YES. THEN TO ME WHAT HE BROUGHT

FORWARD TODAY I WOULDN'T APPROVE. >> I THINK IF HE COMES BACK AND SAIDS TO. WE CAN DEFER THIS AND VOTE ON THIS AS IT IS.

>> I THINK WHAT ANTHONY IS SAYING. AND I THINK IF WE'RE IF WE'RE OKAY WITH APPROVING MORE. COULD WE APPROVE THIS SIGN THEY COULD MAKE IT ACCORDING TO CODE

[01:00:08]

OBVIOUSLY. IT HAS TO GET REVIEWED IN ESSENCE MAKE IT TWICE AS WIDE.

I DON'T KNOW IF THAT WOULD FIT IN THE SPACE OR WHATEVER. OR THEY COULD FIT 12 TENANTS.

>> LET ME CLARIFY SOMETHING ALSO. ACCORDING TO THIS THEY COULD.

WHEN WE MEASURE A SIGN. IT'S NOT THE STRUCTURE. IT'S NOT THE SIGN.

THE SIGN IS ACTUAL COPY. I WOULD NEED TO LOOK WHAT IS PROPOSED OVERALL.

I HAVEN'T COMMITTED THE SIGN CODE TO MEMORY NOR WOULD I EVER DO THAT.

THAT'S DANGEROUS. THERE WOULD BE NO DIFFICULTY IN APPROVING WHAT THEY REQUEST TODAY. AND IF THEY WANT TO COME BACK IMMEDIATELY AND GO BIGGER AND

BETTER THEY COULD DO THAT TOO. >> MY OPINION IN THAT IF THEY DIDN'T WANT TO GO BIGGER.

I WOULD STILL -- I WOULD APPROVE THIS. I THINK MOST OF OUR COMMISSIONER AGREE OBVIOUSLY WE WANT TO S A THETCALLY PLEASING. THEY FIT WITHIN EVERYTHING.

IF WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO ADD MORE, THAT'S WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE.

BECAUSE YOU KNOW THE ECONOMIC EFFECTS OF THE PANDEMIC ARE GOING TO BE WITH US FOR YEARS TO COME. I THINK IT WILL BE BENEFICIAL TO YOU.

BECAUSE THINK IT WILL BE EASIER FOR YOU TO FIND TENANTS COMING. I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT WE GET AS MANY TENANTS AS POSSIBLE. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED. WE NEED TO JUST DECIDE WE WILL APPROVE THIS. HE UNDERSTANDS THAT WE WILL SEE MORE.

WE WOULD ASK YOU TO TAKE THAT INTO CONSIDERATION. AND KNOWING THAT IF THAT GET APPROVE BY CAB IT WILL BE APPROVED BY US. YOU COULD HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO

LARGER SIGN. >> MY RESPONSE TO YOU. TO ENTERTAIN THEY LOOK WHAT THE CODE SAYS. WHAT THEY WANT TO DO WHAT THEY SPEND.

I WOULD NOT THEY DEFINITELY WOULD NOT LIKE TO DELAY. YOU CANNOT IN YOUR SIDE IN THE DESIGN SIDE AND PLANNING SIX MONTHS BACK AND FORTH. BECAUSE OF COVID.

WE'RE ALREADY A YEAR BEHIND FROM THE FIRST DAY WE GAVE THE SIGN. WE'RE EAGER TO HAVE SOMETHING DONE. THE CITY AND REGULATIONS. I WILL BRING TO OWNER, THEY WILL -- BUT YET THEY WILL HAVE TO GO BACK. IT'S NOT MUCH OF DESIGN CHANGE.

ADDING A FEW EXTRA SHOULDN'T COST YOU TWICE AS MUCH AS WHAT YOU PAY.

>> IF YOU GET SOME SORT OF SUPPORT HERE, SIMPLE BUSINESS BIGGEST RESTRAINT AND

RESTRICTION WOULD BE FINANCIAL, WHAT IT WOULD COST. >> I'M NOT SAYING THAT.

IF THERE'S A FINANCIAL CONSTRAINT. MY QUESTION IS WHETHER THERE'S FUNDING OR ANYTHING THE CITY HAS AVAILABLE. IN A WAY THIS SUPPORTS SMALL BUSINESS. IF THERE'S CARES FUNDING OR ANYTHING THAT COULD BE CONSTRUED

IN SUCH A WAY IT WOULD BE GREAT TO LOOK INTO. >> MY UNDERSTANDING AND KRONNING IS THAT THE CARES FUNDING THAT WE HAVE FOR BUSINESSES ARE FOR PARKLAND BUSINESSES.

THEY HAVE TO HAVE APPLIED FOR THAT. EVEN THOUGH WE THINK IT'S GREAT WE COULD THROW FUNDS TO OFFSET THE COST. THAT'S NOT AN OPTION.

>> ONE OTHER QUESTION. IF WE WERE TO VOTE TO APPROVE THIS TONIGHT.

[01:05:04]

HOW LONG WOULD IT BE FROM TONIGHT TO COMPLETION. JUST A ROUGH ESTIMATE?

>> SIX MONTHS? >> I THINK BY THE TIME THEY GET BUILDING PLAN DRAWN UP AND THEY

ACTUAL. SHOULD TAKE 8 TO 10 WEEKSED. >> YOU'RE LOOKING AT TWO MONTHS.

>> THAT'S WHAT I SHOULD TAKE. >> IF THEY CAME BACK AND WANTED TO INCREASE THE SIGN.

HOW LONG WOULD THAT PROCESS BE FROM TONIGHT. >> WELL, WE HAVE TO REVIEW IT.

WE HAVE TO ADVERTISE IT. SO -- WE HAVE TO ADVERTISE IT EVEN IF THAT'S WHAT VICE MAY MAYOR MAYERSOHM SAID. WE WOULD HAVE TO ADVERTISE IF WE APPROVED -- THE WE SAID OKAY WE WILL APPROVE 36 -- UP TO 48 SQUARE FEET. AND HE COMES IN AND 40 FEET.

WOULD WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS AGAIN. >> IT WOULD HAVE TO BE ADVERTISED. YOU HAVE APPLICATION BEFORE YOU TONIGHT.

THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE ASK BEING VOTED ON. ASK TO VOTE ON.

>> IF HE SUBMIT NEW APPLICATION WITH LARGER SIGN OR IT WOULD GO THROUGH THAT PROCESS AGAIN.

>> YOU LOOK AT ANOTHER ADDITIONAL TWO MONTHS. >> YES.

>> AND THEN ANOTHER TWO MONTHS TO -- YOU LOOK AT FOUR MONTHS. >> RIGHT.

>> YOU LOOK SOMETIME AS OPPOSED TO FEBRUARY, IN APRIL. OR MAY.

>> AND I WILL ADD TO THAT AND THAT TIME FRAME BASED ON THE IDEA THE SIGN COMPANY GIVES US A COMPLETE PACKAGE. WHEN THIS ONE CAME IT WAS GOOD BUT MISSING INFORMATION.

I HAD TO GO THROUGH ANOTHER REVIEW. >> HOPEFULLY NOW HAVING GONE

THROUGH THE PROCESS ONCE THEY LEARNED HOW THE DO IT. >> OKAY.

ANYONE HAVE ANY MORE QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS? >> CAN I MAKE A MOTION TO APPROVE INCLUDING STAFF'S RECOMMENDATIONS WITH ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDATION THAT THE APPLICANT COME BACK TO US IN 30 DAYS TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THEY WOULD BE INTERESTED IN

INCREASING THE SIGNAGE. IS THAT A POSSIBILITY OR NO? >> I THINK APPLICANT GOT THE MESSAGE LOUD AND CLEAR. I DON'T KNOW THAT YOU NEED ATTACH MOTION.

I THINK HE HEARS IT. >> I WOULD JUST RECOMMEND MAKING THE MOTION ON THE APPLICATION BEFORE YOU. BUT I CERTAINLY THINK HE UNDERSTANDS WHAT THE COMMISSION

IS LOOKING FOR. >> WE CAN CHECK IN APPLICANT AND PROVIDE WITH VERBAL UPDATE AS TO

DECISION. >> VICE MAYOR, ARE YOU MOTION TO APPROVE?

>> APPROVAL WITH STAFF'S RECOMMENDATION. >> SECOND.

>> WAS THAT YOU? >> YOU CAN'T SEE PEOPLE'S MOUTH MOVE.

>> I HAVE MOTION TO APPROVE BY VICE MAYOR MAYERSOHM AND SECOND BY ISROW.

ROLL CALL.

UNANIMOUSLY. >> THANK YOU. >> AGAIN, PLEASE IF YOU COULD,

WE WOULD HOPE YOU CONSIDER THAT. >> THANK YOU. >> COMMENTS BY THE CORAL SPRINGS

[10. Comments by the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department]

PARKLAND FIRE DEPARTMENT. >> GOOD EVENING COMMISSION. JUST A COUPLE OF THINGS FROM OUR DEPARTMENT. ONE OF THE THINGS WE LIKE TO BRING US JUST SOME SAFETY MESSAGESAS WELL AS THE THINGS WE'RE WORKING ON FOR YOU GUYS. THE CITY OF PARKLAND CURRENTLY HAS 927 POSITIVE COVID CASES TRACK SINCE TRACKING BEGAN EARLIER THIS YEAR.

THAT NUMBER IS PERCENTAGEWISE PRETTY LOW FOR THE COMMUNITY OF YOUR SIZE.

HOWEVER I LIKE TO BRING IT UP BECAUSE I WANT TO REMIND RESIDENTS WE'RE AT THE POINT WHERE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT VACCINES AND THINGS CLEANING UP. I THINK SOME PEOPLE ARE LETTING THEIR GUARD DOWN A LITTLE BIT. WE WANT TO REMIND EVERYONE TO CONTINUE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIP. CONTINUE TO WASH YOUR HAND AND BE CLEAN AND MAKE SURE UNTIL WE GET THE VACCINE AND WE'RE GETTING THAT OUT. THAT OUR FOLKS ARE STAYING SAFE.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, JUST TO YOURSELF. WE WILL APPROVE DISTRIBUTION LOCATION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. IF AND THAT'S AN F.

THE PROCESS THAT WE GO THROUGH RIGHT NOW CURRENTLY ARE APPROVED WITH THE STATE.

WE MAY A DISTRIBUTION LOCATION FOR THE VACCINE AND AGAIN I SAY IF.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK WITH YOUR STAFF IF THAT'S APPROVED. THERE MAY BE SOME FOLKS IN THE ORGANIZATION ELIGIBLE FOR THAT. WE ARE WORKING ON THAT PLANNING WITH DOH NOW.

[01:10:07]

>> JUST TO CLARIFY. IS THAT DISTRIBUTION THROUGH ALL THE STATION OR JUST THE MAIN

STATION? >> IT WOULD BE A LOCATION WITHIN THE CITY AT A PARK OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THE DISTRIBUTION POINTS WORK. AND AGAIN JUST ANOTHER QUICK REMINDER ABOUT COVID. THE 10,000 CASES JUST YESTERDAY. AGAIN WE WANT TO REMIND EVERYONE TO BE SAFE WITH THAT. WE HAVE A COUPLE OF EVENTS COMING UP.

WE HAVE VIRTUAL SANTA CLAUSENT COMING UP. THAT'S FOR FOLKS THAT CAME TO FUND-RAISING EVENT IN THE PAST WITH OUR FIRE DEPARTMENT AND LAST YEAR GOT A VISIT FROM SANTA. BECAUSE OF COVID WE HAVE THAT VIRTUALLY THIS YEAR.

ALSO WE'RE HAVING A SANTA PARADE THAT WILL BE COMING THROUGH PARKLAND.

AND THAT THERE'S GOING TO DOING THAT TONIGHT. THE NIGHT IN PARKLAND IS ON DECEMBER 17TH. WE ARE IN THE PLANNING PHASE FOR THAT.

WE WILL GET WITH CITY STAFF TO KNOW WHEN THE ROUTE ITSELF IS DEFINITELY DONE AND WE'LL HAVE SOME COOL TECHNOLOGY WHERE YOUR RESIDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO TRACK SANTA AS HE'S DRIVING TO GO THROUGH THE NEIGHBORHOODS. AGAIN WE'RE IMPROVISING WITH THE COVID RESTRICTION THAT WE HAVE.

WE WANT TO MAKE SURE WE GET IN THE COMMUNITY AND BRING SANTA AROUND.

WE WILL DO IT DIFFERENTLY THIS YEAR. WE LOOK FORWARD TO THOSE EVENTS.

IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS FOR US. >> ANYBODY HAVE ANY QUESTIONS? >> I THINK WITH THE DISTRIBUTION SITES. I THINK IT WOULD BE MULLENS PARK.

I THINK WHERE THE COVID TESTING BEING DONE. THOSE WOULD TRANSITION TO

VACCINE SITES. THAT'S MY -- >> KROCORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.

SOME ARE SET UP BY THE STATE. >> YES. >> VERY GOOD.

>> COMMENT BUSINESS THE CITY MANAGER. >> THANK YOU GUYS.

COMMENTS BY THE CITY ATTORNEY? MOTION TO ADJOURN. >> MOTION TO
