I WAS TRYING TO THINK OF AN APPROPRIATE ANALOGY FOR THE SEVEN YEAR EXPERIENCE THAT I AND MANY, MANY OTHER RESIDENTS IN THE CITY HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH LENNAR. [6. THERE ARE STILL COMPLAINTS COMING FROM EVERY SINGLE IN OUR COMMUNITY AS COMPARED TO EVERY OTHER DEVELOPER IN THE HISTORY OF THIS CITY. IT IS A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE. THERE IS NO SIGN ON THE BACK OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD THE LANDSCAPING IS SUBPAR. WELL, I DO NOT PERSONALLY HAVE A LARGE DRAINAGE PROBLEM AT THIS TIME. MUCH OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD DOES, WHICH RESULTS IN MOLDY SIDEWALKS THAT COULD BE A SLIP AND FALL ISSUE. THERE ARE NO LIGHTS ON AT THE CLUBHOUSE PARKING LOT. I WALK TO GET MY MAIL LAST NIGHT AND FELT VERY UNSAFE. THE CLUBHOUSE PARKING IS FULL OF PARKING LOTS FULL OF TRASH. A NEWLY BUILT MAILBOX PLATFORM IS CONSTANTLY WITH SITTING WATER, NOT JUST FROM THE STORM AND THE SLAB IS NOT PAINTED OR FINISHED. THERE ARE STAINS EVERYWHERE. AC DEFECTS. WE FOUND THAT OUR ATTIC AC DUCTS WERE NOT PROPERLY SEALED WHERE THEY CONNECT TO THE MIXING BOXES AND VENTS, WHICH HAS RESULTED IN COLD AIR LEAKING DIRECTLY INTO THE ATTIC. THERE ARE ALSO IMPROPER ATTIC INSULATION ISSUES THAT ARE WIDESPREAD AND WELL DOCUMENTED AS CAUSING SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF CONDENSATION TO FORM ON DUCTS AND MIXING BOXES IN THE ATTIC IN GENERAL. THE CONDENSATION POOLS AND ULTIMATELY MOLD CAUSES MOLD TO GROW. WE'VE SHOWN LENNAR WRITTEN REPORTS BY THIRD PARTY COMPANIES DETAILING THE DEFECTS, AS WELL AS THERMAL IMAGES FROM A HOME INSPECTOR SHOWING THE AC AIR LEAKS. FIFTY FOUR DEGREE AIR BLOWING DIRECTLY INTO ONE HUNDRED PLUS DEGREE. HOT, HUMID ATTIC CREATES MASSIVE CONDENSATION. WE'VE ALSO SHOWN LENNAR VIDEO FROM THE INSPECTOR RUNNING HIS HAND ACROSS THE DUCTING AND ENDING UP WITH WATER DRIPPING OFF HIS HANDS. LENNAR SENT THEIR OWN INSPECTOR WHO CONFIRMED THE ISSUES. AND THEY STILL HAVE NOTHING DONE NOTHING. OTHER NEIGHBORS IN THE COMMUNITY WITH THE SAME PROBLEM HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY ARE CAUSING THE CONDENSATION ISSUES BY KEEPING THEIR THERMOSTATS BELOW SEVENTY FIVE DEGREES. SO THERE IS NOTHING TO FIX. WE HAVE MOLD THAT HAS GROWN BECAUSE OF THE CONDENSATION ISSUE. LENNAR'S ANSWER IN ONE LOCATION WAS TO SCRAPE THE MOLD OFF AND PAINT OVER THE SPOT WHERE IT WAS GROWING WHILE DOING NOTHING TO REMEDIATE THE BUILDER DEFECT, CAUSING THE CONDENSATION MOISTURE IN THE FIRST PLACE. LARGE NUMBERS OF [INAUDIBLE] RESIDENTS HAVE REPORTED IDENTICAL BUILDER DEFECTS, AND L ENNAR GENERALLY HAS DONE LITTLE TO NOTHING TO PERMANENTLY RESOLVE THESE ISSUES. WE'VE HAD WARRANTY TICKETS OPEN FOR MANY OF THESE ISSUES FOR OVER A YEAR AND HAVE ESCALATED TO MANAGEMENT WITHIN LENNAR WITH ZERO PROGRESS. THIS LACK OF ACTION ISN'T LIMITED TO THE AC ISSUES. WE HAVE OVER 70 WARRANTY TICKETS OPEN WITH LENNAR AND IF WE DON'T HARASS OUR CUSTOMER CARE REP DAILY BY VOICE AND TEXT, NOTHING GETS DONE. BY CHASING THEM DAILY, WE CAN GET ONE OR TWO MINOR ISSUES FIXED PER MONTH. ANOTHER WIDESPREAD ISSUE WITH [INAUDIBLE] IS LITTLE TO NO DRAINAGE IN OUR SIDE YARDS, DEGRADING OF THE SOIL IS NOT STEEP ENOUGH TO ACTIVELY DRAIN WATER TO THE FRONT AND SIDE YARDS. THE FRONT YARD GRADES ARE ALSO BELOW THE SIDEWALKS, WHICH ACTS LIKE A DAM AND CAUSES WATER TO POOL AND SIT IN THE FRONT YARDS, AS WELL AS THE UNDERGROUND UTILITY BOXES ARE ALMOST ALWAYS COMPLETELY FLOODED WITH WATER. THIS IS NOT ONLY COSMETICALLY AND FUNCTIONALLY HORRENDOUS, I DREAD BRINGING MY GARBAGE CANS FROM THE BACK TO FRONT YARDS AS I KNOW I'LL BE A MUDDY, MUDDY MESS WHEN I'M DONE. BUT IT'S ALSO A HEALTH HAZARD. STANDING WATER AND SOIL ACTIVELY BREEDS BACTERIA, MOSQUITOES AND OTHER INSECTS THAT ARE HEALTH HAZARDS. CHILDREN AND PETS BECOME A MUDDY MESS GOING THROUGH THEM, AND A HANDFUL OF SWAMP BACTERIA INTO EYES, NOSE OR MOUTH IS ALL IT TAKES TO MAKE THEM SICK. I'M TRULY DISGUSTED THAT WHEN I BOUGHT A HIGH END HOME IN A BEAUTIFUL CITY LIKE PARKLAND AND HAVING TO APPEAL FOR HELP TO GET MOLD AND WATER OUT OF MY HOUSE AS WELL AS MY SIDE YARD, LENNAR MUST BE SEVERELY PENALIZED AND HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO RESOLVE THESE HEALTH HAZARDS AND HONOR THEIR WARRANTY AND OBLIGATIONS TO THE CITY AND HOMEOWNERS THAT OUR HOMES WILL NOT ENDANGER OUR HEALTH. I AM ASKING THE CITY OF PARKLAND TO IMMEDIATELY ISSUE A STOP WORK ORDER ON ALL LENNAR PROJECTS WITHIN THE CITY UNTIL ALL OF THESE BUILDER DEFECTS ARE PROPERLY REMEDIATED AND EXISTING LENNAR BUILT COMMUNITIES. [00:15:01] FROM DAY ONE WE MOVED INTO THIS COMMUNITY DECEMBER 2017 AS ONE OF THE FIRST ONES. WE HAD ONGOING ISSUES EITHER WITH OUR HOME OR THE COMMUNITY BEING MANAGED THROUGH LENNAR . I CAN STATE AFTER OVER 60 ISSUES, SOME OF THEM BEING SEVERE, WINDOW LEAKS, MOLD, GARAGE DOOR LEAKS, KITCHENS. IT TOOK US OVER TWO YEARS TO SETTLE IN. SOME OF THEM EVEN HAD HEALTH IMPACTS ON MY WIFE'S WELL-BEING. LENNAR WAS ABSOLUTELY DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH AND ALWAYS PUT THE CUSTOMER AS THE NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE ENTITY TO ARGUE AGAINST TO THE LEVELS OF EVEN INSULTING ONE. DRAINAGE. FLORIDA IS A WET CLIMATE, AND WITH THE RECENT RAINY WEATHER FOR A LONGER DURATION, OUR GREEN AREAS AROUND THE HOME ARE NOT WALKABLE AS IT SOAKED WITH WATER. THERE'S NO PROPER DRAINAGE. SIDEWALKS. THE DRAINAGE CREATES ISSUES AND STAINS ON THE SIDEWALKS WHERE HOA PUTS THE CLEANLINESS OF THOSE ON THE HOMEOWNERS, EVEN THOUGH IT IS JUST LACK OF PROPER ENGINEERING BY LENNAR. THE COMMUNITY IS SOLD AS LUXURY HOMES, BUT MAINTENANCE IS AT ITS LOWEST LEVELS, AND WE NEVER EXPERIENCED A COMMUNITY/HOA. SIDEWALKS, ROAD DEBRIS, LANDSCAPING, SIGNAGE FALLING APART, ET CETERA. TREES FALLING DOWN WITH EVERY MINOR STORM, LANDSCAPING IS NOT PROPERLY PLANTING TREES, AS THEY ARE ALWAYS FALLING DOWN WITH MINOR STORMS. CLUBHOUSE IS STILL NOT COMPLETED AND GETS DELAYED. LENNAR IS CLEARLY DRIVEN BY SHAREHOLDER VALUE, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NONEXISTENT. EVERYTHING HAS BEEN TAILORED TOWARD LENNAR BENEFIT FROM WARRANTY QUESTIONS, LOW QUALITY HOMES AND CRAFTSMANSHIP TO INCREASE PROFIT MARGINS, NOT ACCOUNTABLE AND URGENT MATTERS. IN SUMMARY, IT IS A PERFECT MARKETING FACADE OF LUXURY HOMES, BUT AT THE END, ONE BUYS MORE HAZARD. HOW DOES THIS EVEN COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE? WE HAVE BEEN ENGAGED IN OUR NURSING HOME ON WEEKLY BASIS WITH WEB NATURALS WITH OUR MEDICAL DIRECTOR PROVIDING THEM GUIDELINE AND RECOMMENDATION ASSIST THEM HOW TO FEEL FOR PPE AND EQUIPMENT FROM THE STATE AND GIVING THEM FROM OUR STOCKPILE UNTIL THEY RECEIVE THOSE TO KEEP THEM SAFE. WE DID THIS ON WEEKLY BASIS BECAUSE IT'S IMPORTANT. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE PROTECTED AND MAKE SURE OUR CREWS ARE PROTECTED. THERE'S A LOT OF THINGS GOING ON. WE'RE STILL MOVING FORWARD. WE HIRED 7 PEOPLE TO FEEL VACANCIES THAT GOT ON THE ROAD OCTOBER 3RD. OUT ON THE WORKFORCE. WE HAVE EQUIPMENT COMING IN.
